Here's a photo of Drew Carey's recent arm injury that he got last week while on the set of The Price is Right. It looks pretty painful. He somehow managed to get his arm caught in a spinning floor as the Grocery Game appeared on stage during rehearsals. He ended up going to the hospital (briefly).

Carey talked about it on the KROQ Los Angeles radio show, Kevin & Bean, this week and showed off pictures, more of which can be found at Entertainment Tonight's website. Did anybody hear that show? I'm not sure what he said, but Drew is fine and I'm sure he joked about it to the DJs.

Poor, sweet Jenna Fischer! She broke her back in four places when she took a tumble down some marble stairs a couple of weeks ago and it looks like she'll spend the rest of the summer recovering from her injuries. She recently gave an interview about her accident, and says she felt her feet fly out from underneath her and landed hard on the stairs. She says the pain "was consuming and immediate. I never felt anything like it." She's still in pain, but manages to keep a sunny outlook in the interview (isn't that why we adore her?).

Jenna has slowly been on the mend since the May 14th accident. She has been in a lot of pain and has not been able to travel back home to Los Angeles (she's in NYC). She's been taking slow walks in Central Park to try and heal her back. Jenna says she has received warm wishes from cast members of The Office, and even got some cupcakes from Zach Braff, who happened to be at the party where she fell.

Luckily, Jenna had just wrapped shooting a movie with John C. Reilly where they play a skewed version of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash so it's just her summer vacation, and not her work schedule, that is being interrupted. Jenna has to rest and recover for the next 12 weeks, and then it's right back to the set of The Office. You can send her your well wishes at her MySpace page.

Apparently Ms. Jenna Fischer had a bit of a tumble involving some high heels and a marble staircase. Whitney over at Pop Candy is reporting that Fischer fell down some stairs on Monday as she was trying to maneuver in very high heels. Jenna broke her back in four places. She was in New York at the time and now is being cared for by her husband, filmmaker James Gunn, and The Office co-star, Angela Kinsey. You can send her a Get Well Soon note at her MySpace page.

The Office has wrapped for the season so her injury won't hamper her role as Pam Beesly, but it's going to be a crappy summer for sweet Jenna.

A few months ago, I mentioned that ABC's Bob Woodruff, who was injured in Iraq last January, will be making a special for the network about his recovery. Well, the AP is reporting that an air date for the special has been set: tentatively titled To Iraq and Back: Bob Woodruff Reports, it will air on February 27.

In the special, Woodruff will not only talk about his long recovery process from his injuries, but he'll also speak to the medical personnel that helped him, as well as eyewitnesses to the roadside bomb attack. He'll also profile military rescue teams that work to get injured soldiers out of harm's way and to various field hospitals.

As was also announced this past fall, Woodruff and his wife Lee will also write a memoir on his recovery, to be published by Random House.

The gals who sit in the studio audience at Oprah can be brutal. One former audience member is suing Oprah's production company, claiming she was injured in the mad dash to get a good seat. Tayna Milner said she was pushed down some stairs at Harpo Studios in Chicago before a taping on April 11th. Milner is seeking more than $50,000 in damages for unspecified injuries, as reported by the Chicago Tribune. She is claiming that Harpo employees failed to keep control of the crowd of 40-something mothers with makeovers and cardigan sweaters (okay, I made up that last part).

This whole story goes along with how I picture Oprah's audience when it's not being taped. I always imagine women pulling each other's hair and dumping out their purses in the fight to get a good seat.

Eva Longoria took a tumble Wednesday as she stepped out of her trailer on the set of Desperate Housewives. Her publicist says she slipped on a stair as she left the trailer and landed flat on her back. She was taken to the hospital, where doctors determined that nothing is broken but her ribs are pretty bruised up. Despite the pain she's in, Eva won't miss a day of work. She was also injured in August 2005 when a piece of equipment knocked her on the head but, again, she didn't miss any work.

Access Hollywood anchor Billy Bush is blaming himself for Eva's fall. On his MSNBC blog, Billy says he was on the phone with Longoria as she stepped out of her trailer and fell. He says he called her back but the phone went to voicemail and then she called (while he was watching Dancing with the Stars) to explain what happened.

Well, she didn't cut it on purpose, although that would have made a more interesting story. I'm always interested in people who jab their eyes with shards of glass on purpose, but in this instance it was simply a matter of a light bulb exploding on the set of Desperate Housewives and glass getting into Teri Hatcher's eye and scratching her cornea. This could have been serious, of course, but she's apparently in good condition after visiting an eye doctor, save for the eye patch she has to wear. Not many people know this, but exploding light bulbs actually kill twenty million people every year. It is second only to being hit in the head by a potato while riding a bicycle. Really, check any medical journal.

Cameraman Doug Vogt is out of the hospital and headed to the home he shares with his wife in France. Vogt and ABC World News Tonight anchor Bob Woodruff were riding with a military convoy outside of Baghdad last month when the vehicle they were riding in hit a roadside bomb. Both men were treated by military personnel and flown to Germany and then America for treatment. Vogt was released from Bethesda Medical Center this week, but Woodruff remains sedated. Doctors say Woodruff may be able to move to a care facility near his home in New York in the next few weeks.
