Now Levi Johnston Wants to Do a Show About Alaska Too
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 30th 2010 5:02PM
If you had told me a few years ago that in 2010 we were going to have not one but two reality shows about Alaska on the air, one hosted by a former candidate for Vice President and the other hosted by her Playgirl-posing almost-son-in-law, I probably would have told you that you're drinking way too much Yoo-Hoo. But it's happening! True, Sarah Palin's show for TLC is more of a documentary, but 'Levi Johnston's Final Frontier' is being described by one of the producers as "'Jersey Shore' on ice," which conjures up a lot of really bad images, one of them being Disney characters with rock hard abs skating around drunk and punching each other.
Johnston doesn't have a network for his reality show yet (it could land on MTV), but I'm going to go ahead and assume it's not going to be on PBS or The History Channel.

Sherri Shepherd Defends Levi Johnston on 'The View' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 2nd 2010 4:00PM
We're not quite sure what point Sherri Shepherd is trying to make in this clip, but it sure is fun to watch. Barbara Walters criticizes Levi Johnston for failing to pay child support to Bristol Palin and argues that he should simply "get a job" on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated). This sets off Shepherd, who comes to Johnston's defense and says that his recent pictorial in Playgirl counts as legitimate work.

TV Casting: Freddy Rodriguez, David Strathairn Lead New Pilots
by Andrew Scott, posted Feb 11th 2010 12:23PM
'Six Feet Under' alum Freddy Rodriguez will lead the CBS pilot 'Chaos.' Rodriguez will reportedly play a naive agent who wants to make the world a better place in this drama from director Brett Ratner. Meanwhile, Oscar nominee David Strathairn ('Good Night, and Good Luck') is also headed to the small screen in the ABC pilot 'Matadors.' He'll join the recently cast Zach Gilford ('Friday Night Lights') in the series, about dueling legal families in Chicago. [Hollywood Reporter]More casting news after the jump.
Levi Johnston on Posing for Playgirl and Being a Gay Icon (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Dec 8th 2009 9:42AM
On 'The Joy Behar Show,' Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin's baby-daddy and former boyfriend, spoke about his decision not to go fully nude in his recent 'Playgirl' spread, and the fact he's now become somewhat of an icon among gays."I just got to thinking, you know, I'm only 19-years-old, and I just didn't really want to get into the whole porno, porn, sex scene type deal," Johnston said on his decision not to bare all.

Palin had dirty bit cut from her SNL show
by Danny Gallagher, posted Nov 18th 2009 8:08PM
Here's a shocker: something from Sarah Palin's memoir that hasn't been disputed. Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers confirmed a claim made by the former Republican VP candidate that she asked the writers to remove a rather ribald joke from Amy Poehler's rap performance that referenced the phrase "drill, baby, drill" during her appearance on the show last year.
The full joke went, "When we're in Wascilla (sic), it's chill, baby, chilla/In the bedroom with Todd, it's drill, baby, drilla." That's weird, Take out the "with Todd" and you've got an exact quote from Levi Johnston's MySpace page (that joke so would have killed in 2008).
Sarah Palin Interview: Oprah's Highest-Rated Show in Two Years
by Elizabeth Chan, posted Nov 18th 2009 5:00PM
This is what they probably meant by keep your friends close -- and your enemies closer.According to the Live Feed, Oprah's sit down with Sarah Palin on Monday earned an impressive 8.7 rating, making it 'The Oprah Winfrey Show''s highest-rated show in two years. That tops a 2007 interview, in which Oprah interviewed the entire Osmond family.
Palin -- who appeared on the show to promote her new memoir 'Going Rogue: An American Life' -- even ousted the much-touted, two-part season premiere interview with Whitney Houston.
Does the Levi Johnston Pistachio Commercial Bug You? (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Nov 16th 2009 2:40PM
When we first saw the Levi Johnston pistachio commercial, it annoyed the heck out of us. Maybe it's because here's this kid getting his 15 minutes of fame, and he's done ... what? Nothing, except impregnate a teenage girl (yes, we know it takes two to tango and she was his dance partner). But on further examination, the commercial is, well, even more annoying. Let's break it down ...

Do not miss AOL TV's LIVE BLOGGING of this episode TODAY at 4pm ET. Click here to join us or find out more. Sarah Palin's first interview on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' takes place on Monday, Nov. 16, and let's just hope the chair is comfortable ... because the room might not be.
Sarah Palin, former vice presidential candidate and everybody's favorite "average hockey mom," will have a lot to discuss. It was recently reported her daughter's ex-boyfriend and father of her grandson, Levi Johnston, finished his highly publicized 'Playgirl' shoot with a hockey stick. (Seriously, a real one -- no euphemisms here.) Just think, even your worst Thanksgiving has nothing on what the Palins' home will be like this year.
Oprah didn't even let the hot seat cool down for too long before she posted this You Tube video detailing what to expect when she sits down with the former vice-presidential candidate on Monday. Watch it after the jump.

What You Missed Last Night: Conan apologizes to Levi
by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 6th 2009 3:29PM
Yesterday we posted video of William Shatner reading the tweets of Levi Johnston on The Tonight Show. Turns out Shatner read tweets from a fake Twitter account, and Johnston demanded an apology. He got one last night from Conan (well, sort of), but then we were treated to more Shatner. (Bonus: Conan mentions TMZ!)

What You Missed Last Night: Shatner recites the Twitter poetry of Levi Johnston
by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 5th 2009 1:35PM
William Shatner has appeared on The Tonight Show to give his typically awesome take on the Twitter messages that Sarah Palin posted to her account when she was Governor of Alaska. Last night he appeared again to recite the Twitter "poetry" of her arch-rival Levi Johnston.
Update: Johnston and his lawyer demand a retraction from Conan, saying that Twitter account is actually fake and Johnston never said those things. Maybe Conan will apologize on tonight's show. [Watch clips and episodes of The Tonight Show and other shows on SlashControl.]

Levi Johnston: Sarah Palin Joked About Trig's Down Syndrome (Video)
by Donald Deane, posted Oct 28th 2009 11:52AM
On 'The Early Show,' Levi Johnston, former boyfriend of Bristol Palin and father to her child, continued to offer interesting tidbits on the Palin family.According to Johnston, Sarah Palin repeatedly joked about her son Trig's Down syndrome, using a disparaging term to refer to his condition. And that's not all, said Johnston. He's apparently witnessed other damaging things while Palin was Governor of Alaska that could "get her in trouble."
