by Jean Bentley, posted Apr 15th 2011 6:00PM
With AMC's 4 for 5 track record in launching original series in recent years, it makes sense that the network is now trying its hand at reality TV.AMC announced today that it is developing two new reality shows, 'Inside the DHS' and 'The Pitch,' to launch in late 2011 and early 2012. Ahem -- since this is AMC, they're "docu-stories." Okay then.
The first, 'Inside the DHS,' is a behind-the-scenes look at the Department of Homeland Security that's scheduled to premiere later this year. The second, 'The Pitch,' follows real-life Mad Men working at an ad agency. That will debut early next year.

by Michael D. Ayers, posted Jan 16th 2010 10:00AM
British actress Julia Ormond has been quite active on the silver screen lately, appearing in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' 'Kit Kittredge: An American Girl' and the 2009 thriller 'Surveillance.' And she's slated for a three-episode stint on the upcoming second season of Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie.' But before that, she'll appear on the Lifetime Movie Network this Sunday (Jan. 17 at 8PM ET) as the lead role in 'The Wronged Man.' The story centers around Janet "Prissy" Gregory, (Ormond) a paralegal who worked for 22 years to overturn a wrongful conviction in Louisiana of Calvin Willis (Mahershalalhashbaz Ali).
Inside TV spoke with Ormond about channeling "Prissy and her upcoming role on 'Nurse Jackie.'
There might be hope for a Moonlight reunion on Three Rivers
by Mike Moody, posted May 28th 2009 12:24PM
The networks are in the process of recasting some of their new shows before the fall season starts. Some of the shows getting new cast members include ABC's The Forgotten, CBS' NCIS: Los Angeles, and Three Rivers, also from CBS.Don't worry Alex O'Loughlin fans. Three Rivers' hunky vamp turned transplant surgeon isn't going anywhere. But his lead co-star, Julia Ormond, has been shown the door. CBS has yet to announce who will replace Ormond on the show. If they're smart, the network will try to nab O'Loughlin's former Moonlight co-star, Sophia Myles, to replace Ormond.
Our coverage of Moonlight and our recent interview with O'Loughlin taught us a few things: There are tons of Moonlight fans out there. They love O'Loughlin, and they'll watch anything he does. O'Loughlin fans also love Sophia Myles. They couldn't get enough of Mick and Beth's season-long love story on Moonlight.
Chris O'Donnell stars on TNT's The Company with other super-hero grads
by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 3rd 2007 9:01PM
Chris O'Donnell's "Robin" was partnered with "Batmen" Val Kilmer and George Clooney in the movies - but he never battled crime alongside Michael Keaton, who brought the Dark Knight to the big screen in 1989, until the two were cast in The Company. The TNT six-hour, three-week mini-series (based on the book by Robert Littell about the early days of the CIA and the Cold War) debuts on Sunday, August 5 at 8 PM.
"Michael wasn't on that long," O'Donnell told TV Squad in a one-on-one interview in a TNT-hosted suite at the Beverly Hilton following a TCA panel for The Company last month. The actor actually shared more screen time with Company co-star Alfred Molina (aka Spider-Man 2's Doctor Octopus). "We all sat around together [at one point] thinking, 'It's two from the 'Justice League' and one [Spider-man] super villain!'"

by Brett Love, posted May 8th 2007 3:03PM

ABC had garnered a fair amount of press over this one because of the obvious tie-in to the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie movie. The big news is that the creators of the movie are back for the TV show. Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Swingers) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand) have signed on to try and transform their movie to the small screen.
