'Mad Men' Star Jon Hamm Signs New Contract, Banana Republic Launches 'MM' Clothing Range

'Mad Men' fans struggling through the dry spell between Seasons 4 and 5 can rest easy in the knowledge that Don Draper will be on the show until the end.And, for those fans looking to maintain the 'Mad Men' mood through the long wait, Banana Republic has announced that in August it will launch a range of clothing and accessories inspired by the '60s-set drama.
Deadline.com reports that in the wake of 'Mad Men' creator Matthew Weiner's new three-year deal, star Jon Hamm has renegotiated his contract with Lionsgate-AMC.
He was previously committed to a further two seasons, but that's now been upped to three in exchange for a whopping pay-day -- estimated to be an eight-figure sum -- which makes him one of the highest-paid actors in a cable series.
Mo' Money, Mo' Problems: 'Mad Men' Production May Be Delayed Until 2012

'Mad Men' fans are reeling today after Brian Stelter of the New York Times reported that infighting between AMC and Lionsgate may delay production of the show's fifth season until 2012.The cause of the delays, simply put, is money. In January, 'Mad Men' creator Matthew Weiner described the disagreement in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"They are fighting over a very lucrative property... It's one of the biggest perils of success - everyone wants a piece of it now, and they are fighting over who is gonna get the biggest chunk."
