Laura Ingraham filled in for Bill O'Reilly on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8PM ET on Fox News), but the host still called in to discuss his appearance on the 'Late Show With David Letterman' last week.

Letterman and O'Reilly have traded unfriendly barbs in the past, and Ingraham asked O'Reilly to address the "new love" between himself and the late-night host, which she thought she picked up on during their latest encounter.

"I don't know if I'd call it love; he called me a blowhard and -- I don't think there's any love between Dave and I," O'Reilly said. "I go on the program obviously to plug (my book) 'Pinheads and Patriots,' which I think is a worthy endeavor. I was on for a long time, three segments ... but nobody walked off the set, so that's a plus."

The quip about walking off the set is in reference to an appearance O'Reilly made on 'The View' in October, in which Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg stormed off the set after O'Reilly made a comment about Muslims they disagreed with. O'Reilly patched things up with Goldberg on 'The Factor,' and posed for a friendly picture with Behar at the White House holiday party this weekend.

Further proof there are no real feuds among TV personalities as long as there are books to sell.

Things got meta on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8 PM ET on Fox News) Thursday when Bill O'Reilly and Laura Ingraham discussed an interview O'Reilly did with Jon Stewart the night before. Ingraham wasn't impressed with Stewart's performance.

"Jon Stewart looked like the sad clown," she declared. "He just kind of seemed sad ... He didn't even get in the shots on you that I thought he'd get."

"I thought (Stewart) gave as good as he got," O'Reilly replied, disagreeing with Ingraham.

"I think Stewart is the smartest guy in the entertainment current affairs business," O'Reilly continued. "He smarter than all of the others, and he's an honest guy."

It's not entirely surprising that O'Reilly would stick up for Stewart so strongly, as the two seem to genuinely enjoy the respectful sparring they engage in when they appear together. In fact, an O'Reilly/Stewart show would be pretty terrific TV. (They just couldn't call it 'Crossfire.')

On 'The O'Reilly Factor' guest host Laura Ingraham asked conservative pundit Ann Coulter if it's true that she had been offered a spot on 'Dancing With The Stars.'

"Yeah ... I like the show, it's a great show," Coulter said. "Instead of saying no immediately, I did consider it for thirty seconds because they pay a lot of money to be on 'Dancing With the Stars' -- I can see how they get great people to do it, -- but it's not for me.

We got rare insight into the coping strategy of the mild one during Tuesday's 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weeknights, 8 PM ET on Fox News), which was being guest hosted by Laura Ingraham.

As Ingraham and Colmes fired well-worn 'Ground Zero Mosque' talking points at one another, the camera cut to Colmes, and caught him blatantly playing around with his iPhone.

Was he getting instructions from liberal central? Nay, we bet he was texting someone -- maybe to say how the "show sux when billo is gone."

Or perhaps he was just playing Zombie Attack.

There may well be some not-completely-ridiculous reasons why twenty percent of the American public now incorrectly believes Barack Obama is a Muslim, a misconception that hasn't arisen with any previous U.S. president.

But instead of focusing on the fallout from Obama's exotic given name, or the fact that some members of his extended family practice the Muslim faith, Laura Ingraham, guest hosting 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weeknights, 8 PM ET on Fox News), blamed Obama's gym schedule for the public's confusion over his religion.

"Christmas Day of last year, the president doesn't go to church, doesn't go Christmas Eve either . . . he goes to the gym and works out," Ingraham insinuated. "Now for a president of the United States, that just seems a little odd."

You have to hand it to Stephen Colbert and his writers. They found a clever way of dissing Laura Ingraham and her new book, 'The Obama Diaries.'

On last night's 'The Colbert Report' (weeknights at 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), Colbert, playing his part as cable news blowhard, told Ingraham that the writing of the book was terrible and banal. The joke of the book is that it is supposedly President Obama's diaries, so Colbert saying that Obama's writing is bad really means that Ingraham's writing is bad because she's the one who wrote the book.

It's not as confusing as that paragraph would make it seem.

As part of his never-ending quest to make himself the news, the "Culture Warrior" has lobbed another fireball on the world of popular culture. This time it's Law & Order SVU creator Dick Wolf, because the show mentioned him.

This week's episode, titled "Anchor," featured a character who kills children birthed by illegal immigrants in America. His attorney, played by John Laroquette, fashions a defense that the TV and radio talking heads who rail against illegal immigrants are responsible for his actions. He even puts one on the stand, played by Bruce McGill, who seems to be channeling a Warner Bros. cartoon version of Lou Dobbs.

The attorney mentions O'Reilly by name, along with Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, as a "cancer spreading ignorance and hate." O'Reilly not only ripped Wolf a new one for working him into his show, but also brought in fellow pundit Laura Ingraham who frankly seemed more upset that she wasn't one of the name smeared in the episode like a jilted prom queen who only scores "Miss Congeniality". Well, darling, there's always Criminal Minds.

In a way it's hard to talk about this since we can't read the article that Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly is talking about (it has been removed from the Playboy site), but if it's 1/10 as disgusting as she says, then she has a right to be angry.

According to this article, FOX News is working on a new pilot styled after The Daily Show. I thought April Fool's Day was months ago?

A tipster said that the program is called Watch This Right Now and is "an absolutely terrible rip-off of Daily Show" with a "music and video montage" and "mouth replacement of known news figures" (the latter sounds a lot like one of Conan O'Brien's gags). Conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham reportedly filmed something for the show. Uh-oh.

I guess since Comedy Central took on The O'Reilly Factor and found success (The Colbert Report), FOX deemed it appropriate to take on TDS. I doubt it'll make it past the pilot.
