Arianna Huffington Responds to Jimmy Kimmel's Butt-Squeezing Allegation

by Alex Moaba, posted Mar 1st 2011 2:40PM
Last night, Jimmy Kimmel told Bill Maher a story from his days of co-hosting 'Win Ben Stein's Money,' in which he alleged that Arianna Huffington, after being eliminated from the show, spent the rest of the taping repeatedly squeezing his ass from behind the podium. He went on to call Huffington "crazy" several times, making her the butt of his joke as Bill Maher cringed that his friend's good name was being soiled.

Needless to say, we were intrigued and amused by this shocking revelation. So we reached out to Ms. Huffington, the soon-to-be editor-in-chief of all of AOL's content properties, TV Squad included, for a comment. Her response was, well, adorable:

"I certainly don't remember squeezing Jimmy Kimmel's tush on the set of 'Win Ben Stein's Money,' but if I did, it was probably because my buzzer was broken."

Now, we had previously heard that Arianna's management style involves lots of cookies and sweaters. After this report, we're fairly confident she will light a fire under our asses. Ahem ... give us a swift kick in the rear, we mean. OK, we'll stop now.

Cameron Diaz Tells Jimmy Kimmel, 'I Love Porn!' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 23rd 2011 3:59AM
Cameron Diaz, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'If you're worried about what kinds of questions you might get on a talk show, do what Cameron Diaz did on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC). Just say, "I love porn!"

"I'm gonna get rid of the other questions," Jimmy Kimmel said. "Let's just focus on that."

Diaz did seem to know what she was talking about as she applauded the hotel industry for their discretion when it comes to watching pornography while traveling. "I love that they always give you that little thing at the bottom: 'Your room will be charged the same as any other room. No titles will be used'."

Jimmy Kimmel and Jason Sudeikis Tease Rookie All-Star Blake Griffin for Being a Clipper (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 18th 2011 3:48AM
Jason Sudeikis, Blake Griffin, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Blake Griffin is having an amazing rookie season in the NBA. After losing last year to an injury, he's come out and is setting rookie records that have stood for more than a decade and was named to the NBA All-Star Game as a Western Conference reserve.

But that's not what Jimmy Kimmel wanted to talk about on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).

His focus was on the fact that Griffin plays for the beleagured Los Angeles Clippers.

"Would you rather be on the Lakers?" he asked him. Griffin was clearly nervous and uncomfortable at the constant badgering, so went for the safe route of staying mostly quiet.

The Year in Celebrity Impressions

by Jane Murphy, posted Dec 30th 2010 10:30AM
Anne HathawayWho doesn't love a good celebrity impression -- and who doesn't cringe at a bad one? In 2010, several impersonations went viral, generating chuckles and awe. We had comedians' impressions getting healthy screen time, like Kevin Pollak, Jimmy Fallon, and the up-and-coming Jay Pharoah. And we also had actors busting out take-offs on fellow thespians -- yes, Anne Hathaway's savage rendering of Katie Holmes on 'Saturday Night Live' is on this list. It was a truly a vintage year for people being other people.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You can tell Jay Pharoah has great affection for the greats he mimics, like Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy. On the other hand, this year's rash of Jay Leno impressions were polished with bile.

Six Late-Night Talk Show Hosts: Winners and Losers

by Gary Susman, posted Dec 18th 2010 2:00PM
'I'm With Coco' PosterCountdown to Festivus on Dec. 23: On the sixth day of Festivus, TV gave us to ... six late-night talk show hosts battling.

Hard to remember, but at this time a year ago, David Letterman was facing one of the biggest crises of his career in the wake of his sex-and-blackmail scandal, Conan O'Brien was just settling into his job at 'The Tonight Show,' Jay Leno was tanking in primetime and Jimmy Fallon was still finding his voice as a late-late-night host.

The late night landscape has changed a bit since then.

It was clear a year ago that there was trouble on the horizon, but few (save, perhaps, for Andy Richter) anticipated the earthquake to come. Most of the cataclysm occurred in January, when NBC decided to bring Leno back to 11:35, and O'Brien decided to take a golden parachute after just seven months on the job rather than follow Leno at 12:05.

The aftershocks from that event, which continue to this day, affected not just the two of them, but also Letterman, Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Craig Ferguson. (Not to mention a supporting cast of millions, including network bigwigs, obstinate local stations, and angry fans nationwide.)

Miraculously, all six night owls are still working -- though maybe not for much longer. How did the rollercoaster year shake out for each of them? Let's see ...

PTC Slams Sexualization of Teen Girls, Justin Timberlake Says He'd Join the 'SNL' Cast and More

by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 16th 2010 1:30PM
'The Vampire Diaries'The Parents Television Council is stirring up controversy again -- this time it's targeting the sexualization of teen girls on TV.

According to a Los Angeles Times report, "The results from this report show Tinseltown's eagerness to not only objectify and fetishize young girls, but to sexualize them in such a way that real teens are led to believe their sole value comes from their sexuality," PTC President Tim Winter said in a statement.

Among the shows the PTC examined are 'Two and a Half Men,' 'The Vampire Diaries,' 'Glee' and 'The Big Bang Theory.'

Lindsay Lohan's Mom Wants on 'Dancing With the Stars,' Supercomputer to Face 'Jeopardy!' Champions and More

Dina LohanLindsay Lohan won't be on 'Dancing With the Stars' next season, but we could see another Lohan instead.

In an interview with RadarOnline, Lindsay's mom, Dina, said she was interested in appearing on the show even though her daughter turned it down, saying, "Lindsay actually told the woman at 'Dancing With the Stars' who made the offer that 'you need to take my mom!'"

No word on whether the producers listened to the suggestion, but since Dina's giving interviews about the conversation, we're betting they didn't.

