Could 'X Factor' Judges Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland Swap Shows?
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 29th 2011 7:20AM
On this side of the pond, 'X Factor' judge Nicole Scherzinger has become known for her questionable song choices, rambling critiques and the ability to make every comment she gives to contestants somehow relate to her own career.Needless to say, there are some viewers who would be glad to see her gone from the judges' table.
According to British tabloid Now, they may soon get their wish, with rumors swirling that Simon Cowell is considering a job switch between Scherzinger and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland. Rowland joined the judging panel on the UK version of the show this season, but audiences have failed to connect with her the way they embraced the exiled Cheryl Cole.
Naked Bowling and Failed Romance on the Premiere of 'La La's Full Court Life' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 23rd 2011 6:00PM
First, La La Vazquez had her 'Full Court Wedding,' and now she has 'La La's Full Court Life' (Mondays, 9PM on VH1), giving us a peak into her day-to-day activities as the wife of NBA star Carmelo Anthony. That life includes naked bowling challenges, as Vazquez and Anthony made a bet -- boys against the girls in bowling. The loser got to pick one person to do a naked run outside. The co-ed naked bowling challenge was the backdrop for one of the boys, Arron Afflalo, trying to find out if one of the girls, Kelly Rowland, liked him. As in 7th grade, "liked" him liked him. Anthony played it up by writing Rowland a note, supposedly from Afflalo, asking if she did indeed like him. Good news, she does. Bad news, as a friend.
Cee Lo Green Says He Was Raised To Be Sexy on 'Talking To Strangers' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 29th 2011 5:15PM
It's an age old argument that has bedeviled sociologists for years -- is sexiness learned through nature or nurture? Cee Lo Green, the self-described "Ladykiller," put in his two cents Wednesday on 'Talking to Strangers' (Wednesday, 11PM on FUSE). Green told Kelly Rowland about how he was raised to be sexy."My mama, she was a trip, she wanted me to be sexy," he said, drawing out the word for emphasis. "My mama got me some bikini drawers." Green said his mother bought him several pairs of bikini underwear at a women's "pleasure party." "She brought me back a g-string with the little elephant tusk in it, the see-through elephant tusk with the little shaky eyes."
Kelly Rowland Guest Stars as a DJ Impressed With Reed on 'Single Ladies' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 26th 2011 1:36AM
April's efforts on Reed's behalf paid off for him in perhaps unexpected ways. Certainly more than April intended, as Kelly Rowland made a guest appearance on 'Single Ladies' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1) as a local DJ.April did a great job of getting Reed's CD into her hands, but when Reed himself showed up, Rowland's character, Denise, was more interested in getting him into her hands.
Poor April tried to hang on to the moment as long as she could, lingering through the heavy flirting, and Denise deciding that Reed's CD needed to be heard on a better sound system. The kind of sound system her Mercedes had.
Cheryl Cole Loses Seat on 'X Factor' U.K. Judging Panel
by Catherine Lawson, posted May 31st 2011 5:30AM
The news just keeps on getting worse for Cheryl Cole. After being summarily axed from the U.S. version of 'The X Factor' mid-auditions, it's now reported that she's also been dropped from the U.K. version.'The X Factor' U.K. producers announced the new judging lineup Monday night: Take That frontman Gary Barlow, former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland, lead singer of N-Dubz Tulisa Contostavlos, and surviving original judge, boyband impresario Louis Walsh.
Cole was a judge on 'The X Factor' U.K. before heading stateside, and British newspapers are reporting that she had been offered her old job back as an olive branch. However, after she and her manager, Black Eyed Pea will.i.am, reportedly refused to take phone calls from TV executives to discuss the option, the offer was withdrawn Sunday night.
Kelly Rowland Gets Hit in the Face With Dolphin Poop (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 20th 2010 8:40PM
Former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland appeared on 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM ET on BBC America). And there, she discussed an unfortunate incident involving dolphins -- and their poop.Rowland was on the show along with British comedian Bill Bailey. Mr. Bailey mentioned how he was told that swimming with dolphins was one of the "100 things to do before you die." But according to the comedian, swimming with dolphins isn't that much fun in real life, since the sea creatures don't actually seem to enjoy hanging out with humans that much.
Then, Kelly told an even worse story. Apparently, the one time that she tried to swim with dolphins, she got hit in the face ... with dolphin poop. She described it as looking like a white sheet of "paper." Wait? It was white? "Are you sure that was poop?" host Norton asked.
The Fashion Show: The Must Have (series premiere) - open thread

So, was The Fashion Show a worthy successor and/or replacement for Project Runway, or did it just scream "copycat" (or maybe "copycatwalk")? The first episode (video below or here) aired last night, with Isaac Mizrahi as host. Let us know what you thought about it.

So you lose a really popular show (Project Runway - moving to Lifetime). What's a network to do? Well, you just start a similar show! Bravo's The Fashion Show starts tonight at 10PM. This one is hosted by Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland. Each week the winner will have their dress sold in an online store, and the season winner will get their own clothing line. Now I just wonder if people will actually watch this or just consider it a pretender and go over to Lifetime when the next Project Runway premieres. Here's a preview.
Bravo launches The Fashion Show... which is kinda, sorta like Project Runway
by Allison Waldman, posted Apr 3rd 2009 3:00PM
When I heard about Bravo's new reality program, The Fashion Show, a few phrases came to mind: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" was one. "Don't get mad, get even" was another. Then there was "Anything you can do, I can do better." Yes, it seems that The Fashion Show is a show that was conceived as a replacement for Project Runway, the Bravo hit series that has run off to Lifetime.
