Six Series Spin-Offs I'd See in a Second
by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 28th 2010 12:02PM

With the season coming to a close, the networks are starting to look toward next season. In the case of 'Criminal Minds,' that includes exploring the possibility of a spin-off series. They ran an embedded pilot for it earlier this season, introducing the new cast, and they've already had tremendous success with both 'NCIS' and 'CSI' spin-offs. But whatever happened to the old-school way of creating spin-offs?
'Frasier' was a long-time cast member on 'Cheers' before he headed off to Seattle and sitcom super-stardom. 'The Jeffersons' spent time living next to the Bunkers ('All in the Family') before moving on up. Even as recently as 'Friends,' they spun series co-star 'Joey' off into his own series -- maybe that's when it all went so wrong.
What You Missed Last Night: Jack McBrayer on The Tonight Show

There isn't a new 30 Rock tomorrow night (there is a new Jay Leno Show however - sigh), but that doesn't mean we can't get our fix of Kenneth Parcell quirkiness this week. Jack McBrayer was on The Tonight Show last night. First clip is below and the other two clips are after the jump.
Merry Christmas from Kenneth the Page - VIDEO
by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 22nd 2008 3:03PM
The web has really opened the doors to the possibilities for what the networks can do. Some haven't done that much, and even the ones that do took a long time to actually harness the power of the web (and if I ever use the phrase "harness the power of the web" again you can punch me in the groin). I like it when cast members of the shows do something online that's in character but isn't just a promotion for the show.Case in point, this video from NBC. It shows 30 Rock's Kenneth the Page in a Santa hat all excited about Christmas (and the anniversary of the "Parcell Massacre"), dancing around the 30 Rock hallways with a chair. If you're not in the Christmas mood already, this might put you over the top. McBrayer is great because he seems to be up for anything, including being knocked over by Conan O'Brien.
I'd rather watch video sketches like this than those special "webisodes" that some shows have now. More please!
