Mario Lopez vs. Charlie Sheen?
by Stephanie Earp, posted Mar 8th 2011 5:00PM
While Charlie Sheen spent last week making a reality show out of any TV or radio show willing to cover him, another longtime star debuted a behind-the-scenes show about his real life.On Monday, I watched the Canadian premiere of 'Mario Lopez: Saved by the Baby.' Obviously the show has been in the works since long before Sheen's ill-fated publicity storm, but however accidental, it provided a chance for little compare-and-contrast.
Mario Lopez Shows Off His New Baby Girl, Discusses His Own 'No-Neck' Childhood (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 3rd 2010 6:20AM
Actor Mario Lopez has a new baby girl! Gia Francesca Lopez weighed in at six pounds, four ounces when she was born, and the proud new father went through his family photo album on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS). He brought the pictures, but George Lopez was in charge of the selection -- and the host might not have gone with the ideal images.Little Gia was up first. Mario asked which photo it was -- then laughed and pointed at the screen: "Ohhh! She's naked right there!" And indeed, Gia had no clothes on, and was plunked in the middle of a bathtub. Luckily, much to her dad's relief, she was primly covering herself with her hands. But then, George moved on to a baby picture of Mario himself. "Oh no!" the actor said.
The photo revealed that Mario was a lot ... plumper as a baby than his daughter is. Mario pointed out that he had no neck whatsoever in the picture -- it was hidden beneath a layer of pudge -- and he added this comment: "My mom said I was so fat that my arms were like chorizo."

by Jean Bentley, posted Oct 8th 2010 6:30PM
The 'Deadliest Catch' rumors reported earlier this week are true: Capts. Sig Hansen and Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand are returning to the show. After the Hillstrands were sued by Discovery for not completing work on a spinoff series, they announced they would not participate in the upcoming season of 'Deadliest Catch.' Hansen followed suit and dropped out in solidarity with the brothers.
But now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the Hillstrands have resolved their legal issues -- they'll finish work on the spinoff and participate in 'Deadliest Catch,' and Discovery has dropped the lawsuit. "I'm extremely pleased that we were able to resolve our clients' situation with Discovery," a lawyer for the brothers told THR. "The captains are very excited about the new season."
"We're happy we worked everything out with Discovery," the trio said in a statement. "A deal's a deal. We're heading up to Dutch Harbor to start filming the new season of 'Deadliest Catch' and hopefully it will be the best one yet."

Did Tiger Woods Have a Son With His Porn Star Mistress? (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 21st 2010 9:35PM
Did you think that the Tiger Woods scandal was over? Don't worry, it'll never be over. We'll probably all still be talking about this in the year 2025 or something. The most recent news in the scandal is that porn star Devon James has filed a paternity suit against Tiger, claiming that he's the father of her 9 year-old son, Austin. 'Extra' (weekdays, syndicated) has the scoop. Porn star James is Tiger's semi-official 15th alleged mistress. Fifteen women: that's a lot. Tiger's wife Elin Nordegren refused to answer questions about the possible son, or the paternity suit.
According to James' allegations, Tiger met her before he was married, and has kept the son secret ever since. She is the second woman to accuse the golfer of giving birth to a "love child." In December, mistress Theresa Rogers also said that she gave birth to Tiger's baby -- she claimed that Tiger gave her millions of dollars in order to buy her silence.

It was an international showdown on the 'America's Best Dance Crew' season 5 finale (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) last night: Poreotix, a robotic group hailing from Westminster, Calif., versus Canada's the Blueprint Cru. "Fifteen million votes were cast and this is the narrowest margin of victory in 'ABDC' history," said host Mario Lopez. Before the winner was announced, the two street dance crews united to perform a high energy step routine together. But there could be only one winner of the $100,000 prize ...
The champions? Poreotix! Do you think they are the rightful winners? Check out their moves.

by Chris Jordan, posted Jan 29th 2010 2:00PM
It's the last dance for Samantha Harris on 'Dancing With the Stars.'Harris will not return as the show's co-host when the ABC series returns on March 22. After eight years interviewing the celebs and pro dancers alongside Tom Bergeron, Harris is moving on to concentrate on other gigs.
Producers haven't announced details about replacing Harris, but we've come up with our own list (in alphabetical order) of a few candidates who make sense, and maybe one or two who kind of don't:
Mario Lopez going to the dogs as Westminster host
by John Scott Lewinski, posted Jan 8th 2010 6:30PM
In this age of easily maintained celebrity, all you need to stay in front of people's eyes are a pretty face and a willingness to be there. Mario Lopez has both, and he's built that into a a career that keeps him resurfacing from one unrelated project to another without ever really showing any particular gifts for performing. Now, he's going to host the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this February on USA -- because, when you think elite canine breeding competitions, you think Mario Lopez. (Somewhere in all this is a joke about what a dog Saved by the Bell was, but it's too much of a reach to go there.)

(S06E06) "That's the wonderful thing about raising children -- they keep you young!" - Erica
With Teddy's murder now come and gone (I could go on for hours about how displeased I still am with the way her story ended), Nip/Tuck returned to safe territory last night in "Alexis Stone" by bringing back one of the most loved (and hated) characters to ever grace the show -- Julia's mother, Dr. Erica Noughton (played to icy perfection by Vanessa Redgrave). With Erica around, conflict is always guaranteed and this was no exception. Calling her the mother (and mother-in-law) from hell would be the understatement of the year.
