TV news news: Claman, a game show, and a new TV Newser

Lots of changes this week in the land of TV news:
- Liz Claman is leaving CNBC. She was going to renew her contract, but decided she wanted to go some place else. She has to wait 90 days, however, because of a non-compete clause in her contract. She's been with the financial network for almost 10 years. I remember Claman from her days on Channel 7 in Boston.
What did he say on FOX News?!
There's been a lot of coverage the past several days of the mountain climber tragedy on Mt. Hood in Oregon, and all of the cable networks have reporters reporting from the scene, either via video or via phone. FOX News correspondent Adam Housley is reporting by phone, and had an interesting conversation with the anchorman back in the studio.
If you take a look at the video and listen closely, when the anchorman asks Housley a question, it sounds like he says "you're f**ked" when referring to how dangerous the conditions are on Mt. Hood and how much trouble you would be in if you were a climber up there. I've played it several times, and even if you give him the benefit of the doubt and say maybe he actually said "you're right" or "you're fudge brownies," it still sounds like he's saying "you're f**ked."
The gigantic Maxim cover is real... but did Google Earth see it?
Yesterday, we told you about a publicity stunt that Maxim performed to celebrate its 100th issue. It involved a Nevada desert, a whole lot of mesh, and a gigantic picture of Eva Longoria. But it seems like, though the 75x100 foot cover exists, and may have been laid out in the desert and photographed, it wasn't actually picked up by Google Earth's satellite cameras. This article in Jossip breaks it down; it seems as if the picture was taken then overlayed on top of Google Earth's satellite picture, mainly because of timing issues (the Google shots are usually a number of days old).Oh, well. I still wanted to make jokes about it, though. I mean, how could I pass up an opportunity to make a cheap "Eva's mounds" crack?
(Also, reader tozmervo mentioned this on a comment under the original post. Sorry I didn't believe you, tozmervo!)
