by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 11th 2010 5:00PM
Napoleon DynamiteGet ready for all those obnoxious quotes from 2004 to make a resurgence: Fox has ordered a six-episode cartoon series of the inexplicably popular flick 'Napoleon Dynamite.'

According to the Live Feed, the original cast members -- including star Jon Heder -- will be lending their voices to the cartoon. 'Simpsons' veteran Mike Scully, along with Jared and Jerusha Hess, are writing and executive producing the project.

Fox has also ordered another teen-targeted cartoon, this one from 'Superbad' star Jonah Hill and 'Yes Man' writers Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul.

How Jonah Hill Angered Lakers Coach Phil Jackson (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Jun 18th 2010 6:14AM
Jonah Hill Angers Lakers Coach Phil JacksonJonah Hill, a die-hard L.A. Lakers fan, once pissed off team coach Phil Jackson (who just won his 11th NBA championship ring) in the middle of a game. On 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), Hill explained that it was all for a good cause -- comedy -- but he hasn't recovered from feeling like he let the team down.

For a 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' episode, he was asked to "switch chairs with [the actors], go to the two seats over for five minutes so [they] can shoot this bit [during the game]," said Hill.

That went smoothly, but switching back proved more difficult, and the coach himself lashed out. "It was like having your dad yell at you, because Phil's like my hero." And given that Jackson's been a little busy winning basketball games, Hill hasn't had to chance to apologize.

Jonah Hill's Embarrassing Moment with P. Diddy & Co. (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Jun 4th 2010 5:42AM
Jonah Hill's Bad Joke on 'Daily Show'Jonah Hill usually has great comedic timing. Usually. But, as he explained to Jon Stewart on 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM), cracking a horrible joke in an elevator became one of the most embarrassing moments of his life.

Hill and his friends found themselves in the same elevator as Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Jermaine Dupri and their friends. "Twenty people crammed into a tiny elevator," said Hill. "I'm gonna make a joke to break the ice."

What did Hill say that caused "a deafening silence"? Check out the video clip. "I've been in some uncomfortable moments -- as you can probably tell -- in my life. This by far and away trumps them all," said Hill.

'Saturday Night Live' Doesn't Think Gabourey Sidibe Is Too Fat

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 1st 2010 8:02PM
Gabourey SidibeIt's interesting that in E! Online's announcement about 'Precious' star Gabourey Sidibe being asked to host an upcoming episode of 'Saturday Night Live,' their writer referenced a couple of disrespectful quotes Howard Stern had made about Sidibe in early March. Stern makes a living by saying things that push the envelope of good taste, but these words seem to have resonated a bit more than usual.

"There's the most enormous, fat black chick I've ever seen," he said. "She is enormous. Everyone's pretending she's a part of show business and she's never going to be in another movie." He even took on Oprah Winfrey, who's certainly no stranger to weight struggles or lasting success. "Oprah's another liar, a filthy liar. She's telling an enormous woman the size of a planet that she's going to have a career."

Review: The Simpsons - Pranks and Greens

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 23rd 2009 1:15PM
The Simpsons: Pranks and Greens(S21E06) This was a pretty well-structured episode, in that it might even give Bart some hope and direction for his own life. Who knew that Skinner and Willie were once cool and beloved, and that Willie was the swim teacher for Springfield Elementary? Okay, as most of you know I've been out of touch with The Simpsons for years prior to this anniversary season, so if this was already revealed, it's new to me.

The bulk of the episode dealt with Bart learning that there was a prankster before him, and one who was even his superior. So of course, Bart seeks out this 19-year old malcontent to learn from the master and come back stronger and better than ever. Too bad, as Lisa is so quick to point out, they're both still losers.

Jonah Hill bringing new animated series to Fox

by Mike Moody, posted Oct 15th 2009 6:13PM
jonah hill complexJonah Hill will soon be stomping around Seth MacFarlane's territory. The comedian has signed on to co-write and contribute voice work to a new Fox animated series. The show will center on a rich seven-year-old kid who walks and talks like an adult and has trouble adapting to public school.

I'm looking forward to Hill's animated show, but I'm also a little wary. You'd think a show co-scripted by Hill would end up on a cable network. The young comedic actor has developed a reputation for his very blue comic rants and ad lib scenes in films like Knocked Up, Funny People and Superbad. It'll be interesting to see him hold his tongue for Fox and still deliver the laughs.

Johnny Depp would love to appear in the 21 Jump Street movie

by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 24th 2009 5:30PM
21 Jump St.The first bit of news is that there's actually going to be a 21 Jump Street movie. Jonah Hill is writing a big-screen adaptation of the 80s FOX drama where young-looking cops go undercover to bust bad guys. He wrote a cameo scene for Depp, and Depp thinks such a cameo would be "hilarious." Depp wouldn't be playing his 21 Jump Street character, he'll actually play Jack Sparrow, his character from Pirates of the Caribbean. That's the weird twist to the cameo.

Well, no. Though Hill hasn't said what role Depp would play. I can only assume that he'll be playing the same part as he did years ago, though who knows. He could be playing Johnny Depp playing Tom Hanson, one of those meta "TV-show-within-a-movie" things. Hill does say that the show's theme song will be in the movie.

If you forgot what that theme song sounded like, take a listen after the jump.

Watch the MTV Movie Awards skits online

by Mike Moody, posted May 11th 2009 7:07PM
mtv movie awards andy samberg bill hader will arnettSure, that awful Twilight move is probably gonna sweep the next MTV Movie Awards, but the show will be loaded with Hollywood stars and comedians. People like Denzel Washington, Cameron Diaz, Jonah Hill and Ryan Reynolds are slated to present awards on the show, which airs May 31. Andy Samberg will host.

I don't really care about who wins or about MTV's silly categories ("Best WTF Moment?" WTF?), but the Movie Awards are known for delivering pretty funny comedy shorts featuring some pretty funny people.

This year will be no different, and now you can watch some of the shorts online at MTV.com. That means you don't have to sit through twenty "thank you" speeches by the likes of Robert Pattinson to watch some funny skits featuring a few great comedians and famous faces.

New cast members, same old Reno 911! - VIDEO

by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 30th 2009 7:02PM
Reno 199! Season Six CastOne of my favorite things that Reno 911! does is to weave in guest stars with little or no fanfare, and to just let them mix it up with the cast. I smile every time I see Patton Oswalt as a role-playing geek running, in full chainmail, from Dangle & Co. Or Paul Rudd as a Lamaze coach. Or Cheryl Hines as trailer trash (there has been a lot of trailer trash).

It's never a big deal, it's never announced to promote the show. It's just people who are good at what they do goofing off and having a lot of fun, which is what the rest of the cast is doing anyway.

Looks like the new season, which premieres Wednesday at 10:30PM, will continue that tradition. Here's a bit with Jonah Hill, uncensored.
