50 Cent Gave Mickey Rourke a Ride to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 5:00AM
Mickey Rourke, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Mickey Rourke was just going to take a cab to his appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), but instead he rolled up in style. In fact, he rolled up in a Rolls Royce, electric blue in color.

When his cab didn't show up, and in fact no other cabs were showing up either, the Rolls pulled up and it was 50 Cent. Rourke wasn't clear if 50 showed up intending to give him a ride, or if he just happened to be in the area. Jimmy Kimmel wondered if it wasn't indicative that perhaps 50 was stalking him.

He did, after all, happen to mention that he was intending to remake one of Rourke's more obscure movies. Maybe 50 made all the cabs disappear, too, just so he could give Rourke that ride.

Jennifer Tilly Wants to Give Up Playing Poker, Get Back Into Acting (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 4:15AM
Jennifer Tilly, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Jennifer Tilly has made quite a name for herself in the world of professional poker, but it's a name she may soon be leaving behind, according to her stop by 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She explained with a very drawn out example one of the reasons why poker may be more stress than its worth.

More specifically, though, Tilly said, "When I was an actress, I would go on the set, I'd say one line, I'd collect my bill for $30,000 and I would go home. When I'm playing poker ... I put my $30,000 on the table, I play for 20 hours, there's nothing left." That's just math, and you can't argue with the numbers.

Stephen Colbert Tells Seth Meyers He Wants to Host 'SNL' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 3:45AM
Seth Meyers, 'The Colbert Report'When Seth Meyers took time out from a busy week of preparations for a new 'Saturday Night Live' to appear on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), an interesting question was raised.

It was when Stephen Colbert professed his interest in being an 'SNL' host that things got interesting. Meyers asked if he could do any characters -- itself a funny question considering that Colbert is essentially a character -- and he did a relatively awful Robert De Niro impression. But how would Colbert host? Would he be 'Colbert Report' Stephen or would he be himself?

Bill Clinton Talks the Economy And His New Book on 'The Daily Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 3:30AM
Bill Clinton, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'Bill Clinton may not be president anymore, but he's still very much invested in the future of this country, and presents his strategy for creating jobs and climbing out of this economic downturn. More than that, though, his new book 'Back to Work' uses historical trends and data to instill hope in America that this is not an inevitable downward spiral. On 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) he talked passionately about the state of the country.

You could tell that Clinton is very focused on the importance of hope and patience for the American public. He even managed to stay on task when Jon Stewart couldn't resist slipping in a joke at Herman Cain's expense, related to the sexual harassment allegations. Clinton just kept on pressing his message.

Robert Pattinson Uses Some Weird Techniques to Disguise Himself (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 3:15AM
Robert Pattinson, 'Late Show with David Letterman'One of the biggest things that celebrities have to deal with is getting recognized in public. Add to that the recognition coming from playing a ridiculously popular character like Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight' series of films, and Robert Pattinson gets more than just passively recognized. He gets mobbed, though he has some interesting ideas how to avoid it on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS).

Pattinson said he actually tried simply making strange expressions to avoid getting recognized. By this, he means contorting your face, or adopting tics to "draw attention to the wrong part of your body." However, he found that this doesn't particularly work.

Ross Matthews And the 'Chelsea' Round Table Talk Herman Cain Scandal (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 2:30AM
Ross Matthews, 'Chelsea Lately'The topic of conversation for the 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) was predictably the ongoing scandal surrounding GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain. With a fourth woman coming forward, and this time revealing herself, with accusations of sexual harassment, it seems this is a story that simply isn't going to die.

Josh Wolf mentioned how Herman Cain keeps wanting to convince the media that he'd rather focus on talking about the issues than this scandal. But as Wolf points out, "You trying to force a woman to give you a b****** ... is kind of an issue!"

Eva Longoria Tells Fallon About an ATM in Dubai That Gives Out Gold Bars (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 28th 2011 6:00AM
Eva Longoria, 'Late Night'Celebrities are not like you and me. They have crazy, jet-setting lives in which they do things like go to Dubai for the day, as Eva Longoria did recently. And as she told 'Late Night' (Weeknights., 12:30AM ET on NBC) host Jimmy Fallon, Dubai is one crazy place.

"It's like, fake, and it's like a baby Vegas." Now, we don't know if the streets in Dubai are actually paved with gold, but the ATMs there do dispense gold. Actual gold. Fallon held up a picture of Longoria standing next to a "Gold to Go" ATM. As she explained, "This ATM, you put money in, and it gives you a gold bar."

She was going to give it a whirl and take out her own gold bar but changed her mind when she discovered it would cost a whopping $2,000. That's a lot of chump change for what's basically a souvenir.

