Jimmy Kimmel really enjoyed 'True Grit.' "Hailee Steinfeld is terrific in the movie. Jeff Bridges, unbelievable. Matt Damon was alright," he joked to their costar Josh Brolin on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).

Brolin went along, saying, "I understand why he didn't get nominated, but that's alright." He then recounted how he would mercilessly tease Damon as he got into character before each scene.

Josh Brolin insists on taking the wheel when driving with wife Diane Lane. "Unless he gets a speeding ticket," said Lane on 'Late Night' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC). "And then I come in, and scoot in for a moment, explain to the officer, we drive about a mile down the road," and they switch seats again.

That actually happened on road trip in the family RV. Her charms didn't work, though, as he still got the speeding ticket. "How do you speed in an RV?" asked Jimmy Fallon. "With effort," she admitted.

Fallon says his wife does the driving because he's a "second-generation bad" driver who's even worse when the GPS is thrown into the mix.

Josh Brolin brought up the million dollar question on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on NBC). If host Jimmy Fallon is so frightened of these creepy crawlers that animal handler Jeff Musial brings on the show, why does he keep having him back? "You have to look at your own thing," Brolin advised. "There's something a little twisted about you."

Fallon was evidently so shaken up by having an Emperor scorpion on his shoulder, that he needed to commiserate with later guest Brolin about his traumatic experience. It was as if Brolin was on hand to act as Fallon's therapist after Musial abused him with animals.

"One time he came, and it was a rattlesnake or something," Fallon told Brolin. "And he threw it at me. It was a fake rattlesnake, but still they should warn me."

Who knew Josh Brolin could be such a grifter? The actor appeared on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated) and told a story where he borrowed $60 from Donald Trump for a cab ride without ever intending to pay it back.

Josh Brolin and his brother grew up among wild animals -- and have the stitches and scars to prove it. His mother was an animal activist, who'd "take the animals away from people who had illegally taken them out of the wild [and] nurse them back to health," explained Brolin on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC). Then they'd rerelease them in the Mojave Desert.

"My brother had 60 stitches in his leg ... from cleaning the cages -- while the animals were still in the cages," said Brolin. "It was a wolf that nailed my brother, and I got nailed by a bobcat and a coyote."

Both Josh Brolin's mother and his wife Diane Lane have something in common -- the willingness to be spontaneous.

"[My mother] was from Corpus Christi, Texas, a great lady ... tough lady, very independent," said Brolin on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). "She would get us up in the middle of the night and she'd go, 'We're going to New Orleans.'"

Brolin then described another spontaneous trip, this time with Lane, during which he realized he wanted to marry her.

(S34E05) First of all: It felt like Josh Brolin wasn't really hosting the show, but just kind of hanging out until Mark Wahlberg and Sarah Palin got their business done. He did a fair job with what he was given, though. Secondly: Fartface. Why? Why would they do that? I'm glad NBC.com didn't post that video, because it was so bafflingly bad that everyone that was in the room with me, watching the episode, was reeling from the effects. Please note that I am someone who still laughs at "duty," so a sketch revolving around the word "fartface" should have killed me. Instead, it just left me a little confused and wondering what stuff ends up on the SNL writing room floor. Anyway, this was a big episode, so here are some video highlights:

Recently, we told you about James Brolin appearing in a guest role on Law & Order: SVU, as a man from Elliot's past. Now, there'll be even more development for Christopher Meloni's character when Ellen Burstyn shows up on SVU to play Stabler's mother.

Oh, and she's not your button-downed, upright all together mom. She's bipolar, which is to say that she has a serious psychological disorder.

TVGuide.com reported that it learned that Ms. Burstyn's guest role will be very dramatic -- "explosive" -- and is slated for one episode. Thinking about what's been happening on SVU, the major storyline for Elliot has been revolving around his wife Kathy having another child.

The baby has brought the Stablers back together after a separation. Could Elliot's mother be coming to New York to see her new grandchild and something else go wrong? Hmm...
