Kyle XY: Does Kyle Dream of Electric Fish
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Jul 17th 2007 4:19PM
(S02E06) An interesting episode title for an interesting episode. According to TV.com's Kyle XY guide, this week's title was inspired by a Philip K. Dick novel titled "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep," which was the inspiration for Bladerunner. Could there be similarities between the book and Kyle XY?In this week's episode, Kyle discovered a new power. Stephen starts work at Madacorp. Jessi begins to have a "normal" life... and gets a boyfriend. Josh realizes that Andy is great. Lori finally sees something through. And, most importantly, a friend is revealed to be ... a foe!
Kyle XY: Come to Your Senses

(S02E05) ABC never planned to air all Kyle XY episodes this summer. However, the network was supposed to air the five first episodes but decided to remove XY from this week's lineup. Fortunately, I had enlisted a friend's help so I would get my XY fix every week even though ABC stopped caring. Thanks to said friend for taping the series for me. This change in my viewing schedule means that starting next week, you should expect my reviews around Wednesdays. This week's episode finally had Jessi's world collide with Kyle's. I doubt that fans were surprised this week by the episode as most of us had already predicted part of what happened.
Kyle XY: Balancing Act

(S02E04) It was inevitable: Kyle would soon have problems juggling between family life and his secret superhuman one. This week's episode was all about that balancing act Kyle must perform. The episode didn't only allow Kyle to work on a new ability and save the say, but also provided Josh and Lori a time to shine. Sadly, "Balancing Act" was XX-less but that doesn't mean that her storyline didn't evolve.Kyle XY: The Prophet (season premiere)

(S02E01) When TV Squad asked us to list what we would watch over the summer, I struggled to find something else than reality TV as I don't get all the nifty cable channels. After seeing that ABC would air most, if not all, episodes of Kyle XY, I decided to give the show a shot as I heard only good things about it. In order to prepare myself for the Season 2 premiere, I bought the Season 1 DVD and had a little XY marathon. Of course, I got hooked and couldn't wait for the premiere to get answers, especially when, in one of the DVD extras, the people behind the show promised me tons of answers early in the season.
The people behind the show didn't lie to me.