Toby Keith and Stephen Colbert Sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 28th 2011 5:45AM
Toby Keith, 'The Colbert Report'Toby Keith performed his new single, 'Made in America' on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central). But he didn't stop there. Despite his assessment that America is basically falling apart and that there is no solution, Keith is still a patriot.

For that, Stephen Colbert considers himself blood brothers with Keith. And as two patriotic citizens and brothers, they joined forces to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner.' And while you might expect Keith to take the bass part, that went to Colbert, who gave an almost monotone delivery.

Johnny Depp Talks Justin Bieber on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 28th 2011 5:30AM
Johnny Depp, 'Late Show'Johnny Depp knows a thing or two about being a teen heartthrob, so who better to consider the phenomenon known as Justin Bieber? The first time Depp came across the Bieb, he told 'Late Show' (Weeknights., 11:30PM ET on CBS) host David Letterman, was when he was doing press interviews for his movie 'Rango.'

When a journalist acted Depp if he was "a Belieber" the actor was at first confused, and he thought maybe the guy either had a speech impediment or had downed a few drinks. But then the old synapses fired off and he realized what the guy was talking about.

So Depp said, "Of course, I'm a huge Belieber." And then, as if by magic, Bieber himself appeared in the room. "I don't know if we summoned him up?" joked Depp.

Jon Stewart Struggles to Keep Up (And Down) With the Stock Market (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 28th 2011 5:15AM
'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'Jon Stewart learned a valuable lesson on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central). For the past week, the stock market has been fluctuating wildly, each time a new report came out regarding the economic conditions in Europe.

But as the markets vary, it should not be used as a barometer of how the economy is doing, and certainly now how you should be feeling. Unfortunately, Stewart was apparently celebrating the highs with certain drugs and the lows with others. It was party followed by gut-wrenching depression only to party it up again the next night.

Rebecca Romijn Will Kick Your Boss in the Groin on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 28th 2011 5:00AM
Rebecca Romijn, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Rebecca Romijn had a surprise new reality show to promote on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC). She tried to explain it, but decided it was better to just show a promotional clip of it.

It looks like the show will be about Romijn helping people with difficult bosses at work. And, as it turns out, it couldn't be easier to explain. Plus, it's all right there in the title: 'Rebecca Romijn Kicks Your Boss in the Nuts and Calls Him an A******!'

The close of the clip had Guillermo hiring Romijn to help him with Kimmel, who ran away. It never helps if they're in on it, because then they know what to expect.

Chelsea Handler, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Jay Leno was fascinated with Chelsea Handler's love life on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). First, he wanted to talk about her ex-boyfriend who's currently Leno's boss.

"He's your boss, too," Handler said. "Yeah, so you're going to have to start sleeping with him."

Leno called it on Handler being attracted to older men, though she tried to deny it at first. But she says "everything is possible," citing her phase where she dated mostly black men.

Brett Ratner Tells Kimmel About Playing Pranks With Michael Jackson (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 27th 2011 8:25AM
Brett Ratner, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Director Brett Ratner stopped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights., 12AM ET on ABC) and reminisced about his friendship with Michael Jackson. They were such good buddies that Ratner even stayed in "The Elizabeth Taylor Suite" at Jackson's house when Taylor wasn't there.

They met when Ratner was making the first 'Rush Hour' movie and he says all the King of Pop wanted to do was play practical jokes on people. One night the pair went for a drive around Santa Barbara in Jackson's enormous stretch limo and they got their kicks by throwing water balloons out the window.

Unfortunately for a homeless guy who just happened to be walking by, Jackson had a good arm and hit him with a water balloon before driving off. Fortunately for Jackson, he was wearing a Hulk mask so his victim never knew who'd soaked him. Until maybe now, that is ...

Salma Hayek Plays Beer Pong with Fallon, Suggests Tequila Instead (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 27th 2011 6:00AM
Salma Hayek, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'Jimmy Fallon loves to play games with his guests on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC), and one of his favorites is beer pong. Salma Hayek, on the other hand, had never played the game before her appearance on the show, but she's definitely a fan.

Not once, but twice, she said "I love this game!" while playing. She did, however, suggest upping the stakes considerably by drinking tequila instead of beer the next time around. That should make the later rounds far less successful, while way more hilarious at the same time.

John Cho and Kal Penn Share Their Different White House Experiences (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 27th 2011 5:45AM
John Cho & Kal Penn, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'John Cho and Kal Penn are starring in their third 'Harold & Kumar' film this holiday season, but that doesn't mean they do everything together. John Cho clarified this for Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) when the host asked him if he'd ever worked in the White House like Penn did.

Cho has been to the White House, though, and got a special treat while he was there. Both he and his father were born in Korea -- his father walked from North to South when war broke out -- so they were honored to met the president of South Korea, and then the president of the United States.