Rachael Ray Talks About Sweating, Panting, and Looking Like an 'Oprah Stalker' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 14th 2010 4:03AM
Rachael Ray Talks About Sweating, Panting, and Looking Like an 'Oprah Stalker'There are lots of reasons to be excited about meeting Oprah Winfrey. After all -- she might give you a new car, or a vacation, or something else that's free that you randomly might find under your chair. But on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), Rachael Ray revealed that she got a little more stressed out than most.

Rachael was on a new taping of 'Oprah,' but she experienced a makeup and wardrobe mishap right before appearing on the show. The mishap led to her being way too dressed-up ... and to having Oprah-style hair "ringlets." "I come out, and I look like I'm an Oprah stalker!" she told Jimmy Kimmel. "I have the big ringlets, and the crazy clothes, and the skirt and the high heels!"

In reaction to the memory, Rachael suddenly started to pant ... doggy-style, which is also what she did when she met Oprah Winfrey.

John Krasinksi Dresses Up As Spider-Man, and Fights With a Bearded Batman (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 10th 2010 6:25AM
John Krasinksi Dresses Up As Spider-Man, and Fights With a Bearded BatmanAs you may have heard already, the superhero Spider-Man is generally considered to be a friendly neighborhood kind of guy. But this wasn't necessarily the case on the new 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).

Jimmy was supposed to have Ryan Seacrest as his guest, but Seacrest wasn't available, so Jimmy went looking for the next best thing: His pal John Krasinski. The two men are neighbors in Los Angeles, so the talk show host knew where to find Mr. Krasinski.

But wait. ... Where would you look for John Krasinski? If you said "he'd probably be hanging out on the streets and begging for loose change while dressed up in a Spider-Man costume," then you are correct! Granted, this was a little odd. But even more strangely, Jimmy's "friendly neighbor"' wasn't very friendly when he was wearing the red-and-blue outfit.

Jimmy Kimmel Confesses to Watching Helen Mirren Naked (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 9th 2010 6:40AM
Jimmy Kimmel Confesses to Watching Helen Mirren NakedOn the new 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), host Jimmy Kimmel welcomed 65-year-old actress Helen Mirren. And Jimmy had a confession for Ms. Mirren: He's seen her naked. (In a movie! He saw her naked in a movie.)

The topic came while up Helen was discussing her new film 'The Tempest,' which was shot in Hawaii. Jimmy asked Ms. Mirren if she had ever been to Hawaii before. It turned out that she had -- for her first major movie role, back when she was twenty-two years old. The film was a sexy drama where she played an artist's model.

Helen started describing one of the scenes: "And I'm swimming naked in the water ..." but Jimmy cut her off pretty quickly. A little too quickly, actually. "To be honest, I watched it online last night," he said. Then, the host added this: "Only the nude parts."

In Further Late Night Smooching News: Brian Austin Green Kisses Jimmy Kimmel (VIDEO)

In Further Late Night Smooching News: Brian Austin Green Kisses Jimmy KimmelLate night talk show guests seem to be getting a little overly lusty these days. Already tonight, we've seen Dame Helen Mirren kissing Jay Leno. But that was nothing. On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), we experienced some full-blown guy-on-guy making out ... as Brian Austin Green gave Jimmy Kimmel a very hearty smooch on the lips.

And unlike Helen Mirren, Mr. Green didn't dilly-dally or procrastinate. No, his mind was made up as soon as he walked onto the stage. Brian strode confidently up to Mr. Kimmel, grabbed his cheeks -- then planted a big wet kiss right on his face.

After this, there was some debate about whether the pair had ever kissed before. Brian says they did; Jimmy says they didn't. We never fully resolved the issue, though we did learn this -- according to Brian, Jimmy Kimmel is a very tender lover: "You're passionate; you're a soft kisser." Aw. How ... sweet.

Bill O'Reilly Responds to Jimmy Kimmel's O'Reilly-as-the-Grinch Clip (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Dec 3rd 2010 9:13PM
Earlier this week, Jimmy Kimmel ran a segment in which he replaced the Grinch's voice in the animated 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' with the audio from the recent 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8PM ET on Fox News) talking points memo that had O'Reilly calling for the execution of WikiLeakers.

"Finally tonight, Pinheads and Patriots, our pal Jimmy Kimmel used the Christmas season to make fun of me," O'Reilly said.

Then he played the clip in question:

"You know everything needs to freshen up from time to time, so we took out some of the tired old voice of the Grinch, and replaced it with audio of the very popular 'The O'Reilly Factor,' Kimmel explained."

After the clip played, O'Reilly left it up to to audience to decide if Kimmel was a pinhead or a patriot for mocking him. But it was pretty clear from the thoroughly entertained look on O'Reilly's face that the cable news king had concluded that he made a rather convincing Grinch.

James Franco Races (and Screams) for Oscar Glory on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 3rd 2010 4:50AM
James Franco Races (and Screams) for Oscar Glory on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'It's been announced that James Franco will be hosting this year's Oscars, along with Anne Hathaway. This is a little unexpected, but the two of them aren't the most unusual hosting picks. Plus, Mr. Franco has been doing a lot of unexpected stuff lately, from appearing on a soap opera, to writing a book of short stories, to starring in a movie where he's trapped under a rock for a very, very long time.

In addition, James seems really excited about this whole thing! So excited, in fact, that he can't contain his enthusiasm on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC). While talking with Jimmy Kimmel, James requests a favor. Jimmy's studio is right across the street from the Kodak Theatre, where the Oscars will be held. So Franco asks if he can just step away from the interview desk for a second.

Then, James suddenly breaks into a jog. But wait -- what's this? He's headed the wrong way! The theatre is in the other direction! Still, he is showing a lot of ... enthusiasm. We can't find fault with him there.
