Marie Osmond Talk Show on Hold & More TV News
Marie Osmond's talk show dreams have become just that -- dreams. The show has reportedly been put on hold due to poor ad sales in the local TV ad market.
Also in the news today: CBS strikes a 'Deal,' while Tyra Banks books another CW show.

What to Watch Thursday, Nov. 13
'ER'(10PM, NBC)
No, no, don't worry ... there'll be no "Bobby in the shower" scene as original 'ER' cast member Anthony Edwards returns to guest star in tonight's episode.
Dr. Mark Greene, sadly, is still dead from that season eight brain tumor. Instead, he returns via a flashback that cleverly sheds light on the past of Dr. Banfield (Angela Bassett). Stressed out from her hospital duties, Banfield decides to go for a run, where she happens upon a three-year-old girl who's drowning in a lake.
While trying to save the tot, Banfield flashes back to years earlier, when her son was a patient at County, and Dr. Greene was caring for him.

What to Watch Thursday, Oct. 16
'ER'(10PM, NBC)
With Pratt's shocking exit in the season premiere, the upcoming return of original cast members Anthony Edwards and Noah Wyle and ongoing rumors of George Clooney's return, 'ER' producers are making sure the show ends its 15-season run with style.
And tonight, add another major shake-up to the mix, as Maura Tierney's Abby Lockhart bids County General adieu. Unlike with Pratt's death, Abby's departure is less dramatic, as she decides to leave Chicago with her son and husband, Goran Visnjic's Luka Kovac.
Fans of Tierney needn't fret that she'll be gone from TV land for long, however; she'll play Denis Leary's love interest on 'Rescue Me' next spring.
New Iconoclasts include Bill Maher, Venus Williams, Tony Hawk
Iconoclasts is one of those shows where I always say, "hey, that sounds kinda cool, I gotta watch that...when is it on again?" and then I promptly forget to watch it or even set my TiVo. But this year's lineup sounds like something that will make me remember. The Sundance Channel show returns in October with these episodes: Bill Maher and Clive Davis; Jon Favreau and Tony Hawk; Venus Williams and Wyclef Jean; Stella McCartney and artist Edward Ruscha; Cameron Diaz and architect Cameron Sinclair; and Richard Branson and Desmond Tutu.
Virgin America and Sundance Channel make a deal
Virgin America, the newest start-up airline in these United States, has inked a deal with Sundance Channel to create a customer in-flight channel for it's passengers.
The new channel, Sundance Channel for Virgin America (catchy, ain't it?) will feature a collection of the cable network's feature films and documentaries as well as original programming such as Iconoclasts and Kath and Kim. In addition, Sunny Virgin (which I think is a much better name for the in-flight network) will air original episodes of the new documentary series Nimrod Nation three weeks before they air on the cable network. Nation, which will focus on the town of Watersmeet, Michigan and their obsession with their high school basketball team (the Nimrods) will air on the in-flight channel on November 1st, while it will air on the Sundance Channel on November 26th.
