PTC Slams Sexualization of Teen Girls, Justin Timberlake Says He'd Join the 'SNL' Cast and More
by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 16th 2010 1:30PM
The Parents Television Council is stirring up controversy again -- this time it's targeting the sexualization of teen girls on TV. According to a Los Angeles Times report, "The results from this report show Tinseltown's eagerness to not only objectify and fetishize young girls, but to sexualize them in such a way that real teens are led to believe their sole value comes from their sexuality," PTC President Tim Winter said in a statement.
Among the shows the PTC examined are 'Two and a Half Men,' 'The Vampire Diaries,' 'Glee' and 'The Big Bang Theory.'

by Nick Zaino, posted Oct 1st 2010 3:40PM
Justin Timberlake seems comfortable in just about any setting, whether he's crooning to thousands of fans in an arena or dancing with a box on his junk on 'SNL.' But Sheri Shepherd of 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) managed the seemingly impossible by making Timberlake squirm.Shepherd was addressing Timberlake, noting that while his 'Social Network' co-stars Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield, who were sitting next to him, have done great work, Timberlake "can't walk down the street without some girl wanting to drop her panties."
In mock horror, Timberlake delivered his advice for Eisenberg and Garfield with perfect comic timing. "I would say my advice to anyone would be to not drop your panties."
Justin Timberlake, Jon Stewart Talk 'SportsCenter' and Facebook Status (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 1st 2010 6:30AM
Justin Timberlake is a loyal viewer of 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM). No, not really. He pretended to be, but he didn't fool Jon Stewart. "I don't get a lot of free time, ... [but when I do], first I'd probably be watching 'SportsCenter' but after that I'd watch 'The Daily Show,'" said Timberlake."Dude, they're totally on at the same time," said Stewart. "I watch 'SportsCenter' every night ... You basically just outed yourself like you don't even know where you are ... You could just be sitting here, and I could be like Charlie Rose to you," joked Stewart.
Feigning hurt feelings, the host added, "I'm going on Facebook right now, and I'm changing my status!" To which Timberlake said, "I'm not even sure what that means." Stewart replied, "I don't either!"

Justin Timberlake on Illegal File Sharing: "I Probably Would Have Done It." (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 27th 2010 12:46PM
It might not be enough to get a case of illegal file sharing thrown out of court, but at least you could go into it knowing that Justin Timberlake sympathizes with your situation. The musician/actor was on 'Good Morning America' (Weekdays, 7AM on ABC) to promote his new film latest film project 'The Social Network,' opening October 1, 2010.In the film, Timberlake ironically plays Sean Parker, a co-founder of the notorious file-sharing site Napster which came under fire from the recording industry for its distribution of illegal music files. When co-host Robin Roberts asked Timberlake if he thought the role ironic, the iconic pop star said, "I definitely saw a bit of irony in that."

As she kicked off her hosting duties of 'Saturday Night Live' (Sat., 11:30PM ET on NBC), Amy Poehler confessed to having stress dreams in the days when she was an 'SNL' staffer. Cast members past and present helpfully demonstrated with a dream sequence chock-full of celebrity cameos. 'Fashion's Night Out' Draws Justin Timberlake, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Halle Berry and Many More Celebs (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Sep 15th 2010 11:00AM
Everyone was on the streets for 'Fashion's Night Out 2010' (Tue., 10PM ET on CBS). Well, everyone except viewers at home, Neil Patrick Harris helpfully pointed out. For one evening, "New York City is one big runway," said Harris, and he offered plenty of celeb sitings and fashion footage for us couch potatoes. The fashion industry's open house took place across the world -- from Milan, Moscow and London to New York City, Seattle and Los Angeles. Halle Berry was one of many attendees. "I care about our economy, and a night like this sort of infuses some energy into our fashion industry," Berry said.
Other A-listers on the scene (and in this clip) included Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez (launching yet another fragrance), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, Naomi Campbell and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Justin Timberlake Goes Gay for Fox's 'Cleveland'

