by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 5th 2011 2:30PM
U.S. Women's World Cup soccer goalie Hope Solo nearly got eliminated from 'Dancing With the Stars' last night after she was put in the bottom two with Kristin Cavallari. Solo ended up surviving, and went on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) to talk about the 'Dancing' experience and her upcoming nude photo spread in ESPN the Magazine's 'Body Issue.'

As for last night's 'Dancing,' Solo said she was shocked to be among the bottom two. "I was so nervous. Kristin and I ... it was unexpected. I was sad to see her go, you never know, they want to create drama on the show," she said. Solo added that she's been "getting battered" for having a muscular, athletic body that's not the norm for Hollywood women.

'Dancing With the Stars' Week 3 Elimination Shocks the Judges (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 5th 2011 12:00AM
'Dancing With the Stars' Week 3 ResultsAccording to Len Goodman on the 'Dancing With the Stars' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC) results show for this third week, "My expectations were that these two couples would be fighting for the final and maybe one of them going home with the mirrorball." He was talking about the two couples left standing in threat of elimination.

That said, though, neither of them had the highest scores on the previous night. However, they didn't have the lowest scores either. What they clearly lacked was a large enough fan base. Or maybe, as Tom Bergeron suggested, everyone just assumed they were safe.

Kristin Cavallari Shoots Down Rumors She's Dating 'DWTS' Partner Mark Ballas (VIDEO)

by Stephanie Opella, posted Sep 23rd 2011 6:15PM
Former 'The Hills' and 'Laguna Beach' reality star Kristin Cavallari has been paired with Mark Ballas on this season's 'Dancing With The Stars.' Both are newly single, and on 'Good Day LA' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) she addressed the rumors that the two were already dating.

Dorothy Lucey started the rapid-fire examination. "There are rumors about you and your partner ..." but before Cavallari could finish denying them, Jillian Reynolds jumped in. "He's with Pia, right?" she asked. Reynolds was referring to Pia Toscano, a contestant from last season's 'American Idol.' Cavallari wouldn't comment that, but definitively denied she and Ballas are dating. "Nothing is going on with the two of us," she said.

'DWTS' Backstage Report: Ron Artest Talks About Exiting, Will Chaz and Lacey Dance to a Cher Song?

by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 21st 2011 7:00AM
Tom Bergeron, Brooke Burke Charvet, Peta Murgatroyd, Ron ArtestIt bites having to leave 'Dancing With the Stars,' especially when you enjoy being there as much as Ron Artest did.

But the pro basketball player focused on the positive after host Tom Bergeron announced on last night's results show that Artest and pro partner Peta Murgatroyd would be the first couple to leave Season 13.

Artest is a lesson to us all in having to embrace a change that we might not be so thrilled about having to make.

The couple earned the lowest score on Monday's show and this was Murgatroyd's first year as a pro dancer so she's yet to build a fan base like veterans Derek Hough, Cheryl Burke and Mark Ballas have. That combination apparently proved to be the duo's undoing.

AOL TV was on the post-show press line to talk to Artest and Murgatroyd about their exit and to some of the remaining participants to get their thoughts on what they need to do to stay in the game.

Nancy Grace Explains How Michael Jackson Helped Her Say 'Yes' to 'Dancing With the Stars'

by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 30th 2011 7:00AM
'Dancing With the Stars' Season 13 cast

It remains to be seen who'll emerge as the front-runner on the 13th season of 'Dancing With the Stars,' which debuts Monday, Sept. 19 at 8PM ET on ABC. But, by early indications, contestant Nancy Grace is the one to beat on the press line.

The outspoken Grace didn't mince words as to why she came to L.A. to do the show. She's here anyway to cover the Michael Jackson murder case.

"I understand the defense attorney wants the jury sequestered from Nancy Grace," says the former prosecutor. "I can only say that his client is charged with standing by, talking on the phone to his girlfriend while the King of Pop, a music icon, lay on that bed and died ... I don't think it was altogether a bad thing that they asked the jury to be sequestered from me."

Grace is hoping that this trial sends a message that even rich celebrities accused of crimes deserve justice.

"Many people are still angry at Michael Jackson over the molestation charges. What many of them don't see is that Lady Justice is blind to the defendant and the victim. It doesn't matter what Jackson did or didn't do. It's a slippery slope to start judging victims."

