Michael Bolton: 'Dancing With the Stars' Judge Should Apologize (VIDEO)
by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 29th 2010 2:00PM
It didn't come as a big surprise that Michael Bolton got the boot on 'Dancing With the Stars' last night. The singer and his dance partner Chelsie Hightower scored a mere 12 points doing a jive on Monday night. Host Tom Bergeron gave judge Bruno Tonioli an opportunity to amend, apologize for or even retract the harsh comment he gave Bolton on Monday's show (he called their jive "the worst ... in 11 seasons"). Instead, Tonioli held his ground.
Bolton called the judge's remarks "inappropriate" and "disrespectful."
On 'Good Morning America,' Bolton demanded an apology from Tonioli. "You heard the tone. Even Len [Goodman] stopped him and said, 'That's inappropriate,'" he said. "I think he should apologize publicly and be reprimanded for it."
On the Scene: Jennifer Grey Remembers Patrick Swayze on 'Dancing With the Stars'

The first night jitters are officially out of the way. Twelve stars and their celebrity pro partners took to the dance floor and performed either a Cha-Cha or a Viennese Waltz on the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 11 opening night show. Actress Jennifer Grey, singer Brandy Norwood and athletes Rick Fox and Kurt Warner performed well -- as expected -- but the surprise of the night was teen actor Kyle Massey, who brought to mind a young Warren Sapp (Kym Johnson's season 7 partner) when he performed a dynamite dance with Lacey Schwimmer.
TV Squad was on the post-show press line to get reactions from all 24 participants. For one unlucky couple, alas, it's their second-to-last interview, because tonight one duo is going home.

The newest cast of 'Dancing With The Stars' got their feet wet last night after the line-up was unveiled by hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke.
Ten out of the show's dozen stars did their first round of publicity to tout their participation in the top-rated dance-competition series. (Singer Michael Bolton and reality TV star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino were unable to attend.) AOL's TV Squad was on the scene to get the celebs' reactions.
"My agent called me and asked me if I'd be interested in doing the show," said reailty TV star Audrina Partridge of 'The Hills.' "And I said, 'Yes!' I'm really excited to meet Jennifer Grey. I'm a big 'Dirty Dancing' fan."
Kyle Massey: The Biggest 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 11 Surprise?
by Chris Harnick, posted Aug 31st 2010 11:10AM
Who is Kyle Massey? The young Disney Channel star is perhaps the most surprising contestant to join the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 11 cast.Rumors swirled for weeks about who would be doing the samba across TV sets. Almost every other contestant had been leaked to the press -- including Bristol Palin, arguably the biggest tabloid target of the season -- but Massey remained the unnamed contestant.
The 19-year-old Disney Channel star got his start on the Raven-Symone sitcom 'That's So Raven.' He played Raven's brother Cory for 100 episodes.