Justin Timberlake will make an appearance in 'Cleveland.' No, not one on TV Land with Betty White -- the pop star-turned-actor will lend his voice to Fox's animated 'The Cleveland Show.' According to MTV News, Timberlake will play two different characters on the show. He'll voice a gay character named Paul, the love interest of Terry (voiced by 'Saturday Night Live''s Jason Sudeikis), and a musical booger named -- what else -- Booger. (Yes, an actual booger owned by Cleveland's stepson Rallo).
'American Idol' on 'So You Think You Can Dance' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 28th 2010 11:50PM
We had an exciting live show tonight on 'So You Think You Can Dance' (Wed., 8PM ET on Fox). Due to the odd results of last week's show, not one, but two dancers were up for elimination on this week's episode. But that all paled next to judge Nigel Lythgoe's weird slip of the tongue.[Spoiler alert.]
Nigel may be returning as the executive producer on the upcoming season of 'American Idol.' And even after watching Lauren and Allyson's pretty stunning performance, he still seemed pretty distracted by the thought of that. When host Cat Deeley asked him for his reaction to Lauren's dance, Nigel seemed a little confused. He praised Lauren, and agreed that her routine was "powerful," but then said: "This is the first time we've ever seen [anything like] it on 'American Idol.'" Whoops! Wrong show, Nigel! Mr. Lythgoe then swiftly tried to recover.
By the way, rumor has it that if Nigel takes over as producer on 'Idol,' he will eliminate all of the current judges, and will replace them. Two of the possible replacements are -- Elton John and Justin Timberlake. What do you folks think? Does this sound like a good idea to you?
The NBA Playoffs Tip-Off with Timberlake and Foxx
by Allison Waldman, posted Apr 17th 2010 8:21PM
The post-season has arrived for the National Basketball Association. The NBA Playoffs are upon us, starting today on ABC and ESPN, and tomorrow night on TNT, and that means the networks are shifting into overdrive to present all the games, all the action, and -- especially -- all the stars to the viewing public. Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, Dwayne, Dirk, Rajon ... if you're a fan, you don't need the last names. That's how big the star power is for NBA elite players. It's perhaps even bigger than the NFL or any other major league. And that's one reason why the NBA is not the number one sport in America, but it is the number one marketed sport. That's a point illustrated in the new promo for the TNT broadcasts featuring music and movie stars Jamie Foxx and Justin Timberlake extolling the virtues of the NBA playoffs.
'Glee' Star Jessalyn Gilsig Talks Madonna, NPH, New Directions & More
by Maggie Furlong, posted Apr 13th 2010 9:00AM
Jessalyn Gilsig is known for playing the bad girl, the beeyotch, the woman you just don't want to mess with. Think about it: 'Nip/Tuck,' 'Heroes,' 'Friday Night Lights,' 'Boston Public' and now 'Glee.' But changes are in store for Terri Schuester -- looks like it's really truly over with the once conniving, hysterically pregnant Mrs. Schue and her better half, Will. She's seen the light and is supposedly turning over a new leaf ... and, most importantly, she'll finally get to join in the singing and dancing fun.
I caught up with Gilsig to talk dream guest stars, new relationships and all the juice on the much-anticipated final nine episodes of the season -- including the big Madonna episode and a Sue Sylvester moment she says will "go down in history."
Justin Timberlake Demands Excellence From Jimmy Fallon (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Apr 7th 2010 2:30PM
If you're going to appear in a sketch singing with Justin Timberlake, you'd better hit all your notes. Just ask Jimmy Fallon, who told the ladies of 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) that Timberlake demanded he harmonize well during a 'Saturday Night Live' bit parodying the Bee Gees. "We're about to do the bit ... and he goes, 'Hey, make sure you hit that harmony.' I go, 'Oh, yeah, no problem.' And he grabbed my wrist and he goes, 'Hey, I'm serious, man. Make sure you hit that harmony.' And I got scared. I felt like Lance Bass. I go, 'Hey, dude, we're dressed as the Bee Gees. Have fun.'" Fallon said.
