Regis Philbin and Kimmel Chew Jordana Brewster's 5-Year Old Piece of Gum (VIDEO)
Five years ago, Jordana Brewster stuck a piece of gum on Jimmy Kimmel's desk, and then Kimmel and Regis Philbin proceeded to chew on it. That was weird enough, but Kimmel upped the ante with Philbin this week on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).For some reason, the show's producer kept that thrice-chewed wad of gum stuck to a piece of paper. "I dare you to try it again," Philbin said to Kimmel. "Go ahead."
So Kimmel did, marveling that it still had some flavor. He then passed it to Philbin, who chewed it a few times before giving it up. "Boy, that's hard," he said. "I just lost two teeth." Now, someone just needs to get in touch with Brewster to get it back to her and the circle of chewing will be complete.
'Dallas' Lives Again: TNT Orders New Series
"TNT has explored the possibility of an updated version of 'Dallas' for several years, but it wasn't until we read Cynthia Cidre's outstanding pilot script that we knew we had the foundation for a great new series," Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), said in a statement. "It is incredibly exciting to see both new and familiar characters in the hands of a dream cast under the guidance of the enormously talented Cidre and Mike Robin. We couldn't be more pleased with how 'Dallas' has come together."

The new series focuses on the children of the original Ewings -- J.R.'s son John Ross and Bobby and Pam's adopted son Christopher. Josh Henderson ('Desperate Housewives') plays John Ross, while Jesse Metcalfe stars as Christopher.
'Dallas' Reboot: Josh Henderson Signs Up, Plus Original Stars Hagman, Gray and Duffy
Maybe in the end it will all turn out to have been nothing but a weird dream, but for now it looks like it's time to dust off those sequinned shoulder pads and get ready for The Oil Barons' Ball: The much-hyped 'Dallas' reboot is a "Go."With new casting updates comes news that the rebooted 'Dallas' will contain some classic elements: Love triangles, betrayals, family clashes and, finally, Mr. J.R. Ewing himself.
According to deadline.com, 'Desperate Housewives' alum Josh Henderson has signed on to play J.R. and Su Ellen's son, John Ross. Producers say that the new drama will focus on the next generation of the Ewing dynasty as they squabble over power, money and women.
However, the old Southfork guard will still be scheming in the background: TNT has confirmed that the trio at the center of the original series, Larry Hagman (J.R.), Linda Gray (Su Ellen) and Patrick Duffy (Bobby) will all be returning.

Chuck: Chuck Versus the First Kill

(S02E20) Trust. Five little letters that represent so, so much. For Chuck, trust has been key to his agreeing to be the American government's good little intersect. He's gone along with all the dangerous assignments, put his life on the line, lied to his friends and family, and every step of the way, he's trusted that Casey and Sarah and the General are working for the country's best interest, and by extension, his best interest.
After convincing the General that the only way to keep Fulcrum from getting their own intersect, the one not in Chuck's head, was to steal back Orion before he succeeds in building another unit. The fact that Orion was also Steve Bartowski -- Chuck's primary objective, i.e. "get back dad" -- was evident. However, for appearances, he let the team believe that he believed saving the interset was the most important thing.
Chuck: Chuck Versus the Ex
(S02E06) "I'm putting my foot down...gingerly." -- ChuckI'm now officially worried about Chuck Bartowski. It wasn't the injection of poison to create the antidote to the chemical agent in the hotel conference room that frightened me this week, or the previous episodes when he faced nefarious gunmen with evil intent. The fear is emotional. The return of Jill Roberts should be signaling DefCon 4.
This was one of my favorite Chuck episodes thus far this season. It's the way all the parts fell together. There was great balance between the character development and the action, as well as the funny stuff and the serious scenes. Also, I can't help but notice that Chuck is getting a lot better at handling his CIA chores.
But I'm still worried. More about that after the jump.
Jordana Brewster to guest star on Chuck
It looks like the television show Chuck has scored another famous guest-star. Jordana Brewster will be appearing on the show for a minimum of three episodes in a pivotal role for the main character.Brewster will play Jill, the college girlfriend who broke Chuck's heart by sleeping with his best friend Bryce Larkin. Bryce later went on to send Chuck an e-mail that put a lot of sensitive data in his head which became the show's premise.
Is there still hope for Mr. and Mrs. Smith?
ABC decided not to pick up the pilot for Mr. and Mrs. Smith starring Jordana Brewster and Martin Henderson (based on the movie of the same name starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie).
That does not mean, however, that we'll never see it. Regency and Dutch Oven, the production companies behind the series, had an "early release" in its contract according to the Hollywood Reporter, and they plan to start shopping the series around to other networks.
Smith focuses on the lives of the titular couple six months after the movie ends. They're still married, and they they still assassinate people. Doug Liman, who directed the feature film, also directed the pilot.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith -- A look at the pilot script

ABC had garnered a fair amount of press over this one because of the obvious tie-in to the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie movie. The big news is that the creators of the movie are back for the TV show. Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Swingers) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand) have signed on to try and transform their movie to the small screen.

Jordana Brewster picked for Mr & Mrs Smith pilot
The lovely Jordana Brewster has been selected to star in the ABC adaptation of the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt movie Mr and Mrs Smith. The pilot will take place six months after the movie ends, with the married assassins being all romantic and stuff while still trekking across the globe and killing people for hire.
Brewster has been in demand this season for several other pilots. She was last seen on the movie screen in the films Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and The Fast and the Furious.
According to IMDb, Doug Liman, who also directed the 2005 film, will also direct the pilot episode. There's no word yet on who will play John Smith. In fact, it's not even absolutely clear if Brewster will be playing Jane Smith, though all reports seem to be making that assumption.
Thanks to Wild Bill for the tip.
