It's Space Week on the Science Channel

Sun spotsDo you like space? Of course you do, you're floating around in it right now.

Despite the fact my brain is clogged with cartoon trivia and the words to that old Tootsie Roll jingle, I love anything having to do with space and space exploration, even if i don't always completely understand the science behind it. The X-Files: Space

x-files(S01E09) Real events inspired this episode. Chris Carter says he wrote Space after seeing the real 'face on Mars' photograph. According to the experts over at The X-Files wiki, this episode was meant to be a cheaply made one with lots of NASA footage but the construction of the command center pushed them over budget and made Space the most expensive episode of the season. Whoops.

Transformers trailer now on YouTube -- VIDEO!

transformers logoFinally! An actual, legitimate trailer for Michael Bay's Transformers movie is now on YouTube. The trailer really doesn't show any Transformers-- just the shadow of what might be Megatron. But, the weird part is that they're on Mars. Are the Transformers even from Mars? I sure don't remember that detail from my childhood. I watched a lot of Transformers in my time (with three brothers, Barbie loses out) and I thought it was all on Earth. Anyway, it'll wet your appetite for a movie that doesn't even come out until July 4, 2007. The trailer hits theaters next week with the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean.
