Javier Colon Says He Had No Confidence He Would Win 'The Voice' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 1st 2011 6:00PM
Wednesday night, Javier Colon beat out favorite Dia Frampton to win the first season of 'The Voice.' Friday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Colon said he never thought it would happen. His doubts were understandable: the show had chronicled Colon's many missed chances in the music industry, and he talked with Matt Lauer about almost giving up music."It was getting to the point where I wasn't able to make a living, enough to raise my two beautiful girls and to support my wife," he said. "And I wasn't going to let that happen. So If I had to do something else, I was going to do something else."

The winner has been crowned and the confetti has been swept away, but for fans of 'The Voice' who weren't fortunate enough to be in the crowd for the finale last night, allow AOL TV to lift the curtain for you.
Not only did we have a plum spot from which to admire the back of Adam Levine's head during the taping (and to admire all of the artists' off-screen antics), we later hit the red carpet to talk to the coaches and the winner as they reflected on a triumphant first season.

Adam Levine Says He'd be 'Delighted' to Return for Season 2 of 'The Voice'
by Catherine Lawson, posted Jun 30th 2011 8:35AM
The dust has barely had time to settle after 'The Voice' champion was crowned before thoughts inevitably start turning to Season 2 of NBC's breakout hit show. The celebrity coaches -- Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton -- were a huge hit with the TV audience and helped propel the show to massive ratings.
But, given their own music careers, and the fact that they're not joining the finalists out on the road on 'The Voice' tour, can they be persuaded to return next year?
Speaking after last night's finale, Levine told 'The Hollywood Reporter' "That's the question that everyone's asking me. I'd hate to say for sure, but I think so. If they'll have me, I'd be delighted to be back."
!!!SPOILER ALERT!!! If you haven't watched 'The Voice' finale yet, and don't want to know who won, don't keep reading after the jump.

'The Voice' Finale: Who is the Singing Competition's First Winner? (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 30th 2011 12:13AM
'American Idol' revolutionized the singing competition in America ten years ago, and its first winner, Kelly Clarkson, went on to worldwide success and fame. This summer, 'The Voice' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) has arguably reinvented the concept by putting the focus on ... the voice. Will its winner go on to comparable success?
With top caliber coaches in Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera, the show was more about nurturing tomorrow's superstars than sitting distant and aloof in judgment of them. And after all was said and done it came down to 2 percent.

'The Voice' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC) continued blazing toward its finale next week at a breakneck pace. This week, we got the final four members of our Elite Eight, and got to hear them sing. Tomorrow, another hatchet job will send four of them home, leaving each Coach with only one contender for the finale.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
Before the Top 8 could sing, though, we needed to know who they were. And that meant getting the results of last week's battle between Teams Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine. As with the prior week, America's vote would save one contestant, while the Coach would save the other.
