(S05E13) "Am I awake? Is this place real? Are you real?" - Robert to Jim
Talk about being disoriented right from the start! Minutes in the episode, viewers and characters are thrown in a chaotic storyline thanks to a injured patient who isn't making any sense. Of course, things got more chaotic seconds before the opening credits, when Bruno Campos suddenly appeared as the main ghost of the week and threw more nonsense at Melinda and co.
I don't know about you, but I felt dizzy watching this week's episode! I even had to pause a few times and try to reassess the situation since clues where coming from left and right, and things weren't making much sense. Plus, the ending was thrown at us so fast that I had to rewind to ensure I understood the reasons behind the weird happenings!

(S05E12) "It's weirder than you think." - Melinda to NedOnce again this week, Ned gets involved with a girl who is haunted. You can't hold it against him since he can't see/hear ghosts to know if he is getting into a muddy situation or not, and the writers do have to find ways to keep Ned involved in most episodes since he is a regular character.
To my delight, and I'm sure a few other viewers, Steven Culp guest stars in the episode! I have been a fan since he first appeared on JAG as Special Agent Clayton Webb and have been missing him as Rex Van Der Kamp on Desperate Housewives since his character was killed off.
Was Melinda able to get both Ned and Steven Culp's character out of their muddy haunting? My two cents coming up!
Jennifer Love Hewitt Shocks George Lopez With 'Vagazzling' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Jan 13th 2010 5:07PM
Have you been "vagazzled"? Us neither, but it sounds, uh, interesting! On 'Lopez Tonight,' Jennifer Love Hewitt revealed that after a bad breakup, she "vagazzled" her "precious lady" and felt oh so much better. Near as we can tell, vagazzling involves affixing tiny jewels to the female nether region. (Or maybe it's "vajazzling"? Not sure of the spelling since it's not a real word.) George Lopez wondered the same thing we were wondering -- is it uncomfortable for the dude? "I've had no complaints," said the 'Ghost Whisperer' star. She added that she was vagazzled right then and there, which caused Lopez to ... well, watch the clip and you'll see.

(S05E11) "I'm upset because I thought him to be better than this." - Delia about NedPoor Delia got an unwanted reality check this week when she discovered the type of radio show Ned was hosting on the campus station and what he did behind his somewhat-official girlfriend's back!
While Delia tried to understand why Ned was drifting from her and doing things that were contrary to what she had thought him, Melinda tried to find who the ghost of the week was and make sense of why he was attacking Ned, the radio station as well as people who took part of an old radio prank.
Review: Ghost Whisperer - Excessive Forces
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Dec 6th 2009 3:30PM
(S05E10) "He's a killer with a badge." - The ghost of the week to Melinda and EliBad cop or good cop? That was the question Melinda and company asked themselves while working on the case of the week, which involved a cop.
"Excessive Force" is an episode that fell flat for me. It's like the writers spent all their energy writing the November sweeps episodes and, now that sweeps are over, offered us a stand alone episode that didn't give us a tiny bit of character development.
Review: Ghost Whisperer - Lost In The Shadows

(S05E09) "I have a bad feeling about this one. A very bad feeling." - Melinda about the ghost in the closetMelinda's bad feeling was, pardon the pun, dead on. Very bad things happened in this November Sweeps episode: Aiden was put in danger, the dead girl from the closet was front and center, the Shadows came back full force and in a way we hadn't see yet, Bedford gave more warnings to Eli, as a hurting Carl the Watcher gave warnings to Melinda.

(S05E08) "How did you find this one?" - Det. Sam Blair to Melinda and Eli
Eli and Melinda quickly came up with a fake story as to why they often discover bodies or are around crime scenes. Detective Blair bought it this time but it wouldn't surprising if she decides to dig a little deeper to get real answers. After years of being around deceased, one would expect that the Grandview police would start investigating why Melinda, and now Eli, are involved in a lot of their cases, no?
While we wait for Det. Blair to start to investigate Melinda and Eli, we are treated to one of the wackiest and lightest episode of the season thanks to Greg Germann and Perrey Reeves guesting on the episode.
Neil Patrick Harris and Jennifer Love Hewitt Team for CBS Christmas Special
by Anna Dimond, posted Nov 9th 2009 5:19PM
This holiday season, TV viewers will get a fresh spin on an old classic when Neil Patrick Harris ('How I Met Met Your Mother') and Jennifer Love Hewitt ('Ghost Whisperer') team up to voice characters in CBS's animated Christmas special 'Yes, Virginia.''Virginia' is set in New York City in the late 1800s and based on the story of 8-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon, a little girl who loved Christmas -- until other kids told her that Santa Claus didn't exist. According to the century-old tale, Virginia wrote a letter regarding her worry to the editor of the Sun at her father's urging. The philosophical editorial written in response, "Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus," went down in history as one of the paper's most popular.
Harris and Love Hewitt will voice the roles of Virginia's parents, while Beatrice Miller ('Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs') will voice the part of Virginia, according to Entertainment Weekly. Alfred Molina ('An Education') will also lend his voice to the production.

