The ladies of 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), discuss a recent paparazzi photo of John Travolta, in which the balding actor is seen lounging on a beach in Hawaii without his hairpiece."Why doesn't [Justin] Bieber donate his bangs to Travolta?" jokes Joy Behar, referring to the teen singer's recent haircut.
'The View' Panel Tries Really Hard to Grill Denise Richards on Charlie Sheen (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Feb 18th 2011 4:05PM
Charlie Sheen's latest problems with drugs and sex are well-chronicled by now, but remain a hot topic of conversation and the butt of many a joke. So it was no surprise when Denise Richards, Sheen's ex-wife and the mother of his two children, received a Sheen-related grilling while guest-hosting 'The View' (Weekdays, Syndicated on ABC).The hosts, led by Barbara Walters, seemed on a mission to get Richards to say something, anything, interesting about her troubled ex, but she didn't give them much. Does the latest trouble surprise her? "It doesn't," said Richards. "This is Charlie's lifestyle, he makes no bones about it."
Joy Behar Puzzled That John McCain Could Go Back To Vietnam But Not 'The View' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Feb 11th 2011 10:00AM
In a somewhat surreal scene for daytime talk fans, the entire panel from 'The View' appeared today on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (Weekdays, Syndicated). Oprah asked them if they had ever heard back from guest whom they had offended, and Whoopi Goldberg brought up Senator John McCain.Goldberg said that McCain felt offended by the panel when he was a guest during the 2008 presidential election season, and had indicated that he would not come back to the show. That, in turn, offended Joy Behar, who said they only told the truth about McCain ads that she alleged lied about then-Senator Obama. Barbara Walters tried to stop her from rehashing the conflict.
Behar then brought up the torture McCain suffered as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. "He went back to Vietnam and made peace with them, but he won't come on 'The View?'" she said.
Not all torture is physical.
Joy Behar Gets a Dance Party Intervention on 'The View' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Feb 9th 2011 6:30PM
Joy Behar admitted today on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) that she is uncomfortable dancing in public. Doesn't matter, as Sherri Shepherd mentioned, if the music is infectious."I just feel silly. You're looking at the audience ..." she said, launching into an awkward shimmy with a plastered-on smile. She eventually broke into a less-inhibited dance, snapping her fingers about her head, which drew cheers from the audience and encouragement from her co-hosts.
Whoopi Goldberg told Behar what she has to do: "You've got to turn yourself so you're looking at us and we can feed you. Goldberg, Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck then got up and tried to help Behar get in the spirit of things. She tried but wound up laughing, covering her face with her hands, saying, "I can't."
"And here you all thought that it was white men who couldn't jump," said Goldberg.

by Nick Zaino, posted Jan 19th 2011 1:35PM
Last week, Snooki and JWoww of 'Jersey Shore' released a YouTube video making fun of Joy Behar. Behar responded by taking her own shots at the pair on 'The View' (Weekdays, Syndicated on ABC). On Monday, though, Snooki went on 'The Wendy Williams Show' and apologized, saying, "Everyone took it too seriously so I took the video down," and that she was a big fan of 'The View' and Barbara Walters.Behar responded to the apology by saying it really wasn't necessary; she found the original video funny, and didn't take it too seriously. "I don't care if they make fun of me," she said. "I enjoyed that sketch that they did. That's the bottom line of it."
She did take another joking shot at the Jersey crew, saying, "I found the apology quite sobering, although maybe that's not the right word." Behar was also amused that Snooki was becoming enough of a media "player" that she has to watch what she does now. "This is called 'going Hollywood,'" Behar observed.
Teresa Scanlan, Miss Nebraska, Crowned Miss America 2011
by Michael Maloney, posted Jan 16th 2011 4:30AM
The Miss America pageant has been around for 90 years, but a Miss Nebraska had never won the title -- until last night when Teresa Scanlan was announced Miss America 2011.At 17, Scanlan is also the youngest Miss America since Margaret Gorman, the pageant's first winner, won at the age of 16 way back in 1921.
Scanlan showed her confidence early on in the program. She predicted that she'd win the top prize in a short pre-taped video that was shown after she was announced as the second semi-finalist.
"I'm going to be the next Miss America because I know I can make a difference and change lives and the next Miss America needs to be able to inspire and restore hope," Scanlan said.
Joy Behar Responds To Snooki's YouTube Slam on 'The View' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jan 12th 2011 5:00PM
Joy Behar has never hidden her disdain for the 'Jersey Shore' and its cast, objecting to its depiction of Italian Americans and hedonistic silliness. Earlier this week, a video of Snooki and JWoww making fun of Behar made the rounds on YouTube. In the video, Snooki debuted a mediocre impression of Behar, saying, "I own everything in the world" and explaining Behar's dislike of the 'Jersey Shore' cast by saying, "These people ruined my life in high school, and that is why I love to talk [trash] about them."
Today on 'The View' (Weekdays, Syndicated on ABC), Behar responded to the video and threw a few zingers of her own. "I didn't know that they allowed cameras into AA meetings," she said, drawing big laughs from her co-hosts and the studio audience. Joy then said she was surprised that she was a big enough celebrity for Snooki and company to take on. Which might be overestimating Snooki's standards for taking things on.