How Blogs Changed TV: For Your Consideration, 'The Hills'

by Stephanie Earp, posted Jul 20th 2010 11:32PM

'The Hills' is over and for fans of the show, it's a time of sadness. A time when they feel they are saying good-bye to old friends, sort of like those bittersweet days before you go off on a fake trip to Europe. Of course, they'll see each other again -- on shows like 'The City', 'The Audrina Show' and the rumored Brody Jenner spin-off. But it's not the fans that interest me right now, it's the rest of us. Those of us who saw nary a one of the 102 episodes of the MTV show, and yet could easily pick a dozen of these kids out of a line-up.

Was 'The Hills' Real or Was It Fake? (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 14th 2010 6:15AM
Was 'The Hills' Real or Was It Fake?Since we were already talking about 'The Hills,' here's one more thing. After the series finale, stars Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner showed up to speak with the MTV hosts, where they discussed everything that took place on the reality show.

On 'The Hills Live: A Hollywood Ending' (Tue., 11PM ET on MTV), Kristin and Brody talked about the story behind the series. And while dishing out the real dirt, Brody seemed to admit that everything that happened on the show was fake.

Brody referred to the soon-to-be infamous ending of the series, where the camera pulled back and revealed him standing on a stage set, showing him surrounded by television equipment. He wouldn't even admit to whether he had actually had a relationship with Kristin.

Jenner said this: "As you saw in the end -- what's real and what's fake? You don't know. Our relationship the entire time could have been fake. You don't know; you don't know."

"You'll never know!" Kristin added.

Groovy. Thanks, guys. Nothing we like better than reality stars mocking their viewers for actually believing that we were seeing real details about their lives. Well done, 'The Hills'!

'The Hills' -- the Series Finale (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 14th 2010 5:30AM
'The Hills' -- the Series FinaleWell, this is it. This is the final episode ever of 'The Hills' (Tue., 10PM ET on MTV). On the episode, Kristin Cavallari bids farewell to annoying person Brody Jenner, as random rock music starts to kick in for some reason.

Yes, this is the end of 'The Hills.' Kristin decides to move to Europe, and as she is leaving, she gets a hug from on-again, off-again boyfriend Brody. And that's pretty much it. The camera pulls back ... to reveal that Brody is standing on a Hollywood set, which brings into question the "reality" of 'The Hills,' if you were mega-concerned about that.

So, farewell, 'The Hills.' We will miss getting to hear conversations like this, which always took place in some incredibly loud nightclub where no one could hear what anyone else was saying:

Is Brody here?

SECOND OTHER GIRL: I think I saw Brody!

OMG! There he is.

I can't believe this!

... Right?

OTHER GIRL PERSON: [Unintelligible.]

OTHER GIRL: ... What?

And so on and so forth. Yay! Good stuff. Thank you, 'The Hills'! We will look forward to all of your upcoming spin-off shows.

Kristin Declares Love for Brody, Gets Dissed on 'The Hills'Though in Costa Rica Kristin Cavallari messed around with a bartender and said Brody Jenner wasn't "the one" for her, she completely changed her mind on the following episode of 'The Hills' (Tue., 10PM ET on MTV).

During a chat with her on-again, off-again boy, Kristin told Brody, "I kind of want to give things a shot with you. And I mean, I want a boyfriend, so I would be willing to really try."

Brody's response? "Now is kinda too late," he said gingerly. "Part of the reason why I've been so distant ... is because I've been hanging out with somebody else, and I kinda want to see where it could go."

Kristin sought comfort from Lo Bosworth, saying, "The guy that I love doesn't want me." But Lo assured her that maybe it was just a case of timing. Umm... yeah. Maybe.

Kristin Messes Around With a New Guy on 'The Hills'Well, this is the last season of 'The Hills' (Tue., 10PM ET on MTV). But that doesn't mean that the drama has to end. Of course, the drama would never end on this show.

On the latest episode, the gang all travel down to Costa Rica. Which gives them a new venue for their usual game of arguing and cheating. While in a tropical bar on the island, Kristin and her ex-boyfriend Brody start fighting. Brody seems annoyed that Kristin has her eye on a new dude. So in response, he makes a toast to "Kristin's sisters that I've had sex with." Quite naturally, Kristin gets mad.

"Ha ha," Brody says. "Just kidding." Oh, ha ha. Well-played, Brody. You master of social situations, you.
