'The Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette': Where Are They Now?
by Andrew Scott, posted Jul 27th 2009 6:00AM
If past seasons are any indication, chances are Jillian Harris won't find true love on 'The Bachelorette.'But while the show's marriage track record is a lousy 1 for 17, many Bachelors and Bachelorettes have gone on to do great things after the final rose ceremony. Some have landed new TV gigs, some have written books, while others have actually made it down the aisle -- albeit, with people not featured on the show.

The newest Bachelor is less prince, more Jersey
by Anna Johns, posted Oct 4th 2006 8:05AM
ABC's latest Bachelor candidate is starting to sound a little slimy. Sure, Lorenzo Borghese is a member of Italy's royal family who grew up in the United States. But apparently he couldn't speak a lick of Italian so the producers signed him up for an intensive Italian course before the show started, according to Radar online. And, even though his bio says he was raised in Connecticut, Radar can only find addresses for his family in New Jersey, dating back to 1979. Plus, the Radar reporters say there's no way Rome is Lorenzo's "second home", as he claims in the promos. Members of the Borghese family in Rome say the prince has never come to their city. And, quite frankly, they're embarrassed that he's doing the show as a member of the family.[Via TV Tattle]
The Bachelor: Rome: Season Premiere

(S09E01) Watching The Bachelor tonight I have to wonder at what age the princess myth should die in young girls? When do they stop seeing the Disney movies about Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella as potential life paths? In the latest crop of Bachelor girls the dream is alive and well as they chase the slightly skeevy Prince Lorenzo Borghese.Hey Tom Biro, this is what you passed up
by Joel Keller, posted Sep 26th 2006 2:08PM
If you recall, our very own Tom Biro was approached by the folks at ABC's The Bachelor to think about being the object of bachelorettes' desire on the upcoming season of the show. Apparently, they were looking for a "professional," and they managed to find him via his LinkedIn account. However, Biro told our cousins over at Netscape that he was perfectly happy in his current relationship and was not going to pursuse this "opportunity."So, because the blogger disappointed them, they decided to go straight to the world of Italian nobility. According to Zap2It, the new Bachelor is Lorenzo Borghese, the owner of a cosmetics business and the son of an Italian prince and princess. And the bachelorettes? Seems to be the usual collection of cute women with varying careers, age range 22-30. Among them is a doctor, a couple of lawyers (one from the town I live in!), and, most interestingly, a beer chemist. Wow. Pretty and she knows how to make beer! If I were the Bachelor, the contest would be over right there.
