Animal Planet Gives Mike Tyson His Own Pigeon Racing Show
by Danny Gallagher, posted Mar 16th 2010 7:18PM
I'm tempted to make fun of this because you never hear the words "Mike Tyson" and "pigeons" together in the same sentence. But then again, I really like the layout of my face and it would be a shame if someone like Tyson were to mess it up.
Animal Planet has announced that Tyson will have his own reality show in which he races his flock of trained pigeons against a series of professional competitors.
For those who aren't in the know, Tyson has had a lifelong obsession with training and caring for birds. In the video below, he takes Jimmy Kimmel's Uncle Frank on a tour of his bird sanctuary.

Mel Gibson is Jimmy Kimmel, but not vice versa
by Danny Gallagher, posted Jan 29th 2010 10:00AM
Sure when it comes to Hollywood's leading leading man and late night's smarmy frat boy, the two can't hold a candle to each other. But when Mel Gibson takes on the Jimmy Kimmel character, he transforms himself into a wild-eyed monster with a ravenous appetite for anything filling and an unrestrained consumer of mindless amusements, basic human urges and monkeys.
Gibson unveiled his portrayal of the ABC late night host in a new film coming soon to a theater near you. I'm hoping that Gary Sinise will be cast as Kimmel's wide eyebrowed sidekick, Adam Carolla.

Jimmy Kimmel Live also has a new host

Conan O'Brien isn't the only late night host with a bone to pick with Jay Leno. Or is that stick, as is "stick in Leno's eye until his chin deflates"?
Kimmel became the old/new Tonight Show host on his own show to announce that Kimmel will be stepping down so Leno can become the dictator-for-life of all of television's late night.

Norah Jones and Jimmy Kimmel rewrite a Christmas classic
by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 18th 2009 10:49PM
If you're anything like me (first of all, may God have mercy on your soul), you always scratch your head when you hear "The 12 Days of Christmas." Who the hell wants maids-a-milking outside of some bizarre hedonism cruise?
Thankfully, crooner Norah Jones and late night's Jimmy Kimmel have stepped in to give the classic song a desperately needed updating.

Remember the good times we had with (at) Michael Jackson('s expense)?
by Danny Gallagher, posted Jul 9th 2009 5:04PM

A lot of memories have surfaced of the good times that pop icon and musical genius Michael Jackson provided the world in the wake of his untimely and unfortunate death. However, an elephant in the room has wedged its wide butt in between the happy memories that range from "Billy Jean" to "Rockin' Robin," other than the eye-bleedingly bad Moonwalker movie.
Jackson's life outside of the recording studio and in the blood-soaked pages of the supermarket tabloids provided a lot of fodder for comedies and comedians that turned the man into a punchline just as fast as the radio waves turned him into a legend.
Jimmy Kimmel's take on Lost's enhanced episodes - VIDEO
by Erin Martell, posted Mar 30th 2008 11:24AM
There are many ways to get through a Lost hiatus: watch the DVDs, check out Lost fan blogs, or perfect your complicated time loop theories. Jimmy Kimmel decided to pass the time by poking fun at the show's underwhelming enhanced episodes. Kimmel rewrote one of the enhanced scenes from "The Beginning of the End," in which Hurley and Jack play Horse. His on-screen facts were only slightly more dumbed down than the original text, but were much funnier.
