Jerry Weintraub and Jane Morgan Explain Their Infamous Million-Dollar Cheat Deal (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 4th 2011 5:50PM
Hollywood producer Jerry Weintraub has put his personal life on full display lately while out promoting his new HBO documentary called 'His Way.' Weintraub and his wife, Jane Morgan, stopped by 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) to explain their the origin of their infamous "million-dollar deal," in which Morgan told her husband he could cheat, but that he'd have to pay her a million dollars each time he did."I didn't just call up Jane and say, 'Jane, can I go sleep with somebody and give you a million dollars?'" said Weintraub. "I'm not crazy." The first "cheat" was a woman who came on to Weintraub in his office, whom he then took home, ordering the guards at his mansion not to let Morgan in. That didn't work out, and she caught him in flagrante delicto.
Morgan wanted to know what Weintraub was doing at home in the middle of the day, and he said he was just resting, like a European might. Morgan didn't fall for it, forcing Weintraub to admit he had a woman at the house; thus, the "million-dollar deal" was born. It seems to have been a pretty nice deal for Morgan, though it probably won't work for most people.
Hollywood Legend Jerry Weintraub on Pranking George Clooney & Doing It 'His Way'

Jerry Weintraub's resume reads like a play-by-play of major moments in pop culture history. I had the pleasure of walking down memory lane with the fascinating Mr. Weintruab -- "Jerry, Jerry, call me Jerry!" -- to hear more about his many careers and reinventions. Before becoming a well-known Hollywood producer of films like 'Diner,' 'Karate Kid' and 'Oh, God!', Bronx native Weintraub got his start in music management for original Rat Packer Joey Bishop, the Four Seasons, and the songstress who eventually became his wife, Jane Morgan.
He then moved on to promote huge acts like Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Led Zeppelin, The Carpenters, John Denver and The King, Elvis Presley, which made him a millionaire at a very young age.
"The craziest was Led Zeppelin," says Weintraub. "Because they were crazy. That was the time though -- it was the '70s. Sex, drugs and rock n' roll, you know?" When I commented that it sounded like a hard life to keep up with, Weintraub barked, "Not really," followed by his signature full, throaty laugh.
Jerry Weintraub and Frank Sinatra Went to Houston to Not Get Their Hearts Checked (VIDEO)

Frank Sinatra had a way with the ladies. But according to Jerry Weintraub on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!), he had a way with the men as well. At least, he was able to convince Weintraub to do whatever he wanted. The man had charisma to spare. The pair of them went to Houston to get their heart checked by one of the pre-eminent heart specialists in the world. Only, the night before their examination, Sinatra had other ideas. The doctor said to go to bed at 8PM. No drinking, no eating, no carousing. Just sleep.
"At 8 o'clock, there was a knock on my door," Weintraub said. "I open the door and it was Frank Sinatra and he had a bottle of booze and two glasses."
Jerry Weintraub Has a Wife AND a Girlfriend -- Kimmel, Pitt, Clooney and Damon are Impressed (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 24th 2011 5:05AM
"I am in love with my wife. And I've been married to her for 50 years," said Jerry Weintraub, as the audience began to applaud. But Jimmy Kimmel held up his hand, warning the crowd to hold off on their kudos. "Give it a minute," Kimmel said.Yes, Jerry Weintraub -- producer of such films as Nashville, Diner, The Karate Kid and Ocean's 11 -- has indeed been married to his wife Jane Morgan for five decades now. But he's also been living with Susie Ekins, his girlfriend, for two decades.
According to Jerry, the two women get along fine -- they go out together, they cook together. But Jimmy Kimmel seemed skeptical. "Are you sure they're not planning to kill you?" he asked.
Regis Wants to Be Holly Robinson Peete's Special Friend (VIDEO)

Regis Philbin seems like a nice guy. Apparently, Holly Robinson Peete thinks so, too.Philbin, who will soon be retiring from his daytime talk gig, was on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) when the subject of producer Jerry Weintraub came up. Weintraub has a wife and four kids and has also lived with his girlfriend for several years.
Leah Remini was unimpressed with the relationship. She said she would never accept that sort of arrangement. When Philbin asked Remini if she would mind if her husband had a "friend" -- "It's just a friend," he said -- Remini said it would happen "over my dead body." That led Philbin to admit that if he found out his wife had a "friend," he'd "kill her and the friend."
As the interview was wrapping up, Remini said the whole panel loved Philbin, especially Peete, whom Remini said wished Philbin were her dad. "Holly wants me to be her dad?" he said. "I thought maybe she'd like me to be her friend -- along with her husband."
That Philbin is such an imp. Maybe we'll see him hanging out on the set of 'The Talk' after he retires.
