I'm going to file this under "I'll believe it when I see it," but StarPulse is reporting that Hugh Laurie's character Gregory House on the series House will be without his cane come next season. The article alleges that Laurie began to suffer back problems from having to limp with the cane all day, and asked producers to come up with a way for him to kick the cane to the curb. Apparently the season finale will involve House being shot in the leg, an injury that miraculously cures him. While I'm sad about the prospect of House losing his signature cane, I'm more worried that if his leg is cured he'll have no reason to consume pain killers all day. I want my House drugged up, darn it.
