Ann Coulter Doesn't Back Down on Her Claim Mike Huckabee Is a 'Liberal' Christian (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Oct 11th 2010 5:57PM
Conservative provocateur Ann Coulter has a theory that there is no such thing as a "liberal" Christian, and that left-leaning politicians who claim religion are just atheists who are trying to trick the devout into voting for them.

However, she recently amended that, claiming that Mike Huckabee, a former Republican governor and candidate for president, is in fact a genuine liberal Christian.

Annoyed that Coulter had slapped him with the scarlet "L" Huckabee confronted her on 'Huckabee' (Saturday, 8PM on Fox News), and listed his conservative bona fides.

"Nobody has been more of a proponent of traditional marriage, and of stable marriage, than me," Huckabee claimed. "Nobody has been more adamant about the fact that the government shouldn't be spending money that isn't their's -- and I was against the TARP bill ... I was against stimulus, I was against Obamacare."

"You have many excellent positions," conceded Coulter, but then insisted Huckabee would remain stuck in "liberal" Christian purgatory until he reevaluated his stance that foreign-born children of illegal immigrants should be given a path to citizenship.

Jon Voight is Beffudled by Mayor Bloomberg's Support for the 'Ground Zero Mosque' (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 13th 2010 12:30PM
Jon Voight was on 'Huckebee' (Saturday, 8 PM ET on Fox News) and offered up some conspiratorial-sounding opinions on the so-called 'Ground Zero Mosque.'

Voight expressed his bewilderment that New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg had OK'ed the mosque project, which Voight views as a "desecration against (a) heroic burial ground."

"I can only feel that there must be some personal agenda which we have yet to see," was how Voight characterized Bloomberg's support for the mosque. "And I'm going to be waiting for it."

We hope that when this "personal agenda" is exposed, it turns out to be something really wacky -- like Bloomberg being hopelessly addicted to falafel.

Frank Caliendo Is Working on His Obama Impression (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 7th 2010 2:30PM
Comedian Frank Caliendo gained prominence by imitating the voices of Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, among other luminaries. This weekend on 'Huckebee' (Saturday 8 PM ET on Fox News), he broke out his new Obama impression, though admitted it's still a work in progress.

"(Obama) begins sentences with the words 'look' or 'here's the deal,' Caliendo explained to Huckabee's audience, while imitating the President. "Now if he says both of them he thinks it's pretty important, and its probably going to cost you a couple bucks."

It's the cadence, like he talks slow at the beginning," Caliendo continued. "And-speeds-up-at-the-end."

Given the lack of good Obama impersonators out there, Caliendo's early efforts are already pretty solid. Still, it's unlikely Caliendo will become the go-to imitator of the president, because, as he pointed out "it (looks) like Cartman from South Park trying to do him."

A Daily Show: February 4, 2008

by Annie Wu, posted Feb 5th 2008 1:00AM
Conan, Stephen, and JonOccasionally, I will watch a particularly crazy episode of The Daily Show or The Colbert Report and sit through the credits feeling very angry with myself. "I had nothing to do today," I often think. "I could have jumped onto a bus and gone to a taping to get a piece of that awesomeness." Well, I am sad to report that this happened again, but this time in the most extreme way possible. I'm itching to talk about it and let my fangirly nerves express themselves, but I need to go through this chronologically or my brain will explode.

The Daily Show: January 10, 2007

Jon StewartJon Stewart started off by sharing the New York Daily News' list of the Top Ten Best Dressed New Yorkers... He was #10. I laughed even before he showed the photos of himself in daywear, because in just about every photo of Jon I've seen out in public or with fans, he's wearing the same grey t-shirt. Ah, no matter. Any list that honors Jon is a good list.
