Getting Stupid and Impulsive on 'The Good Guys' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 19th 2010 11:45PM
Working with an ex-lover can really suck. (And on a personal note: your humble TV Squad blogger has worked with his ex-girlfriend, and it truly ... really ... sucked.) The latest episode of 'The Good Guys' (Mon., 9PM ET on Fox) deals with this very lame dilemma.[Spoiler alert.]
Jack (Colin Hanks) is having some trouble with his ex-girlfriend Liz (played by Jenny Wade). The "trouble" is this: he's still in love with her, and she has a new boyfriend. So Jack decides to do something "stupid and impulsive." He rushes into Liz's office, grabs her in his arms, and plants a seemingly never-ending kiss on her lips.
No, Jack, no! Getting "stupid and impulsive" with a girl is always a bad way to go. Except for the approximately 5 percent of the time that it actually works out. So the question is this: will our young hero find new love with an old girlfriend?
TV Squad Ten: New supporting characters who helped make their series better
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Apr 1st 2009 2:03PM

Lead characters are extremely important for TV series, as they are the basis of the shows' storylines. However, to make said lead characters shine and make the storylines interesting, supporting characters must be introduced. Sometimes, those characters have a major impact on a series and even end up becoming leads. Just see how Ben Linus on Lost was set to appear in a few episodes, but ended up being so helpful to the storyline and loved (or hated) by the fans that he became an integral part of the series and is now a major player on the show.
That compelled me to make a list of new supporting characters who helped make their series better this season. Since my list only has 10 items and because I don't watch all current TV series, I will have missed tons of supporting characters, so feel free to add to the list by commenting below. However, note that I restricted my list to supporting characters that were introduced THIS season. So the Ben Linuses of the TV world are not on the list.
Reaper: The Sweet Science

The only way I can begin this review is... yay Reaper! The first two episodes this season were enjoyable and got me back into the Reaper spirit. Tonight's episode raised the game; the writers went beyond hitting their stride and hit it out of the park.
You think that's too strong a stance for this episode? Come, explore with me, if you will, the finer points of tonight's episode....
