Not everything is a long-running classic in the fickle world that is television. You may feel that your show has the right mix of acting, writing and directing to be a favorite for indefinite first-run and syndicated airings, but the viewers may have other ideas.

And when that happens, your show could disappear before the cover art is even dry for the complete series DVD set.

The year 2010 had no shortage of these short timers. In fact, the 2010-2011 season has already seen not one, not two but three series that bowed out after only two episodes. This, despite long-promoted hype and pre-season buzz. Mentioned here are the 2010 programs that had shorter runs than the presidency of William Henry Harrison.

'High Society' didn't mean high ratings.

The CW reality show, about infamous New York City socialite of Tinsley Mortimer, has been canceled after one season, according to the NY Post.

Viewership had fallen below one million per episode, according to the report.

Mortimer, who has been described as a charity-ball staple, model and designer, was not happy about her portrayal on the show and complained to producers about her depiction. Mortimer was reportedly upset about how her conflict with rival Devorah Rose was shown on the show.

Tommy DiDario knew that with Paul Johnson Calderon ("PJC") came drama, but he has limits. On the season (perhaps series) finale of 'High Society' (Wed., 9:30PM ET on CW), PJC ignored his boyfriend at a party and was later caught cheating on DiDario with another guy.

Tinsley Mortimer and Constantine Maroulis made for a slightly odd couple on last night's 'High Society' (Wed., 9:30PM ET on CW), but they seemed to enjoy themselves. While just hanging out in a Manhattan club, Mortimer and her friends ran into Maroulis, the fourth-season 'American Idol' finalist and post-'Idol' Broadway actor.

Jules Kirby and Devorah Rose exhibited much unladylike behavior on last night's 'High Society' (Wed., 9:30PM ET on CW). Kirby showed up uninvited at Rose's launch party for her new bikini line. "I'm actually doing stuff with my life; I have a job," said Rose in defense of the party.

The staff in Jules Kirby's sphere have finally had it with the rude socialite. Friend of Manhattan's "Park Avenue Princess" Tinsley Mortimer, Jules has been a controversial presence on the 'High Society' (Wed., 9:30PM ET on CW) reality show since its debut last month. Her foul mouth, bigoted remarks, N bombs, Hitler impersonations and talking down to the help were finally too much on last night's episode.

After "certain instances" in the hotel, she was escorted out and asked to never return. It appears her main response was, "Where's the (bleep) cab?" Nice.

The press surrounding Manhattan socialite Tinsley Mortimer's reality series 'High Society' (Wed. 9pm, CW) has been all over the place, mostly thanks to the antics of fellow castmates Jules Kirby and Paul Johnson Calderon.

But we've chosen to shift the focus onto a lesser known member of 'Society': Tommy DiDario, who happens to be Calderon's boyfriend on the show.

We recently sat down with DiDario, a New Jersey native and Ford model, to dish on the speculations behind 'High Society''s reality, gay romance in the media and whether or not he'd do a spinoff.

That Jules is pretty classy on 'High Society' (Wed., 9:30PM ET on The CW), isn't she? After meeting a guy with a German name, she immediately launches into a totally inappropriate impersonation of Hitler. Yes, Hitler!

Really, Jules? You don't like being told what to do? Even when you're making a complete ass of yourself? You might want to re-think that.

Did the fist pumping antics on MTV's 'Jersey Shore' lure you into the show? Well, get ready for a new dose of outrageous reality when 'High Society' hits The CW on March 10. 'High Society's' star Tinsley Mortimer said there are similarities.

"I'm obsessed with 'Jersey Shore'! I love that show and I love those guys. I got a picture with The Situation and Pauly D," Mortimer told PopEater. "I've seen celebrities. I've seen Madonna. I've never rushed anybody for a picture ever, but I had to when I saw those guys. I love them.

"I can see that there would be a comparison, and we definite have a lot of crazy stuff happen on our show too, but I think it's fun to watch that stuff. It's fun to get a peek into people's lives that way," she said. "People really being themselves and just the craziness."
