'Glee' Christmas Previews: Santa Has Come Early
Last year we got a taste of 'Glee' seasonal music when the cast recorded a cover of 'Last Christmas,' but this year Gleeks are in for a real treat because there's a whole album of holiday music hitting stores. Can't wait to put on your tracksuit and deck your own halls to the voices of Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley and the rest of the cast on Nov. 16 when the album hits? Well, if you can get by with little snippets then we have you covered. Song previews are below.
But wait, you want more 'Glee'? (Of course you do) How about some spoilers from the very special Christmas episode?
Sister Act: Zooey Deschanel to Guest Star on 'Bones'
For most people, the holidays are a time for family rituals. Decorating the Christmas tree. Lighting the menorah. Solving a gruesome murder. OK, maybe that's not part of most family holidays, but that's exactly what 'Bones' has in store for fans this year, as Fox has announced Zooey Deschanel will be a special guest star for this year's holiday episode. Zooey, who has appeared in numerous films such as '500 Days of Summer' and 'Elf', will team up with her sister, 'Bones' star Emily Deschanel, for the first time on screen.
New episodes of Monk and Psych air Friday night
When it comes to program scheduling the cable networks don't need no stinkin' badges to do what they normally do. That's why there are Law & Order marathons on TNT during every federal holiday and episodes of Dog, The Bounty Hunter on A&E. It is also the reason why we see new holiday episodes from shows like The Closer in December when their seasons end in September.
So, it should be no surprise that new holiday-themed episodes of Monk and Psych are airing this Friday on the USA Network. Actually, it should be no surprise that Monk is offering a holiday tale since it has done so for the last three years. This is Psych's first entry into the holiday episode universe. And, regardless if it is their first or third holiday entry, both shows look like interesting viewing.
A complete list of Christmas shows on DVD
TVShowsonDVD has a cool list of all of the TV shows currently available on DVD that contain holiday episodes.
Now, at first glance it just looks like their regular list of TV shows that are available on television in general, but if you look closer you'll see that they actually tell you what season set has the holiday episodes. For example, say you want to see what Johnny Depp and the other cops on 21 Jump Street did for Christmas. That would be the season 2 DVD set. Or maybe you wanted to see what seasons of M*A*S*H had a Christmas episode, and that would be the season 1, 5, 7, 9, and 10 sets. There are even some sets that are nothing but Christmas episodes, like the America's Funniest Home Videos: Home For The Holidays set or the Christmas episodes DVD from Ozzie & Harriet.
The list is worth it just to see that Xena: Warrior Princess had a Christmas episode, in season 2. Wow.
