by Laura Prudom, posted Dec 2nd 2011 10:30AM
Maggie QTonight, The CW will air the last 'Nikita' episode of 2011, which will probably result in much wailing and rending of garments when we're left with an inevitable and infuriating cliffhanger to speculate over for the next four weeks.

Suspecting that this whole "winter hiatus" nonsense was just another evil scheme devised by Division to lower our morale, we decided to track down the show's elusive heroine to gather some much-needed intel on Nikita's relationships with Michael, Alex, Owen and Ryan.

In addition to supplying us with scoop about Nikita's potential romances and the character's troubled backstory, Maggie Q also shared a few of her favorite charitable organizations with us, just in case you're in a giving mood this holiday season. Jerry Sandusky Tells Bob Costas: 'I Shouldn't Have Showered With Those Kids' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 15th 2011 6:55AM
'Rock Center'Last night while ABC aired its exclusive interview with Gabrielle Giffords, NBC's 'Rock Center' aired its own exclusive as Bob Costas talked to former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky and his attorney. Discussing allegations against him of sexual abuse dating back to 1994, Sandusky -- who has been charged on a 40-count indictment -- protested his innocence.

The interview made for uncomfortable viewing at times, with Sandusky admitting that he had, at least, made some highly questionable choices in his interaction with children. When Costas asked if he was "completely innocent and falsely accused in every aspect?" Sandusky replied "I have done some of those things. I have horsed around with kids. I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them and I have touched their leg. Without," he added, "intent of sexual contact."

'Vampire Diaries' Star Michael Trevino on Getting Close with Klaus & the Rift with Caroline

by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 10th 2011 12:00PM
Michael TrevinoMystic Falls has been painfully bereft of everyone's favorite werewolf-turned-hybrid for the past two weeks, but thankfully, all of that is set to change with tonight's action-packed midseason finale.

Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) has been one of the most dynamic characters on 'The Vampire Diaries' thus far, evolving from misunderstood jock to angst-ridden lycanthrope to his new position as Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) right-hand hybrid over the course of three seasons. Where he'll end up next is anyone's guess, but according to Trevino, it's sure to be a compelling ride.

We caught up with the actor to get the scoop on Tyler and Caroline, his new bromance with Klaus and what fans can expect when 'TVD' returns from its two-month hiatus in January.

Proceed with caution, spoilers ahead!

'Nikita' Star Shane West Reassures Fans That Mikita Is Not Dead Yet

by Laura Prudom, posted Oct 27th 2011 2:30PM
Shane WestLast week's 'Nikita' left fans reeling, after it was revealed that our heroine's loyal lover Michael (Shane West) had an illegitimate son with a former flame -- and, even worse, the episode ended with Michael still oblivious to the boy's identity. Nikita (Maggie Q.) seemingly agreed to keep the secret from Michael for his son's safety, but since the producers have been teasing a major rift between the pair all summer long, we assume it's only a matter of time until the truth comes out.

Last week, we caught up with Shane West to get his take on his character's shocking new storyline, quizzing him on how Cassandra and Max's arrival might affect his relationship with Nikita and whether our favorite couple will need some space (perhaps on separate continents) after Michael discovers what Nikita is hiding.

Spoilers ahead.

'Nikita' Guest Star Devon Sawa Talks Owen's Return and a Potential Romance with Alex

by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 28th 2011 11:00AM

And did we mention he'll be wearing a tuxedo?

'Awkward.' Star Ashley Rickards Talks Finale Secrets, Jake and Matty Love Triangle and the Carefrontation Letter

by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 27th 2011 11:00AM
Awkward Jenna HamiltonOnce in a rare while, a new teen comedy will come along that transcends clichés, ignores the urge to talk down to its audience, and leaves lazy dialogue for the laugh-track crowd. On the big screen, we were recently treated to 'Mean Girls' and 'Easy A,' but we've been long-overdue for a comedy the caliber of 'Awkward.' on TV.

The writing is razor sharp, the emotions are relatable, and every character is so delightfully weird (in a believably teenage way), that it's impossible not to fall in love with them. But it's not a broadcast network that can boast of discovering this diamond in the rough -- it's MTV. Say what you will about 'Jersey Shore' and the failed translation of 'Skins,' I'm here to tell you that 'Awkward.' could go toe to toe with 'Modern Family' (or any other Emmy-winning comedy) and elicit more laughs in a half hour than anything the big four networks could offer, and not just in the teen demo.

Ahead of tonight's season finale, AOL TV caught up with Ashley Rickards, star of the underrated comedy, to get her thoughts on the show's important message, the trials of a love triangle, and what fans can look forward to in season two. Mild spoilers ahead.

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 13th 2011 5:57AM
Lady Gaga, 'Gaga by Gaultier'In a strange bit of programming The CW devoted over an hour to 'Gaga by Gaultier' (Mon., 8PM ET on The CW), wherein Lady Gaga and French designer Jean Paul Gaultier interviewed one another. The two covered nearly every topic imaginable in the 75-minute running time, including Gaga's love of Madonna.

