Kathy Griffin's 'Let's Dance' May Air at Midseason
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 11th 2009 1:15PM
ABC may tango with 'Let's Dance' after all.Just days after the announcement of its premature demise, word is trickling out that the show could join the network's midseason lineup.
Kathy Griffin was set to host the dance competition, which planned to feature comedic performances by stars of some of the most iconic dances of all time. That meant we'd almost inevitably see someone tackle Michael Jackson's Motown 25th Anniversary performance of the moonwalk, as well as plenty of other classic video and movie performances ('Dirty Dancing,' anyone?)
ABC Cancels 'Eastwick,' 'Let's Dance'
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 10th 2009 8:00AM
'Eastwick' will no longer cast a spell on ABC. The network has reportedly chosen not to order any additional episodes of the bewitching series, starring Rebecca Romijn, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
In the meantime, ABC says that it will finish filming the remaining episodes under the show's 13-episode order. These episodes will in fact see the light of day -- at some point, anyway.
Eastwick has already been bumped for the next two weeks. The CMA Awards will air this Wednesday, followed by an exclusive interview with Janet Jackson on Nov. 18. That means the first of the six remaining episodes wouldn't even hit our screens until at least Nov. 25, assuming ABC sticks to its current schedule.
Kathy Griffin dances her way into new ABC series

Attention, attention! This is not a joke. It's not a spoof or a gag. Kathy Griffin will host a dance show for ABC. That's right, the funny lady of Bravo's My Life on the D-List, has said yes to hosting Let's Dance, a new celebrity reality show in which stars compete with one another by re-creating classic routines from pop culture. That means someone is going to try and do Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" dance from Motown's 25th Anniversary Special, don't you think?I am not a Dancing With the Stars fan, but this show sounds like something I'd be interested in watching for a couple of reason. Number one is Kathy Griffin. I think she's hilarious. She also loves celebrities, so I could see her really getting into this show and being the perfect built-in zingmeister. She'll say whatever comes to her mind, and -- fortunately -- that's usually pretty funny.
Between seasons of Dancing with the Stars, ABC says Let's Dance
by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 11th 2009 2:04PM
Because you can never get enough of celebrities dancing, ABC has picked up Let's Dance, which they're calling a comedic reality show. It's based on a format that found success as part of the UK's Comic Relief programming. Rather than having celebrities commit to a full season to learn a variety of ballroom styles, a la Dancing with the Stars, this new show only requires a one-week commitment with the possibility of a "finale" return. And all they have to master is an already well-known dance.I guess this is where the "comedy" comes in?
