Caroline Kennedy Shares Photos of Her Family With Letterman (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 7th 2011 4:30AM
Caroline Kennedy, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Everyone likes to look back at old family photos, but not everyone has so much of the country interested in doing it with them. Caroline Kennedy, though, knows the love many still have for her father's presidency, and shared some pictures from that time with David Letterman on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS).

Apparently, at one time Caroline wanted everyone to call her "Cannon," after she took a trip to her family to Gettysburg. The name didn't stick, but Letterman promised her he could help with that. We suspect, though, that she's probably no longer interested in sporting that nickname, though Cannon Kennedy does have a nice ring to it.

George Clooney Talks About Pranking 90-Year Old Walter Cronkite (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 6th 2011 3:00AM
George Clooney, 'Late Show with David Letterman'George Clooney loves playing pranks on people, and it apparently doesn't matter how venerable you are, or even how old you are. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he detailed a pretty involved prank he played on then 90-year old Walter Cronkite.

Cronkite was invited over for a dinner gathering, and Clooney told him they dressed up for it. But when Cronkite came out dressed nicely, he was shocked to see everyone else sitting in their robes. But when he left to change, that's when Clooney's prank really kicked into high gear.

"It took him a while," he said of Cronkite getting changed. "And while he did we all ran upstairs, changed and put on suits."

Sean Young Dons Catwoman Costume to Get Work on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 5th 2011 3:45AM
Sean Young, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Sean Young jumped into the way-back machine to try and get some work on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). The actress somewhat famously donned a homemade Catwoman costume in the late '80s in an attempt to get the role in 'Batman Returns.'

The bid didn't work then, but she's hoping it will help her land some acting work this time, and she's not necessarily picky about the project. As a gag, she revealed a video of her working a part-time job, which turned out to be as a sign dancer wearing a Catwoman costume and screaming "I'm not crazy!" at the people driving by.

Brian Williams Has Great Hair, But Terrible Eating Habits on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 4th 2011 3:00AM
Brian Williams, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Brian Williams was looking particularly dapper for his 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) appearance, thanks apparently to the marmoset. According to the 'NBC Nightly News' anchor, his newest hair product is made from them, and more importantly, it doesn't show roots.

After he left, David Letterman let us know that he was headed back to his regular job over at 30 Rockefeller Center, which is only a few blocks away. So for fun, Letterman put a camera on to watch him making his way back to work.

The footage caught Brian Williams stopping off at a dumpster and taking a sandwich out of him. We know he's a hard-working man, but he doesn't have time to stop at a sandwich place, or at least a street vendor?

Nick Offerman Was Living in a Basement When He Met Wife Megan Mullally (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 29th 2011 2:30AM
Nick Offerman, 'Late Show with David Letterman'While most people would consider living as a starving artist in the basement of a bunch of fellow artists perhaps one of the roughest times of their lives, it turned out to be the best possible situation for Nick Offerman to be in. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) he talked about why.

It was around 2000 and Offerman was doing a play at a local theater alongside Megan Mullally. This was about two years into 'Will & Grace,' though, so most everyone else there was too intimated to talk to her.

"I didn't have a television, so I didn't know any better," he explained. "I went up to her and said, 'Hi, how you doing? You're really funny.'"

Anna Faris Reveals Her Parents' Strategy to Keep Her a Virgin in High School (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 28th 2011 3:00AM
Anna Faris, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Anna Faris seemed pretty confident that her parents were employing a clever strategy to keep her a virgin throughout high school. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), she talked about the extensive headgear contraption she had to wear, in conjunction with braces and a retainer. And then there was the commercial that didn't make her more popular.

It did increase her notoriety around school, but not in the best way. "I looked like I was about eight, " she said. "I think I was about sixteen, which is so embarrassing. I was hired because I was chunky."

That didn't make for the most positive reception in the halls of her school, but things appear to have worked out pretty well for Faris. The commercial helped her find her career in acting, she's grown into a beautiful woman and her teeth are just brilliantly straight.

Seth Rogen Respects 'Jersey Shore' Cast for Risking Their Lives (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 27th 2011 3:30AM
Seth Rogen, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Seth Rogen got to experience partying with the cast of 'Jersey Shore' and he lived to talk about it on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). There he admitted that the experience gave him a respect for what they do.

