Fox Cancels 'In the Flow with Affion Crockett'
by Crystal Bell, posted Nov 1st 2011 4:30PM
This may come as quite a surprise -- especially for those of you that didn't even know this show was still on air -- but Fox has decided to cancel its freshman sketch comedy show, 'In the Flow with Affion Crockett.'The network aired six episodes of the show earlier this fall, on Sunday nights at 9:30PM ET.
Despite having some series comedy talent behind-the-scenes, like Jamie Foxx, 'Mad TV' co-creators Fax Bahr and Adam Small and 'Arrested Development' creator Mitch Hurwitz, the sketch comedy failed to find an audience, having only pulled in a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Jamie Foxx Tries to Teach Leno Some of Michael Jackson's Moves (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 23rd 2011 3:30AM
Jamie Foxx never got to meet Michael Jackson face-to-face, but he did get to see The Jacksons perform back in 1983. It was there that he learned the full power of Michael's presence, as he mentioned on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC)."He's the only man to make other grown men faint," Foxx marveled. He then showed Jay Leno how the fainting went down, but it was a bit later when he decided to try and show Leno how to do some of Jackson's patented moves that we were intrigued.
Jay Leno is many things, but a dancer as cool as Michael Jackson he is most definitely not. Foxx took him through the moonwalk, and even tried to get the host to tackle Jackson's patented crotch grab, which was as uncomfortable to watch as you'd imagine.
Obama and Palin Party Hard on Premiere of 'In the Flow with Affion Crockett' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 15th 2011 2:43AM
A new sketch comedy show premiered this weekend, picking up the reigns from 'In Living Color' and 'Chappelle's Show.' In fact, on 'In the Flow with Affion Crockett' (Sun., 9PM ET on FOX), Crockett even had relatives of Chappelle and the Wayans on to make it official, sort of. They were on right before he showed us his send-up of Chappelle. As you would expect with a sketch comedy show, the quality of the shorts varied dramatically. We loved the guest spots by Snoop Dogg, Russell Simmons and Samuel L. Jackson throughout the back-to-back installments we got in this premiere, but for every funny bit like Snoop Dogg in an 'Avatar' send-up, there were disappointing misfires like the arrogant gospel singer.

People say a lot of things about President Obama, but one thing you have to give the guy. He can take a joke at his expense. In the case of Jamie Foxx, it was deservedly so. On 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), Jay Leno showed footage of Foxx entertaining for the president. He stopped the music, though, to call the president out on the dancing skills he displayed on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.'
Foxx started mimicking the presidential moves, saying, "That definitely was not the black side in you right there."

Jamie Foxx has a teenage daughter. Corinne likes Justin Bieber, sure, but she "really like 'hood stuff," the actor shared on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS).Being a protective father, Foxx goes with her everywhere. Too bad he can't shield her from everything. At a Drake concert, "I just see a whole cloud of marijuana coming," he said.
He jumped up and hovered over George Lopez, pretending the host was his daughter. Flapping his arms, he yelled, "Don't breathe in, baby! It's bad for you, it's bad!" He continued to wave away the imaginary smoke, but turned around briefly to inhale a little, too.

During the monologue of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), Kimmel marveled that a rerun of 'Two and a Half Men' was the most-watched show Monday night. Being a family sitcom he thought there might be a negative reaction in the Nielsens to Charlie Sheen's off-screen troubles, but that wasn't the case at all."I don't know if people thought he might bring the porn stars onto the set of the show or what," he said.
Later in the show, he asked guest Jamie Foxx his thoughts on Sheen's recent activities that led to his current at-home rehab stint.
"Couple of hookers and some cocaine?" Foxx asked. "Come on, that's Wednesday for me. No, I'm just kidding." He then started rubbing his nose conspicuously until the audience started laughing.

Foxx is in preparations for a role as a woman, and Leno asked him if he was planning to shave or wax his legs."I'm gonna let it hang out," he said. But he quickly had to explain himself. "Not like that. I'm saying I'm gonna let the hair grow."
That got them onto the topic of Mo'Nique's hairy legs, which she's been showcasing at various events. "That's sexy in the south," Foxx said. "Like to braid that up. Guy's just be at home braiding her leg. Baby, you so sexy."
We're not qualified to speak about what is or isn't considered sexy anywhere in the world, but braided leg hair? That's a new one on us.

Jamie Foxx Working on TV Mob Drama
by Scott Harris, posted Jun 23rd 2010 9:40AM
It's been nearly a decade now since actor/director/singer/comedian Jamie Foxx's last regular television gig, 'The Jamie Foxx Show,' went off the air, but now it looks like he may finally be making a triumphant return to the small screen. The venue? Why, it's a mob drama of course.Okay, so we know what you're thinking: what? According to Deadline, though, Foxx is in the process of polishing his producer byline by developing a project called 'Tommy's Little Girl,' which will focus on the relationship between an aging mob boss and his daughter.
It may not be the most obvious genre for Foxx, who made his name on television with the classic sketch comedy series 'In Living Color,' but as his career has shown, Foxx enjoys nothing more than pushing his creative boundaries and defying expectations. And 'Tommy's Little Girl' is no different: To pitch the series, Foxx is putting together a full-length trailer, financed by a private investor, which he plans to then use a calling card to drum up studio interest.
