Medium: Everything Comes To A Head (season finale)
by Brett Love, posted May 17th 2007 8:31AM
(S03E22) This has been something of a roller coaster week for Medium fans. There was the high of finding out that the show will be coming back for a fourth season. Unfortunately, that was followed by news that NBC is going to move the show to Sundays, waiting until the end of football to bring it back. That makes for an 8 month wait between now and our next visit with Allison. The big finale followed a similar path. We got all those answers we were looking for in the Recapitator case. The fates of Debra/PD and Walter Paxton were cleared up. The fallout from Allison being exposed started, and took a couple surprising turns. Unfortunately, the episode suffered from some iffy story telling and an abrupt ending.
Medium: Head Games
by Brett Love, posted May 3rd 2007 11:00AM
(S03E20) "Head Games" marks the beginning of the star studded, three part, season three finale. It was a good way to kick things off. There is a murder case for Devalos to prosecute, a new friend(?) for Allison, a new head doctor for Joe, visions that may or may not be correct, a new baby... just a lot going on. It's a good thing there are three parts to this. Seeing as how the episode opened with Walter Paxton (Jason Priestley), let's start there. The dream within a dream open was very good. The head in the pantry came as quite a surprise, and led to a great Joe moment. He was so calm and forgiving when he woke up in the dream, but so frustrated and fed up when he woke up for real.
Jason Priestley joins Lifetime pilot
by Anna Johns, posted Oct 24th 2006 2:37PM
Former Beverly Hills, 90210 heartthrob Jason Priestley will co-star in a new pilot being developed for the Lifetime network. It's called Side Order of Life and it centers around a character named Jenny who reevaluates her upcoming marriage and her job after learning that a close friend has cancer. Priestley will play her fiance, whose priorities are a little misguided. For example, when Jenny suggests postponing the wedding, her fiance's first concern is with getting the deposit back. Also cast in Side Order of Life are Marisa Coughlan, who plays the lead role of Jenny; Christopher Gartin, who has had guest-starring roles on various network programs; and Diana-Maria Riva, who is currently playing Matt Albie's assistant, Lilly, on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. No air date has been announced for Side Order of Life.
I freakin' forgot to watch Love Monkey last night
by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 26th 2006 12:16PM
I was bummed when the show was canceled so quickly by CBS,
and really happy when the show was picked up VH-1 (well, the episodes already in the can), so why did I forget to watch
it last night? I have to remember, it's on VH-1, Tuesdays at 9. VH-1, Tuesdays at 9. VH-1, Tuesdays at 9!Luckily, the networks repeat everything a lot now, and this episode (titled "The Window") will be repeated this Thursday at 11am. I'm going to set my DVR just in case. The Price Is Right is on at the same time.
Don't you hate it when you're looking forward to seeing something, but you get busy and it slips your mind and you miss it?
It's like '90210' all over again!
by Richard Keller, posted Apr 19th 2006 11:03AM
Maybe no one realized this yet. Or, maybe no one really cared.
During the 2005-06 television season, seven alumni of FOX's Beverly Hills, 90210 have appeared or
will appear in a regular series.
Do you doubt me? Do you think it isn't true? Do you think I have way too much time on my hands? Well, the last may be true, but that's not the point.
Click on, dear reader, for the proof that you seek.
Kid from Love Monkey has a new CD
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 22nd 2006 8:01AM
Teddy Geiger, also known as 'Wayne' on the
unfortunately-cancelled Love Monkey, has a new CD that is streaming on AOL Music. You remember Teddy, right? He was like John
Mayer, except without all the weird facial expressions. During one episode, he and Tom Cavanagh shot his video to the
song, "For You I Will", which is on his new album. I listened to it and it actually made me a little bit sad
because I liked Love Monkey and I wish it would return. Oh well. Hopefully it'll make a star out of this
kid.[Via EW]
Mid-season television preview
by Anna Johns, posted Jan 1st 2006 8:02PM
Now that 2005 is behind us, we can look forward to new and returning favorite shows all this month on television.
What will you be watching?South Beach (Wednesdays, UPN) Two hot, New York City working-class bachelors leave the big city behind to follow one of their girlfriends to South Beach, FL, only to discover that she has a new boyfriend. They get mixed up with the rich and famous in the club scene. After viewing a sneak preview on UPN's website, it looks like a guilty pleasure like The O.C., except with more sex and no high school. Jennifer Lopez is the executive producer and it co-stars Vanessa Williams as a club owner and mother to one of the main characters. South Beach premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 8 pm.
The Five: Shows I resolve to watch in 2006
by Anna Johns, posted Jan 1st 2006 11:20AM
There really isn't any hard and fast rule for the way that I came up with my list. There aren't a whole lot of new
shows coming out during the mid-season that I want to watch. I'm tired of law shows and there are way too many 'Single
in the City' sitcoms coming out (although I do include just one of them on my list). I may give Skating with Celebrities a chance out of morbid curiosity, but there's no way I'm
resolving to watch it. Here are the shows that I plan to watch faithfully in 2006:5. Veronica Mars If Joss Whedon says this is the "Best. Show. Ever." I believe him. I really missed the boat on this one and now that we're halfway through season two, I've got a lot of catching up to do. Most of that catching up with be done on DVD. And hopefully I can catch this season's reruns during the summer so I'll be ready for season three in the fall.
