Casting Roundup: Kathryn Erbe Rejoins 'Law and Order: CI' for Final Season and More

Kathryn ErbeKathryn Erbe will join Vincent D'Onofrio for the final season of 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent.'

Erbe and D'Onofrio left the show at the start of season 9, but according to Ausiello Files, both will reprise their roles for an 8-episode season 10, the final season.

"I'm excited and grateful that Katie has decided to rejoin one of the best detective teams in the history of television," Dick Wolf, executive producer, said in a statement.

In other casting news ...

Al Pacino will play Phil Spector in a new HBO film. The film is being written by David Mamet and 'Rain Man' director Barry Levinson will serve as executive producer. [NY Times]

'Lost' star Rebecca Mader will guest star on 'Law & Order: Los Angeles.' Mader will play a character named Rebecca who gets run over by a car, but survives. Look for Mader to appear in the episode titled 'Pasadena,' the season's sixth episode. [Fancast]

Former 'Kyle XY' star Jamie Alexander will guest star on 'Nurse Jackie.' Alexander will play Jackie's wild sister-in-law for a multiple episode arc. Look for the character, Tunie, to appear in at least four episodes of the Showtime series. [Ausiello Files]

My post-Comic-Con report, part two

Morning was weird, as I was still on east-coast time. My alarm was set for 7 AM, but I was wide-awake by 5:30. I was scheduled to go to an X-Box breakfast that morning, but I was getting freaked out that I'd miss getting in to wait for the Stargate panels, most of which I was saving for Rich but I knew would be incredibly popular and busy. Thankfully I made the right decision -- the line for Ballroom 20 was already insane by the time I arrived.

As I waited for Ballroom 20, I saw another line creeping up the patio outside. I learned that this was just a glimpse of what to expect with waiting for panels in the enormous Hall H, as the line I saw was for the popular Watchmen panel. Trust me, part of me was jealous I wasn't in that line to see the new footage.

As soon as J.T. said that line after telling Josh he was in charge of The Rack, we knew that something would indeed happen on this particular Sunday. What happened? A newbie makes tons of mistakes, there are a lot of customers, money is missing from the cash register, there is a fit between two enemies, two customers clash, a couple must reevaluate how truthful they are to one another, a father figure plays mastermind games, and someone from the past resurfaces! Not an ordinary Sunday indeed!
