Snooki Hits Police Escort With Her Car on 'Jersey Shore' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 16th 2011 3:45AM
'Jersey Shore'It was all over the news this past May, but finally we got to see it for ourselves on 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV). After a night of drinking, partying and making out with Deena, a surprisingly sober Snooki was involved in a fender bender with a police car.

Reportedly, the two officers in the car were hired to escort Snooki through the city, but that plan got cut short when she slammed into them. The video edit made it look like a pretty good hit, as did the two officers getting taken to the hospital in stretchers.

You just know that police officer was stunned when Snooki's breathalyzer results came back negative. She was stone cold sober, though still in trouble as she didn't have any of her papers or her driver's license on her.

New Jersey Taxpayers Picking Up $420K 'Jersey Shore' Tab

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 15th 2011 11:35AM
New Jerseyans already have some conflicted feelings about the way MTV's hit reality show 'Jersey Shore' portrays their home state. Now that NJ taxpayers are footing some of the bill for their ridiculous exploits, the state may have a situation on its hands.

The AP reports that the New Jersey Economic Development Authority has approved state funding of $420,000 worth of production costs incurred during the show's 2009 season under a film tax credit program.

The decision is already sparking controversy. New Jersey governor Chris Christie, who has been a vocal critic of the show, is speaking out against the funding. "The Governor's opinions about 'Jersey Shore' and its New Yorker cast are well-known," Christie spokesman Michael Drewniak said in a statement to the New Jersey Star-Ledger. "They are phonies and the show is a false portrayal of New Jersey and our shore communities. He has also been clear about his belief that film tax credit programs are not the most effective way to spur economic growth throughout the State."

Sammi Says Her 'Great Connection' With Ronnie Is Too Boring for 'Jersey Shore' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Sep 13th 2011 3:30PM
Sammi Giancola of 'Jersey Shore' on 'Good Day New York'Apparently there is a lot of great, healthy, happy stuff happening on 'Jersey Shore,' but we never get to see it. Why? Because, according to Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola, it's boring. Giancola appeared on 'Good Day New York' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) to talk about the show and her on-again-off-again relationship with co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.

Giancola was asked point blank what the redeeming value of the show was. "It wouldn't be TV without the fights, you know, the anger, the drama, the sex, the alcohol," she said. "That makes TV these days, and it's sad because in Italy, you don't see us touring around and having an amazing experience with another country. Which I wish they would show, but it's kind of boring."

Christina Applegate Keeps Interrupting DJ Pauly D's Interview (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 13th 2011 3:36AM
Christina Applegate & DJ Pauly D, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Usually, when the first guest slides down to the couch on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) to make room for the next guest, they keep to themselves. They may occasionally chime in with some banter, but Pauly D wasn't prepared for Christina Applegate.

While Jay Leno was talking to the 'Jersey Shore' star about working an event for Kim Kardashian, he kept insinuating that Kim and Pauly had a relationship that went beyond professional.

"Now is that still going on with the new husband?" Leno asked, implying a sexual relationship.

"She's my friend. She's a really cool girl; the whole family," Pauly said, and then Applegate's voice could be heard abruptly saying, "Yeah, right."

Deena and Snooki Accidentally Fight Each Other on 'Jersey Shore' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 9th 2011 2:04AM
'Jersey Shore'Forget that battle between Mike and Ronnie on 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) last week. That was nothing compared to the epic throw-down that went down this week in the club. And besides, wasn't Mike vs. Ronnie really just Mike vs. The Wall, with Mike going down in the first round?

This time, though, it was on when someone threw a drink over Deena in the club. As Deena went off to "f****** knock that b**** out," Nicole decided to go back her girl up. Unfortunately, the club was dark and things got a little confused.

"I'm pulling this girl's hair and some girl's pulling my hair and then I realize it's my meatball, Deena," Snooki said later. That's right, Deena and Snooki were accidentally fighting each other.

Sammi 'Sweetheart' Doesn't Think Any of the 'Jersey Shore' Guys Are on Steroids (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 30th 2011 4:15PM
Sammi Giancola of 'Jersey Shore' on 'Good Day LA'Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola was understandably surprised when she found out how seriously her male friends in the 'Jersey Shore' cast take their "GTL" lifestyle. GTL, for the uninitiated, means "Gym, Tan Laundry." Giancola said on 'Good Day LA' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) that although the guys are jacked and appear to have serious anger issues, she doesn't think they're on steroids.

"Truthfully, when I first met them and I realized what they do, they GTL, literally every single day, and when they don't do it, they have like panic attacks," she said. "So I was like, oh my god, you guys literally go to the gym like all the time, every day? And that's what they love to do. They'll go like twice a day sometimes."

Pauly D wants his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on 'Early'Should reality stars get stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? According to a report on 'Early' (weekdays, 7AM on CBS), it's not going to happen. That may make Pauly D unhappy, but the people interviewed for the segment around the Walk seemed fine with it. And Ana Martinez, the Walk of Fame's publicist, sounds pretty adamant about it.

Somebody asked the question on the Walk of Fame's Facebook page, and were told "Hell to the no." 'Early' reported that people noticed the response, including reality stars. "The criteria for getting a star is longevity in the field of entertainment, of five years or more, awards - Emmys, Oscars, Grammys," said Martinez. "Philanthropic work that they do."

'Jersey Shore': The Situation vs. Ronnie Battle Begins! (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 26th 2011 1:29AM
'Jersey Shore'MTV is airing a special episode of 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) this Sunday before the VMAs, which will put a bow on the Situation vs. Ronnie throwdown we've been waiting for all season. After watching it begin this week, we're scared to see the destruction the fight will leave in its wake.

Remember last week, when Sammi and Ronnie decided to be an item again? Did you see disaster written all over that, because we sure did. And it didn't take that long for things to escalate either. Sammi's crazy jealousy reared its ugly head when she saw Ronnie too close to another woman at a club.

Then, it was time to fight and reconcile and fight, et al. But Sammi decided to pull Mike into it, after he tried to remind them they loved each other. See, say something nice, and this is what you get.