While reports had surfaced recently that Madonna questioned whether Gaga's "obsessions have to do with" Madonna were "rooted in something deep and meaningful, or superficial."

Gaga certainly sounded sincere in her admiration for Madonna in this interview. "She was so brave, and every day when I'm working, I think about bravery," Gaga said of Madonna. "You have to always push forward and be unafraid."

'Vampire Diaries' Star Michael Trevino on Secrets, Romance and a Shocking Showdown

by Laura Prudom, posted Jan 26th 2011 4:30PM
Michael TrevinoWhen we last paid a visit to Mystic Falls, a bad moon was on the rise, bringing with it a harrowing transformation for Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino). As the latest in a long line of Lockwoods cursed with lycanthropy, we knew that Tyler's metamorphosis was a foregone conclusion, but most 'Vampire Diaries' fans probably weren't expecting the ordeal to be quite so intense -- and the end product was an impressive testament to the actor's work ethic and his dedication to the character.

Ahead of the show's return this Thursday (8PM, The CW) we caught up with Trevino to get the scoop on what's coming up for Tyler and Caroline, what that might mean for his friendship with Matt and what we can expect from the sudden influx of werewolves heading to Mystic Falls. Beware of spoilers.

David Blue Talks 'Stargate Universe' Season 2, Ship Romances and David Hewlett

by Mike Moody, posted Nov 9th 2010 4:20PM
david blue stargate universe 'Stargate Universe' has come a long way since it premiered last October. Now in its second season, the Syfy series has mostly ditched the tedious slow-burn plots that marked the first half of its freshman year for more action, adventure and space madness (CGI aliens! Space pirates! Starships that frak with your mind!).

But not everyone is a fan. 'SGU' still struggles with low ratings and with fans of the previous, sunnier 'Stargate' shows who, for whatever reason, aren't happy with the series' darker tone and character-based plots.

TV Squad got a chance to chat with David Blue, who plays slacker-genius Eli Wallace on the show, recently about 'SGU''s ratings vs. its DVR numbers, the angry fans and, of course, what we can expect from the rest of the second season.

SomethingPitchy Backstage With the Idols: Katie Stevens and Tim Urban (!!!)

Katie Stevens and Tim UrbanThis set of 'American Idol' Season 9 interviews are my personal favorites.

SomethingPitchy filmed backstage videos with the entire Top 10 last week at the 'Idols Live' tour in Newark. But the most exciting part of the whole trip was when SP host Andy Scott finally got to meet his favorite contestant Tim Urban! (Note Andy's flushed cheeks. Someone's got a crush!)

Andy also talked to eighth-place finisher and absolute cutie pie Katie Stevens, who though not yet 18, is already planning a sweet music tattoo.

Neil Grayston Geeks Out Over the 'Eureka'/'Warehouse 13' Crossover

by Mike Moody, posted Jul 23rd 2010 1:20PM
neil grayston eureka syfyNeil Grayston, the Canadian actor who plays bumbling nerd Douglas Fargo on Syfy's 'Eureka,' spent his summer doing things most geeks only dream about; like tinkering with larger-than-life science experiments and cozying up to 'Warehouse 13' cutie Allison Scagliotti.

'Eureka' returned to the tube earlier this month with a rebooted timeline that turned the oft-mocked Fargo into the director of Global Dynamics, the high-tech science imaginaruim at the heart of the show.

The new timeline gives Fargo more room to grow, Grayston says, and it gives viewers a chance to experience the show in a whole new light.

Grayston will pull double duty in August appearing on 'Eureka' and visiting Syfy sister series 'Warehouse 13' in a special crossover episode. We caught up with him recently to talk about the crossover event, the new fourth season of 'Eureka,' and what it feels like to be covered in green goo.

Barry Levinson Takes On Jack Kervorkian in 'You Don't Know Jack'

by Joel Keller, posted Apr 23rd 2010 11:05AM
Al Pacino, Jack Kervorkian and Barry Levinson at the premiere of HBO's 'You Don't Know Jack'What does it take to get Al Pacino, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Levinson together for an HBO movie? Only the story of Jack "Doctor Death" Kervorkian.

'You Don't Know Jack,' premiering on Saturday, April 24 at 9PM ET, chronicles the period when Dr. Kervorkian was helping terminally ill patients commit suicide. This includes the 1998 incident where he assisted a patient with ALS and sent the video to '60 Minutes,' which landed him in prison for eight years.

In addition to Pacino, who plays Kervorkian, and Sarandon, who plays his friend and euthanasia advocate Jane Good, the movie also stars John Goodman, Brenda Vaccaro and Danny Huston. Levinson, seen above with Pacino and Kervorkian, produced and directed the movie, the first time he's directed a feature-length movie for television.

The director of 'Rain Man,' 'Good Morning, Vietnam,' 'Wag The Dog,' and other classics spoke to me earlier this week about dealing with the touchy topic of Kervorkian, working with a pro like Pacino, and whether a movie like 'Diner' could ever be made today. His answer to that one is surprising.