"I respect them like I respect a stunt man, like a rodeo clown or something like that," he explained. "Because they are putting themselves in physical danger for our entertainment."

He cited the excessive drinking of things no one should consume and the excessive bedding of things no one should bed. That puts them at risk for diseases and alcohol poisoning, and they do it all for us. Kind of puts what they do on that show in a whole new light, doesn't it?

Letterman Seems Distracted by Sofia Vergara's Beauty on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 23rd 2011 3:45AM
Sofia Vergara, 'Late Show with David Letterman'We suspect that David Letterman may have been a little distracted by Sofia Vergara when she came on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). She is a stunning woman, so it's understandable, but it was funny to watch as he could barely string a sentence together.

First, he mispronounced her first name in introducing her, though she seemed to think anything that sounds like Sofia is good enough for her.

But then when he went to ask how her Emmy night went, he said, "'The Family Show' did great with your Emmy awards, didn't it?"

Taylor Lautner Tells Letterman About Knocking Out His Co-Star (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 22nd 2011 3:30AM
Taylor Lautner, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Taylor Lautner had mixed feelings about a fight scene he filmed. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) he went into excruciating detail about the filming of one particular uppercut. It was Lautner vs. a 6'5" Russian actor, so there was a definite size disparity.

When the scene wasn't playing believably enough, the stunt coordinator suggested Lautner extend more and the other actor stick his chin out more. That's a recipe for a great and believable shot.

And it certainly was believable, because it was absolutely real. Lautner completely knocked the other actor out, and even did some damage to the guy's mouth. In other words, it was a great take!

Jonah Hill Tells 'Late Show' About Getting Pranked by Brad Pitt (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 21st 2011 3:00AM
Last night Jonah Hill stopped by 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) and talked about his 'Moneyball' co-star, Brad Pitt.

"He is incredibly skilled at pranking people," Hill said, and he even brought photographic evidence of one of Pitt's more elaborate pranks during filming.

Apparently, Hill was excited that for the first time he got a golf cart that was just for him to get around the set. Knowing how thrilled he was about it, the cart became the focal point of a great prank.

Not only did Pitt decorate the golf cart with a doctored photograph of him and Hill as if they were members of '80s pop duo Wham!, but he rigged the cart so that any time it was turned on, it played their hit 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.'

Ted Danson Played With a Human Skull He Found as a Child (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 20th 2011 4:45AM
Ted Danson, 'Late Show with David Letterman'When you were a kid, your imagination could make the most wondrous realities out of the most mundane objects. But Ted Danson's imagination got a huge help from a rather surprising found object, as he detailed it on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS).

When he and his friend were out playing army they discovered a real human skull, with what sounds like entrance and exit wound holes in it. Even more gruesome, the skull still had a tuft of hair attached to it still.

Nevertheless, the kids weren't daunted by this object at all, instead modifying their game to suit this exiting new find.

Michael J. Fox Shows 'Back to the Future II' Nike MAGs Up for Auction (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 9th 2011 3:48AM
Michael J. Fox, 'Late Show with David Letterman''Back to the Future Part II' featured all sorts of retro-futuristic cool gear like the self-lacing Nike MAGs Marty McFly wore. Now, in an effort to raise money for Parkinson's Research, the company is making 1,500 pairs of these shows available for auction, and Michael J. Fox brought a pair to 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS).

They look as awesome now as they did then, though Fox didn't wear them for us. Nor do they actually lace up by themselves, but it doesn't matter. As Fox indicated, auctioning the shoes are a great way to raise money because it taps into three different groups of people.

Sarah Jessica Parker Got Sneak Peek Inside Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 3:44AM
Sarah Jessica Parker, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Fame can have its advantages, and Sarah Jessica Parker wasn't one to miss an opportunity to use hers to help her out. When she was in Moscow recently, she'd intended to visit the Bolshoi Theatre, only to find it was still closed for renovations.

But, as she revealed on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), she didn't let that stop her.

She wooed a security guard, who was a fan, into letting her in. They took her camera and wanted to take everything because "it hasn't opened and there's a reveal to happen, [but] not with my camera," she explained.

But she convinced them to let her keep her Blackberry and took pictures despite their protests. "I took the verbal abuse off this man," she said. "Every time I took a picture he was like, 'Nyet!'"