Take a tour through the past year of TV and relive some of the best moments the medium had to offer in our 10 Most Viewed Videos of the Year. We'd all do well to study these fan favorites and commit them to long-term memory. After all, someday our grandchildren might ask where we were when Terry Bradshaw sprang from a cake, when Helen Mirren showed up in a red bikini or when Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg walked off their own set. Okay, maybe not. But it's nice to dream.Bill O'Reilly Isn't Thrilled to be Starring In Joy Behar's Holiday Card (VIDEO)
by Jeremy Taylor, posted Dec 21st 2010 6:20PM
Perhaps Joy Behar's most famous moment of 2010 was storming off the set of her show, 'The View,' after a heated debate with Bill O'Reilly about the Ground Square Mosque.Behar referenced the incident on her annual holiday card, which this year featured a Photoshoped image of her and O'Reilly locked in a warm embrace. O'Reilly presented the card to viewers of 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8PM ET on Fox News,) prefacing it by saying that Behar was "trying to get a little publicity by mocking me," and, of course, making reference to Behar's use of "Holiday" rather than "Christmas."
"I would never wear a shirt like that," O'Reilly said about the card. "Look at the tattoo on Behar. Anyway, that is what Behar is doing. Is she a pinhead or a patriot? I think we know how this is going to come out."
You never know. Maybe O'Reilly's viewers will be overcome by the spirit of the season and render the more charitable judgment on Behar. We could call it a holiday miracle.

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 10th 2010 4:23AM
Having people leave the room while you're talking is generally considered to be a bad thing. But Bill O'Reilly always tries to look on the bright side. Two months ago, back in October, O'Reilly got into an infamous yelling match during a live filming of 'The View,' which culminated in co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walking away in protest. On 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), David Letterman had this question for O'Reilly: "What the hell happened over there on 'The View'? What was going on?"
Bill said he knew Behar didn't like him, and that Whoopi's opinion of him varied. He added that he was just trying to "sell a book" during his time on the show. And he found a positive aspect to the fiasco, joking that it was the "greatest thing ever." "You know what I was thinking? ... 'I hope they all leave! Then I'll take the whole show. I'll have 45 minutes of ABC airtime.'" Well, that's one way to sell a book.
Joy Behar Crowned New Miss America Judge on 'The View' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Dec 8th 2010 4:30PM
Miss America Caressa Cameron stopped by 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) to talk about the new pageant in January -- but she didn't come empty handed. No, Cameron came to announce 'View' co-host Joy Behar would be a judge in the next competition, plus she presented Behar with a crown of her very own. But, does judging Miss America conflict with Behar's feminist ideals?
"My daughter said to me, 'You call yourself a feminist judging Miss America contest?" Behar said. "I said, 'Is it a beauty contest?' Because I thought maybe it was a job in Washington at first."
Cameron was quick to correct Behar on calling the competition a "beauty contest," but that didn't stop Behar from making this quick quip: "I will be looking for the one girl who has cellulite, I'm just warning you."
