by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 15th 2011 7:40AM
Old Anne Hathaway Footage on 'Lopez'When Anne Hathaway appeared on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), she reminisced about working with George Lopez in 'Rio.'

In addition to voicing characters, they both sang in the film. "'Rio' was not the first time that Anne Hathaway was singing," noted Lopez. And he wasn't referring to the Oscars. Before showing the clip, he added, "This will bump up your street cred."

Unbeknownst to Hathaway, the show's producers had dug up footage of a teenage Anne singing, dancing and even rapping at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, N.J.

Horrified, Hathaway screamed, "Oh, no!!" and then began to laugh. "Thank you, Paper Mill Playhouse," she said sarcastically.

Prince Talks Covers on 'Lopez Tonight'On 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), Prince opened up about all the covers of his songs and an industry loophole that "doesn't exist in any other art form -- be it books, movies..."

"I don't mind fans singing the songs. My problem is when the industry covers the music," he said. "A lot of times, people think I'm doing a Sinéad O'Connor song ['Nothing Compares 2 U'] and Chaka Khan songs, when in fact I wrote those songs."

Christian Slater Recalls a Frank Sinatra Concert with 'Goodfellas-Type Guys' (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 13th 2011 6:00AM
Christian Slater Talks Frank Sinatra on 'Lopez'Christian Slater counts himself lucky to have seen Frank Sinatra in concert. About 20 years ago, he sat in an audience of "'Goodfellas'-type guys" in a huge Las Vegas dining hall. The guys seated around him were friendly, one telling Slater that he used to be a Golden Gloves boxing champion.

As Sinatra began to perform, the ex-boxer "starts singing along with him," Slater recounted on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS). "So you can't really hear Sinatra ... All I got is this guy next to me, and he's already let me know he can kick my a--."

Still, he said, "It was an incredible show, and to see Sinatra live was remarkable." Yes, "see" is the appropriate word.

George Lopez and Russell Brand Wear Darth Vader Helmets for 'Lopez Tonight' Interview (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 12th 2011 3:38AM
Russell Brand in Darth Vader helmet, 'Lopez Tonight'Everybody's familiar with the Darth Vader voice-changing helmets. Even adults found themselves drawn to them, having fun saying cool lines from the movie. On 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), George Lopez took the notion of playing with them a step further when he decided to interview Russell Brand while wearing one.

To complete the bizarre visual, Brand was given a mask as well. While the interview set off along fairly normal topics, talking about the possibility of children in Brand's future, it was only moments before Brand realized something.

"Hey, I can say whatever I like while I'm wearing this because people can't see my lips move," he realized suddenly. From there it was a string of profanities that we're pretty certain was even worse than the closed-captioning that started scrolling at the bottom of the screen.

Terrence Howard Plays Spanish Music With the Band on 'Lopez Tonight' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 7th 2011 5:26AM
Terrence Howard, 'Lopez Tonight'Terrence Howard proved on 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS) that music knows no boundaries. He professed a great love for music in general, saying "That's all I think about!"

But the actor has a special affection for Spanish music, despite the language barrier. He never learned to speak Spanish.

"So I've made up a lot of words ... with a lot of songs," he admitted.

When George Lopez asked him if he wanted to take the stage with the band and perform, Howard was all for it. While we thought he was capable enough on the guitar, his voice wasn't the strongest. We have heard worse among finalists on 'American Idol,' though.

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 6th 2011 6:59AM
Drew Carey is a man of his word. It was proven on 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS) when George Lopez reminded him of a bet the two of them made the last time Carey was a guest. To give you an idea of the bet, it was before LeBron James had announced he was leaving Cleveland for Miami.

"I'll bet you $1,000 I think LeBron's staying in Cleveland," Carey said at the time. "And if he leaves, I'll let you come on 'The Price Is Right' and present a Showcase of your choice."

But that was then, and this is now. "Can I present a Showcase?" Lopez asked tonight.

by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 1st 2011 6:40AM
Snoop Dogg Talks Prince William's Song on 'Lopez'To say that the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton will be an extremely dignified affair is surely an understatement. But must the future king's bachelor party be that way? Apparently Queen Elizabeth II doesn't think so.

On 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), Snoop Dogg claimed that the Queen phoned the rapper and requested "somethin' special for her grandkid. So why not? Let me do it. I'm the best one when it comes to throwin' parties anyway."

'Wet' is the result: a special anthem for the royal "stag" party. He explained, "I want him to have a little bit of fun before he get married ... to see all the girls that you gonna be able to see before you lie down with that one. And enjoy yourself."

George Lopez then asked if Snoop would perform a few lines in the studio, and he obliged.

'Lopez': Bethenny Frankel Helped Uncover and Bust a Russian Crime Ring (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 29th 2011 6:56AM
Bethenny Frankel, 'Lopez Tonight'Some cop in New York owes Bethenny Frankel a big thank you. Actually, a whole lot of law enforcement officials could give thanks for her perseverance based on the story she told on 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS) of how she uncovered a Russian crime ring.

It all started when Frankel went to sell her engagement ring on eBay and it got stolen. While the police were doing their thing, Frankel returned to eBay where she found her ring and tracked down the store that had it.

Then she went to the store and found her actual ring and called the police. "I called this guy at the police department who wouldn't help me," she said. "We're getting my ring, and if you don't get down here by 5 o'clock I'm going in and I'm stealing it and then you can take me to jail."

He explained (in Spanish) that the town in which he was born (Uvalde, Texas) is 82 percent Mexican. And all his older brothers' friends -- male and female -- were Mexican. "That's where I learned a little bit of Spanish," he said.

The studio audience cheered him on, and George Lopez was impressed. "Lemme tell you something, if I wasn't high, I could've sworn I was -- seeing Matthew McConaughey talk Spanish!"

Tori and Liam were watching a movie in which a guy and girl were just talking. Tori explained to her son, "He's flirting with her ... He likes her."

'Lopez' Reveals Video of Mike Tyson on a Foreign 'Dancing With the Stars' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 22nd 2011 6:17AM
Mike Tyson, 'Lopez Tonight''Dancing With the Stars' has managed to get quite an array of talent across its twelve seasons so far. But one name they haven't gotten is the heavyweight champ, Mike Tyson. Or, at least, the U.S. version of 'DWTS' hasn't gotten him.

Tyson admitted on 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS) that he did participate in a foreign edition of the show, but that his wife struggled with watching him dance with another woman.

But then George Lopez revealed that he had footage of Tyson dancing, and we got to see her struggle first-hand. It may not have been so much that he was dancing with another woman, because you can barely call it that. Tyson's wife probably felt sorry for his professional partner having to dance with him.

Pee-Wee Herman, 'Lopez Tonight'Sometimes it pays off to do things that are completely random. Pee-Wee Herman and George Lopez struck coincidental gold when they decided to poll the 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM on TBS) audience for tattoos.

They thought it was going well enough when beautiful women started flashing skin to showcase some of their artistic expressions. What they didn't expect was for one to stand and announce, "I have a tattoo of Pee-Wee Herman on the back of my leg."

Lopez got her up onto the stage so they could get a closer look at it, and Herman got down on his hands and knees so he could be caught in the shot with his visage on the back of her leg.
