Joy Tries to Start an Argument With Elisabeth on 'The View'During an innocent discussion by Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the loss of her daughter's first tooth on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), Joy Behar made her best attempt to start a political argument by referring to the "birther" movement which openly questions President Barack Obama's citizenship.

"[My daughter] has this tooth that's wildly loose. It's just, like, hanging on my a string. So, I'm nervous. I'm like, 'I've got to get prepared before this thing falls out,'" said Hasselbeck. "So I tweeted, 'What's a tooth going for?' and 'Any new ideas for the tooth fairy?' I haven't done this before."

Mario Cantone Slams 3-D Tribute to Michael Jackson on Grammys (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Feb 1st 2010 3:00PM
We've never had much of a desire to see actor/comedian Mario Cantone close up, but, thanks to 'The View' (weekdays, 11AM ET on ABC), we now can. Cantone appeared on the daytime talk show this morning and slammed the 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson on last night's 52 Annual Grammy Awards, taking exception to the quality of the tribute and providing low-rent 3-D special effects of his own.

"Note to CBS: This is the Grammy Awards, not 'Avatar,' and there are 14 people who got the glasses. For those of us that didn't, it was not 3-D, it was blurry, very blurry ... It was not good," Cantone said, pressing his face against the camera again and again to illustrate his point.

Cantone said that Dylan's recent collection of otherwise beautiful Christmas carols is marred by his unique vocal style, and he offered an impression of the singer's gravelly voice to the tune of 'Here Comes Santa Claus.'

Ross and RosieRumors continue to fly as more and more people speculate who will take over Rosie O'Donnell's spot on The View. I haven't paid much attention to the ever-expanding list, but the two most recent names managed to catch my eye: Mario Cantone from Sex and the City and Ross "the Intern" Mathews from, most recently, Celebrity Fit Club. The View has always been about showcasing varying women's points of view, so how do Cantone and Mathews fit in there? Are they possible candidates just because they're gay men? Come on.
