by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 7th 2011 5:00AM
Gary Oldman, 'Chelsea Lately'Chelsea Handler suggested that Gary Oldman's kids might be more impressed with his video game work than with his filmography on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!). Probably most younger people have spent far more time with his voice as Viktor Reznov in 'The Call of Duty' games than they ever have watching his movies.

In describing the experience of recording for the games, Oldman said it was very loud. "You go into a booth and you scream your lungs out," he said. "You can only do it in five minute bursts because you have to go take a Tylenol."

Kiefer Sutherland is a Security Guard With a Secret Past on 'The Simpsons' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 26th 2011 2:30AM
'The Simspons' season premiere - 'The Falcon and the D'ohmanKiefer Sutherland lent his voice to 'The Simpsons' (Sun., 8PM ET on FOX) as a character reminiscent of his Jack Bauer days. Wayne is the new security guard at the nuclear power plant, but he has flashbacks to a much more dangerous past.

One flashback revealed the special CIA training he received, complete with circus strongmen, ferocious animals, Chucky and Kobe Bryant! But, despite his harrowed past and his resistance to befriending people in Springfield, Homer gets under his skin.

And then Homer needs saving when Wayne's past literally comes to town -- though we're not sure how he found it considering Wayne chose Springfield because it isn't on any maps. It was a fun episode, and a fun character for Sutherland. We loved the Korean animation re-enactment, and we're happy to see Nedna going strong!

Kiefer Sutherland on Theater Acting: Someone Always (Literally) Dies (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 22nd 2011 8:10AM
Kiefer Sutherland Talks Broadway on 'Late Night'Kiefer Sutherland currently stars on Broadway with Jason Patric, Chris Noth, Brian Cox and Jim Gaffigan in a revival of 'That Championship Season'. For Gaffigan, it's the first time the comedian and TV/movie actor has done theater.

So Sutherland warned him of a particular reality Gaffigan had surely never encountered during his stand-up comedy routines.

"A lot of the matinee performances, a lot of older audiences go. Over a six-month period, if the audience is between 80 and 90 years old, it is not uncommon that someone would actually pass away in the course of your play," he explained on 'Late Night' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC).

On the first night, during a very quiet scene, the actors heard an audience member gasping for air. They halted the play, and someone shouted for a doctor. Gaffigan was shocked and said to Sutherland, "You're not kidding! First one out of the gate [and] you killed someone already."

Thankfully, no. A woman was choking on a piece of candy. "They got the candy out of her esophagus, and she was absolutely fine." But the incident made Gaffigan a true believer.

'24' Producer Howard Gordon on His Three New TV Series, First Novel and the '24' Movie

by Kim Potts, posted Feb 23rd 2011 3:00PM
Howard Gordon 24If '24' producer Howard Gordon isn't the hardest working man in show business these days, we don't want to see the schedule of the guy who is.

While finishing the final season of the hit Kiefer Sutherland drama last year, Gordon also penned his first novel, 'Gideon's War,' a fantastic political and military thriller that pits Gideon Davis, a pacifist negotiator (yes, the anti-Jack Bauer), against his brother, a special ops agent who's gone rogue and taken a multi-million dollar oil rig hostage.

On his current slate, Gordon is completing a Showtime drama pilot -- 'Homeland' -- starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, about a CIA officer (Danes), who suspects a Marine sergeant (Lewis) is planning a terrorist attack when he resurfaces after going missing in Iraq for several years.
