The 5 Best TVR Clips of the Week (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted May 7th 2011 12:00PM

It was a wild week at TV Replay, filled with parodies, bad poetry and multiples varieties of hilarity. Here are five our favorite clips; check them out and let us know which you enjoyed the most by voting in the poll below.

Donald Trump didn't have a very good week. After hounding President Obama for his birth certificate on every TV show that would have him, Obama released the official document, skewered Trump at the White House Press dinner, and then took out Osama bin Laden. Jimmy Fallon's Trump impression put a nice bow-tie on the cosmic absurdity of it all.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck dealt with the news of bin Laden's death in her own special way: by writing a 4-line children's poem to explain the news to her young kids. As Nick Zaino wrote at the time, "Caldecott Medal judges, take note."

Stevie NicksIt's time to dust off the bustier, slide into some velvet and sew on some sequins! In news that will make music fans from several generations very, very happy indeed, it's been reported that both Lady Gaga and Stevie Nicks will perform on the 'American Idol' season finale later this month.

According to Perez Hilton, the legendary Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter will take to the 'Idol' stage for what promises to be an epic performance.

There's been no word yet if we'll get to see a Stevie-Gaga duet, but it's likely that many minds will be blown by just the possibility of such a spectacular hook-up.

And that's not all Lady Gaga will be doing on 'Idol.' According to host Ryan Seacrest, the 'Born This Way' singer will be next week's mentor.

Lady Gaga Sings Oprah Winfrey a Farewell Tune (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 5th 2011 7:00PM
Lady Gaga and Orpah Winfrey embrace on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'Both Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey are counting down the days. Gaga has a new album, 'Born This Way,' coming out May 23. A couple of days later, on May 25, the last 'Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated) will air. So it was a nice bit of cross-promotion for Lady Gaga to come on the show and sing Winfrey a farewell song.

Dressed like a Klingon widow and sitting at a keyboard horned into a giant golden shoe, Gaga regaled the audience with a refrain about Winfrey's 25 years, set over cheesy power chord rock, repeating the phrase "you and I" a lot for some unclear reason. Did we mention the church windows? Yes, there were church windows.

Gaga and Oprah (an introduction Letterman would loved to have made) then embraced. In a nifty little plug for the album, Winfrey said, "You've encouraged people to be comfortable being born the way they are." If this is true, Gaga owes mom a big Mother's Day present for being born in a plastic-looking blazer with big pointy shoulders.

by Jean Bentley, posted Apr 28th 2011 4:45PM
NCIS Los Angeles'NCIS' creator Don Bellisario is suing CBS for not including him in the creation of the now-franchise's successful spin-off, 'NCIS: Los Angeles.'

Although Bellisario was fired from the show after season 4 when star Mark Harmon threatened to leave, Deadline reports Bellisario is saying that the network was still contractually obligated to include him in the spinoff show.

The network has countered via a statement to Entertainment Weekly, saying "Don Bellisario has no rights to what he is claiming in this suit. The contract is clear, the facts are undeniable and the courts won't need Naval intelligence to conclude that the case has no merit. We continue to honor all of our obligations to Mr. Bellisario under the actual agreement."

'Glee' Star Max Adler On Having to Bully His Costar Friends, Singing & 'Global Guts'

by Jean Bentley, posted Apr 26th 2011 9:00AM
Max Adler, GleeLet it be known: In real life, Max Adler and Chris Colfer are friends.

But on 'Glee,' Adler plays the closeted bully who tortured Colfer's Kurt with such hurtful homophobic slurs that the high school sophomore had to transfer to a private all-boys academy. On Tuesday's super-sized episode, though, Kurt returns to McKinley High and some of the pair's tension comes to a head.

After last weekend's prom spoiler leak, Adler was especially tight-lipped about what's coming up for Karofsky, but the admitted Lady Gaga fan did his best to share a little about tonight's sure-to-be-epic 90-minute 'Born This Way' episode.

"It's going to be, I'm going to say, one of the best episodes," he told AOL TV last week. "Right [up there with] the Super Bowl episode. The whole message is tackling everyone's insecurities as far as their sexuality, physical appearance or inability to do something, and it makes them realize over the course of the episode that the thing they're most insecure about is really the thing that makes them the most special and makes them stand out from the crowd. It's a really important message for people to see."

Glee, Born This Way, Lady GagaAfter what seems like months of hype (and some major spoilers), the super-sized self-acceptance-themed episode of 'Glee' is almost here. With it comes the Gleek-y version of Lady Gaga's "be yourself" anthem, 'Born This Way.'

Though the episode doesn't air until Tuesday, the full version of the track (along with two other songs from the episode) have leaked. After the jump, hear Kurt, Mercedes and Tina take the lead on the Lady Gaga song, Finn cover 'I've Gotta Be Me' by Sammy Davis, Jr., and Kurt tackle Barbra Streisand's 'As If We Never Said Goodbye.'

The 'Glee' Bullying/'Born This Way' Episode Will Be 90 Minutes

by Jean Bentley, posted Mar 29th 2011 12:00PM
GleeGet ready for a very special episode of 'Glee.' So special, in fact, that the episode is being expanded to 90 minutes instead of the usual 60.

The episode in question is the long-anticipated 'Born This Way' installment, in which bully Karofsky finally comes to terms with the fact that he's gay (presumably ... at least that's what we gather from past interviews with creator Ryan Murphy), but it will also feature several other characters struggling with acceptance and body-image issues, TV Line reports.

The story will obviously end with a triumphant rendition of Lady Gaga's hit, but throughout the episode, the zaftig Lauren Zizes (TV Squad BFF Ashley Fink) will run for prom queen, an unorthodox candidate for sure, and Rachel will consider getting a nose job, something star Lea Michele has been open about struggling with in the past.
