Ben Affleck Talks Best Actor Competition Against Matt Damon (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Nov 30th 2010 5:30AM
When Ben Affleck visited 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC), Jimmy Kimmel happily showed the studio audience a little competition that's going on in the pages of 'Variety' magazine between Affleck and his BFF Matt Damon.Holding up an issue of the entertainment industry publication, he pointed to one of those "For Your Consideration" ads that inundate the season, as industry voters consider who to nominate for Oscars, among other awards. The cover ad promoted Affleck as Best Actor for his role in 'The Town.' However, the inside cover page revealed a Best Actor ad for Damon's role in 'Hereafter.'
Affleck laughed and said, "Those pictures look a little strangely meditative." Kimmel agreed, joking, "It looks like you guys are waiting for the call at five o'clock in the morning to see if you're nominated." The host needled him further, trying to get Affleck to admit to competitive tension between the two friends.

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 26th 2010 1:55AM
Actress Bryce Dallas Howard is appearing in the new film 'Hereafter,' which involves psychic phenomena and after-death experiences. But on the new 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS), Dallas reveals a startling secret: She herself is psychic. (Probably.)Bryce tells the story of running into her future husband -- actor Seth Gabel -- for the first time. Somehow, she instantly "knew" that he was the man she would marry. Howard's reaction wasn't just mental, it was physical as well. "I literally broke into hives," she said.
Breaking out into a itchy rash isn't a sign of true love for most people, but it was for Bryce. After meeting Seth, she went home and wrote in her journal that she would one day marry him.
Clint Eastwood and Jimmy Kimmel Discuss Heaven and Hell (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 22nd 2010 5:31AM
Actor Clint Eastwood has appeared in 57 movies. But according to Jimmy Kimmel, Eastwood has only "died" in three of his fictional roles. That's a good ratio! But since Clint just directed the film 'Hereafter' -- which involves life after death -- Jimmy had a few more questions for him So on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), things got a little ... philosophical. "Do you believe that there is a heaven?" Kimmel asked. "If there is one, will you get into it?"
