'Million Dollar Money Drop' Wrong Answer Was Actually Correct, MTV to Air Abortion Special and More

by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 21st 2010 7:00PM
'Million Dollar Money Drop'Last night on Fox's 'Million Dollar Money Drop,' a couple bet on which product was sold in stores first: the Macintosh computer, the Sony Walkman or Post-It notes.

The pair was convinced the answer was Post-Its, but lost $800,000 when host Kevin Pollack told them their answer was incorrect -- it was the walkman. However, according to Gawker, their answer was right all along.

Though Post-It notes didn't go on sale nationally until 1980, they were sold in test markets as early as 1977. It's not clear whether Fox will correct the mistake.

Judge Jeanine Pirro Tackles a Foster Child Scam (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted May 27th 2010 8:40PM
Judge Jeanine Pirro Tackles a Foster Child ScamOur current adoption and foster care system can often be easily abused. Unscrupulous "parents" can adopt children for the sake of a paycheck from the government, then spend most of that money on themselves. On 'Judge Jeanine Pirro' (weekdays, syndicated), the judge encounters a pair of such foster parents. Judge Pirro is not pleased -- at all.

The plaintiff and the defendant -- who are cousins-- tried to use foster care money to pay their rent, and are now suing each other. Judge Pirro has no time for either of them. "Shame on you! Shame on you!" she says. "... There is a special place in hell reserved for people who use children to raise money." It's hard to argue with that, and neither of the cousins can really say much in their own defense.

Now we might have Nancy Grace yelling at us in the daytime too

by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 6th 2009 5:02PM
Nancy GraceDo you think we need another court show? What if I told you that this new court show was going to be hosted by Nancy Grace.

Yup, Grace is planning to star in her own daily syndicated court show next year. And it has actually gone past just a "talks" stage because Grace has reportedly filmed a presentation to show CBS Television Distribution. The name of the show (right now anyway, this could change) is Swift Justice with Nancy Grace. I guess The Biggest Loser was already taken.

Former NY DA to get her own TV show

by Brad Trechak, posted May 5th 2008 7:29PM
Jeanine PirroFormer NY District Attorney Jeanine Pirro will be getting her own television show on the CW network. Judge Jeanine Pirro will be broadcast weekday afternoons starting September 22nd.

Pirro, 56, has already had television experience as a legal commentator. Before that, she was a Westchester County judge and a rising star in New York's Republican Party. She was once seen in People magazine's "most beautiful" issue.

Pirro has had a history of interesting problems that have held her back in one way or another. When she challenged Hillary Clinton for the Senate, she lost a page of her announcement and was speechless for 32 seconds. There are also the issues she's had with her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Albert Pirro (who has been hit with both a paternity suit and a tax fraud conviction).

Daytime television judges have been around since Judge Wapner and The People's Court. A few months ago, TV Squad judged nine of them. I guess we have one more to add to the mix.
