People tend to forget that, while it's routine, pregnancy is still a traumatic change to a woman's body (at least that's what I've heard); complications can happen at any time, especially to older moms. Marcia Cross of Desperate Housewives is finding this out, as she's been ordered to bed rest by her doctors for the remainder of her pregnancy. Her spokesperson told the AP that it was a precautionary measure but didn't give any more details (I'm not a doctor, but my guess is that being almost 45 isn't helping matters).

How this effects Housewives is unclear; she was supposed to film two more episodes after the Feb. 11 episode, but that is now up in the air (remember, her character Bree isn't pregnant). The last two days of this week's shooting schedule, however, will take place at her Los Angeles home, according to TV Guide. Guess they'll have Bree get sick or break an ankle so they can film scenes with her in bed for two days. That's going to take some pretty deft writing skills there. (S03E06) This episode was absolutely delicious -- like the sushi you enjoy the half hour before you figure out that it was bad bad bad and that you are going to suffer for a long time (I am referring to rumors about next week's episode. But as I have not seen it yet, I will refrain from repeating them here).

Let me start by doing a bit of psychoanalysis on Susan. Is she just the type of woman who cannot stand on her own two feet without a man, or what? Her love for Mike is just over (snap!) the minute she finds him in bed with Edie? He is a recovering coma patient and Edie is manipulating him-- if Susan really loved him, I think she would cut him a little slack. But how could she know that he was about to start regaining his memory (and Edie's nurse costume would be the key!)?

Seriously. How many times can you read about pics/videos of a celebrity being lost/stolen and released on the internet before you learn? The latest to join the group of slow learners appears to be Desperate Housewives' Marcia Cross. TV Guide reports that Marcia somehow managed to throw some pictures of herself showering out with the trash.

Now the people that found them are taking bids. Of course they are. Cross claims that she threw the pics out by mistake, and would like them returned, but I would counter that the real mistake was taking them in the first place. Although, I'm really not sure what kind of a market there is for Marcia Cross nudes. She was already naked in 1996's Female Perversions, which is out on DVD.

(S03E01) I think what has worked about Desperate Housewives for the past two seasons is its incredible camp. I have not been a regular watcher for the past two seasons, mostly because the time the show airs coincides with children's bedtimes at my house. But I had caught the occasional episode here and there, and I read enough entertainment magazines to have a knowledge of previous seasons' plot points.

ABC is reportedly flipping out over a rough cut of a Desperate Housewives sex scene that somehow made it onto YouTube. The scene is from season three and (obviously) hasn't even aired yet. It is about a minute long and, apparently, is a pretty steamy scene with Marcia Cross and Kyle MacLachlan. There were two versions of it on YouTube and one of them claimed that the scene had been cut from the episode. ABC execs say that's not true- the scene will air but probably not in its entirety since Bree (Cross) gets pretty darn excited. (The link is supposedly here but YouTube is doing maintenance tonight and ABC said it asked for the clip to be taken down)

Variety is reporting that execs at all networks are worried about pirated scenes making their way to YouTube before making air... of major concern is leaking of cliffhanger videos to ruin major episodes. While I totally enjoy watching clips of shows that have already aired and of pilots that never made air, it is obvious in this situation that someone did something very, very wrong. Leaking video before it airs just isn't cool, man.

Marcia Cross, who plays Bree on Desperate Housewives, may have gotten married over the weekend. According to People magazine, Cross married stockbroker Tom Mahoney on Saturday in San Gabriel, California.

If the news is accurate, she chose a good weekend to tie the knot. From the sounds of it, all the paparazzi made the trip to Sydney, Australia for these nuptials.

Isn't this the housewife who, in real lie, admitted to being desperate to find a mate back during season one of DH?