(S05E07) "The answers are there, but you have to know when to look." - Carl the Watcher
Starting this week, TV Squad now offers regular reviews of CBS' Ghost Whisperer. What an episode to start reviews with! The first episode of November Sweeps offered us more backstory and mythology about the shadows, some of their powers, the book ... and Jennifer Love Hewitt in lingerie doing some pole dancing!
We were also treated to a case of the week that kept us guessing as to who was to blame for the death of now-ghost Tina and what secret Dr. Morgan and President Bedford were hiding.
Jennifer Love Hewitt's new comic book whispers in November
by John Scott Lewinski, posted Aug 28th 2009 6:03PM
Jennifer Love Hewitt is dead serious about her new gig as a comic book creator, and her first title is set for release in November.Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Music Box from IDW Publishing is a 10-issue anthology series involving a mysterious music box that causes strange occurrences for the people who possess it. It's not necessarily the most novel concept, as cursed objects passing from one person to another is as old as The Monkey's Paw. It's all in the execution.
And, Hewitt will have a role to play in that, too, as the issues will be co-written by Hewitt and veteran comic scribe Scott Lobdell. The first issue will showcase painted art by Michael Gaydos. Other issues will feature artists such as Casey Maloney (G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra), Adam Archer (Friday the 13th), and Joe Rubenstein.
Ghost Whisperer panel unveils new game, comic - Comic-Con Report
by John Scott Lewinski, posted Jul 26th 2009 8:00PM
When I looked at the panel schedule for Comic-Con International, I asked myself, "What's Ghost Whisperer doing on there? Really? Ghost Whisperer?"I have nothing against the show, and I guess it has supernatural elements that put it in enough of a genre category to qualify for Comic-Con treatment. But I thought it was just an uber-sensitive, feminine product.
Then again, when you consider how Twilight dominated this convention, "chick stuff" ruled the day. There's no reason why Ghost Whisperer can't have its moment, too.
So, creators took the chance to announce two product tie-ins coming for Whisperer fans.
Ghost Whisperer gets the video game treatment
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Jul 23rd 2009 8:04PM
Mid-June, fellow Squadder Danny wrote a list of ten TV shows that deserve to have their own video games. CBS's Ghost Whisperer didn't make Danny's cut. However, the show's premise would provide a good setting for a game. Imagine yourself in Melinda Gordon's shoes trying to help ghosts cross over by finding out who they are, why they won't cross over, and how to make them walk through the light. CBS and Legacy Interactive thought that it was about time to offer GW fans the chance to step into Melinda's shoes.
Ghost Whisperer: Five years later?
by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 9th 2009 8:51PM
It's worked for other shows; Desperate Housewives revitalized itself after a timely time jump. Now comes word that producers are considering a five year jump for Ghost Whisperer for this upcoming season. Said word comes from Ausiello over at EW, so it may just be a rumor that doesn't pan out, but I agree with Mandi over at PopWatch that it could be just the boost the show needs. Primarily because the idea of Melinda's extra-curricular activities jibing with juggling a newborn were looking awkward at best. She'd either look like a negligent parent by leaving the baby constantly to help one spirit or another, or she'd be carting said baby around, or they'd pull an Everybody Loves Raymond and just kind of ignore that the kids are around. Plus, as Mandi indicated, that gives us a chance of Melinda's baby being old enough to start doing some of those amazing things that he's supposed to be able to do. Plus, we can get flashbacks (Hi, Lost) of that gap to fill us in and we can delve knee-deep into the good vs. evil battle. Maybe they could even have the Winchester boys show up in a cameo.
Ghost Whisperer: The secret's out and other reactions to the show
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Mar 7th 2009 3:02PM
Last fall, most Ghost Whisperer's fans were shocked by Jim's death. Most of the people who commented on the various posts I wrote about the topic claimed they would never watch the series again even if actor David Conrad was sticking around. As I said back then, I was willing to give the show a chance and see where the writers were taking us with this Sam/Jim 2.0 storyline. So now that it's been a few months and especially in light of what happened in the March 6 episode, am I still willing to stick with the show? Are you?
On the 11th day of Festivus, TV gave to me...
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 13th 2008 6:30PM
... Eleven babes worth watchin'Oh sure, there may be 12 shows a stinkin', but there's still reason to tune in. See just like advertisers, show-runners and TV executives know that sex sells. And hot chicks sell. And hot chicks selling their sexuality sell like hotcakes ... or chicks ... I never can get that right. But just being hot and sexy isn't enough. To really sell it, they need to be as close to naked as legally allowed on the airwaves. We're talking "Oops, sorry to barge in on you standing there in your underwear bending over the bed pulling on your fishnet stockings. Nice rack."
Sometimes near-nudity, and even nudity, legitimately serves the plot. Let's face it, Anna Paquin had to bang that vampire on True Blood so she was going to have to get naked. It's a necessity. But Yvonne Strahovski on Chuck? Does she have to be in her underwear that often to protect the Intersect? Was it required by Simon Elder that Karen Darling be in her underwear in order to talk to him? Of course not. But it's hot and that's the way we like it. Hell, they made Catalina a stripper on My Name is Earl.
