Stephen Colbert Eats Off of Martha Stewart's Blouse (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Nov 11th 2010 7:20AM
Stephen Colbert Eats Off of Martha Stewart's Blouse Was Stephen Colbert flirting with Martha Stewart on 'The Colbert Report' (weeknights, 11:30PM ET on COM)? Whatever the case, she dissolved into a torrent of giggles by the time she left the stage.

The domestic goddess and the host made some snacks and talked shop. This is her show's first year on basic cable and the Hallmark Channel, she explained. "Does Hallmark make a card for changing networks?" joked Colbert. "Yes," she replied succinctly.

Then part of their concoction spilled onto her blouse. "Let me get that!" said Colbert, who proceeded to pick it up with his mouth. "Oh, my God! she exclaimed.

Nine Fantastic Talk Show Guests

by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 9th 2010 1:00PM
Tom HanksTonight, Tom Hanks will appear on the second episode of the new 'Conan.' Hanks is one of the all-time great talk show guests (and likely a favorite of hosts) because he doesn't do what most people do: simply plug their latest movie, TV show, CD or book.

Very few things on TV are more lame and uncomfortable than watching a talk show where the guest has very little to say and hasn't even planned anything to say or do in advance.

After the jump is my list of nine talk show guests you can count on to be funny, interesting, unpredictable -- and often all three. They're the talk show guests that are "must-see" for me.

Martha Stewart on Halloween Dating -- and Dressing Up Her Dogs (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 26th 2010 4:05AM
Martha Stewart on Halloween Dating -- and Dressing Up Her DogsMartha Stewart likes everything to be just perfect -- in fact, you might even call her a perfectionist. On 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), the television hostess made some Halloween treats for Jay Leno. The topic of Halloween led to a discussion of nightlife, and also of dressing up.

And so Martha dished about her dating life -- and discussed how she likes to have her pet dogs wear diamonds to dinner. Not just for the holiday, but on everyday occasions.

It turned out that Stewart was kidding about the diamonds and the dogs -- sort of. Yes, she dresses her pets in "little coats," and yes, she has them wear necklaces. But it's not as weird as it could be -- at least Stewart doesn't put real jewelry on her pets. Martha revealed to Leno that her dogs' diamonds are "fake." Well, that's a relief.

Hoda Made Sure to Publish Her Autobiography Before She and Kathie Lee Get Thrown Off the Air (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 22nd 2010 2:21PM
Hoda Kotb, 'Martha Stewart'When she appeared on 'Martha Stewart' (Weekdays, 10AM on Hallmark) to talk about how she came to write her autobiography, Hoda Kotb let drop that not only did she not imagine she'd be sitting next to Kathie Lee Gifford ever (with an extra emphasis on ever!), she was worried the show would get thrown off the air.

Instead, the fourth hour of 'Today' hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb has become the subject of a recurring sketch on 'Saturday Night Live,' mostly for their prevalent use of win and for Gifford's outlandish behavior, and has been going strong for three years now.

Rating 10 TV Chefs: Who Would You Want Teaching You How to Cook?

by Allison Waldman, posted Jul 27th 2010 7:00PM
gordon_ramsay_masterchef_foxIf you're a bit of a foodie, you probably watch a lot of TV chefs. There are a bunch of them, all over the dial, sharing their knowledge of food and how to prepare dishes -- whether it's a bowl of chili or a beef Wellington. Tonight, for example, Fox's resident chef Gordon Ramsay will be launching a new cooking show called 'MasterChef.' (Not to be confused with 'Top Chef.')

'MasterChef' (9PM ET, Fox) is based on the Australian version of the show -- not the BBC model -- in which a large group of hopefuls from across the country audition with their best dish, and if they pass the judges, they move on to the semi-finals.

But have you ever thought about which of the celebrity cooks and chefs on television you'd want to teach you? We took 10 popular TV chefs and rated their teaching abilities from 1-10 -- 10 being the best possible teacher, 1 being the worst. Let us know if you agree with our ratings ...

Martha Stewart, Jimmy Fallon Discuss Double Rainbow Guy (VIDEO)

Martha Stewart, Jimmy Fallon Discuss Double Rainbow GuyOn 'Late Night' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC), Jimmy Fallon somehow turned a discussion of Martha Stewart's various travels into a plug for Double Rainbow Guy, the hilarious YouTube clip that has spawned some great parodies.

But before getting to that, Stewart mentioned Turkey's "Valley of Love," wherein "the rock formations look like giant, um, male members," she explained.

Then at a party in the South of France, she and the other attendees -- none of whom were famous enough to impress Fallon -- compared favorite viral videos. Thus, Fallon's fave:

"Some guy -- I don't know, he must be in Borneo having mushrooms or whatever -- he sees these two rainbows. He freaks out," said Fallon, launching into an impression.

"Oh, I have to watch that tonight!" Stewart said. Another convert.

Insulting the Stars on 'I Get That a Lot' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted May 19th 2010 11:00PM
Insulting the Stars on 'I Get That a Lot''I Get That a Lot' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) is a reality show where celebrities take regular, working-class jobs. Eventually, the stars are recognized, but then they deny being who they really are. For example, Martha Stewart will refuse to admit to being Martha Stewart, even when she is told that she looks just like her. The inevitable response from the stars on the show is -- you guessed it -- "I get that a lot."

On the most recent episode, one of the stars gets into trouble while meeting someone who isn't actually a fan of his. The bad thing happens to Nick Jonas -- who gets exposed as looking just like Nick Jonas while working undercover in a clothing store.

Unfortunately, the woman who sees him isn't that positive about the whole Jonas Brothers experience. "They're terrible," she says to Nick. "Musically, they're awful." Nick handles the whole thing pretty well, all things considered.
