by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 13th 2010 1:30PM
Leighton MeesterCan 'Gossip Girl' go on without Blair? It may have to.

Leighton Meester is ready to leave The CW drama -- in two years. Meester told E! Online she's sticking around, well, "because we're under contract." But, does that mean the series will end when the contracts are up? "I don't know," Meester said, "but I think there's that old saying about wanting to go out on top."

Meester, who can be seen in the upcoming 'Country Strong,' said the show has been flexible with the stars and their movie projects.

The CW series peaked in ratings during its second season, sometimes bringing in more than 3.5 million viewers. Now in its fourth season, the series barely cracks 2.0 million viewers.

'Jersey Shore' Season 2 Ends with a Massive Fight (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 22nd 2010 8:45AM
Jenni Wouldn't it almost seem wrong if season 2 of 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) ended without a massive fight? On the final night in the Miami house, Nicole "Snooki" is forced to explain whether Pauly D really said Jenni "JWoww" was "fake." Apparently Mike "The Situation" had asked who in the house was fake, Jenni was mentioned, and Snooki thought a couple nods from Vinny and Pauly proved they agreed.

Pauly basically explodes. "His, like, veins were coming out of his, like, neck and head," says Sammi "Sweetheart".

"I didn't say words that came out of anybody's mouth," protests Snooki. Pauly says to Jenni, "You said that Snooki said that I said you were fake. Now she said that she never said that. I'm just trying to clear [beep] up."

A noble attempt. We're not really sure what happened there. Suffice to say, the altercation concludes with a "bros before hos" gesture between Mike and Pauly.

'Jersey Shore's' Snooki on Being Arrested -- and Being Compared to Lindsay LohanNicole "Snooki" Polizzi appeared on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), along with several of her 'Jersey Shore' castmates. While on the show, Snooki talked to Ellen about the latest trouble that she's gotten into: Her July arrest for disturbing the peace at a beach in Seaside Heights, New Jersey (of course). Snooki got drunk (also of course), stumbled around and cursed. She was then arrested and briefly thrown in jail.

This past Wednesday, Snooki was fined $500 and sentenced to community service for her crime. "I was a public nuisance," she admitted. " ... In what way?" Ellen asked. Oh, in so many ways. But let's just stick to the disturbing the peace thing for now, shall we?

Sammi and Jenni Fight on 'Jersey Shore'On 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV), Vinny says he keeps his mouth shut. And then he doesn't -- instead telling Jenni "JWoww" Farley that Angelina "Jolie" Pivarnick told a lie about her.

Jenni confronts Angelina and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, who says she "doesn't give a [beep]." Jenni says, "Did you grow some balls all of a sudden?" Sammi responds: "I don't fight because I'm mature, I'm classy!" and then proceeds to scream and shout at her.

Jenni yells back, "Why don't you like me -- because I came to you as a woman and told you about your man?" -- referring to the anonymous note that told Sammi about Ronnie's cheating ways. Jenni shoves Sammi's head. Arms start flailing, and Sammi throws a punch.
