Jordan's Ben and Izzy
A new cartoon created to promote tolerance between the East and West is being screened today in New York City. The cartoon, created by a Jordanian media firm and titled Ben and Izzy, will focus on an American child (Ben) and his Arab friend Izzy, both grandsons of archaeologists, who, along with a genie named Yasmine (voice by Lucy Liu), have "Indiana Jones" style adventures while trying to thwart an evil antiques dealer named Clutchford Wells. The cartoon will focus on their cultural differences, but more importantly their ability to work together as a team and find common ground. There does not appear to be an information so far as to whether the show will be picked up by American television or not, though it does feature some voices familiar to American cartoons, such as Kath Soucie and Mark Hamill.
More Jordan, please!
I realize this is probably the third Scrubs post
today (and the second with an exclamation point
in the title), but it's on my mind. While this season has been hilarious so far, I really miss Jordan (Christa Miller).
Where is she? She appeared on the right half of my television screen last night during the celebration party for Carla's
pregnancy, but that was it. Earlier this season, she played a comatose hangover that was pause-the-TiVo-for-laughs
hilarious. And her school girl uniform to impress the cute gynecologist was creepy-funny. But, for the past 3 weeks
she's been MIA. The last time she had a significant appearance was in the "My Buddy's Booty" episode on Feb.
28th, and even then it was a tiny part. I checked her IMDB profile
and she doesn't have anything else but Scrubs happening right now.I realize she's not a main character on the show, but I definitely miss her presence. The show just doesn't seem balanced without a bitchy, botox-injected woman around to torture everybody!
