Martha Stewart's Flirting With Leno Gets to Be a Bit Much for Taylor Lautner (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 3rd 2011 5:30AM
Taylor Lautner & Martha Stewart, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'When Taylor Lautner chose to stick around 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) for Martha Stewart's interview, he couldn't have anticipated the sexual tension that would soon be filling the air.

Stewart says her favorite time to entertain guests is in the morning, so when Jay Leno asked her about that, she immediately offered to make him breakfast in bed. "Will you be there?" he hinted.

Later, when asking if Lautner was too young for Stewart, she insisted that he was. "Jay, I like men like you," she said, at which point Lautner got up and said, "I'm gonna give you guys some room."

Martha Stewart's Daughter Reveals Not-So Perfect Childhood In Tell-All Book

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 3rd 2011 11:00AM
Alexis Stewart BookWhat's living with Martha Stewart like? Well, according to her daughter Alexis, it wasn't exactly all crafts and Christmas magic.

According to the Daily Mail, Alexis is opening up about her childhood in a new book, 'Whateverland: Learning to Live Here.'

"If I didn't do something perfectly, I had to do it again... I grew up with a glue gun pointed at my head," Alexis says in her new book out Oct. 18.

Alexis is Martha's only child. A divorced mother of one, she previously co-hosted radio and TV shows 'Whatever, Martha' and 'Whatever, You're Wrong!' on the Hallmark Channel. In 'Whatever, Martha,' Alexis and co-host Jennifer Hutt would make fun of old 'Martha Stewart Living' episodes and then try to cook or complete the project of the episode.

What to Watch: TV Picks for June 6 - 12

by Stephanie Earp, posted Jun 6th 2011 2:30AM

Teen Wolf - Monday June 6, 10 PM ET/PT, MTV Canada/MTV

MTV takes a risk with this luscious HD reboot of 'Teen Wolf' -- yes, the Michael J. Fox comedy from the 80s that's provided hours of parody scenes ever since. But this new version is anything but a joke -- it's dead serious, and looks to attract the pro-Jacob faction of Twi-hards. Previews and teaser reveal great cinematography, with much of the show shot after sunset. If the writing can match the mood, this could be a hit.

Martha Stewart Celebrates 1,000th Episode With Help From Seth Meyers (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 20th 2011 2:00PM
Martha Stewart marked the 1,000th episode of 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, syndicated) with a towering display of blue cupcakes furnished by a local bakery. And, to complete the display, guest Seth Meyers lent a helpful, if somewhat shaky, hand.

At the start of his segment, Meyers presented a giant cupcake meant to serve as a topper on the display. Then, he climbed a ladder and prepared to lower it into place. "I'm so nervous about this!" he said.

Martha Stewart Made Seth Meyers Feel Like He Was in 'The Matrix' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 15th 2011 2:56AM
Seth Meyers, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Seth Meyers and Martha Stewart have struck a kind of unexpected friendship through their various interactions over the years. He went on 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) and spoke with David Letterman about a recent interview he did with her at her home.

As expected, Stewart's home is immaculate. So much so, that Meyers was intimidated to even walk through it. "I was walking with the delicacy of a cat burglar," he said of a simple trip to the restroom in her house.

Martha Stewart Pranks Warm-Up Comic With April Fools' Coughing Fit (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 1st 2011 4:15PM
Martha Stewart feigns a coughing fitMartha Stewart pulled a pretty excellent April Fool's Joke today on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, 10AM on Hallmark), feigning a convincing coughing fit that pressed her warm-up act and sidekick Joey Kola into service hosting the show. Coughing into a napkin, Stewart whispered "Joey, take over," sending Kola nervously to center-stage.

Kola was obviously tentative and nervous. "You want me to do this?" he asked a producer. "I'm going to do it? All right, here we go." He took a deep breath and tried to navigate his way through a segment, with Stewart whispering nitpicky instructions to him, like "Read [the telemprompter] slower."

Ted Danson Tells Martha Stewart He Can't Cook and Talk at the Same Time (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 29th 2011 5:20PM
Ted Danson on 'The Martha Stewart Show'Sure, Ted Danson can talk and cook at the same time if a role calls for it. But today on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, 10AM on Hallmark), he admitted that would just be a fine bit of acting. In real life, talking and cooking are too difficult for Danson to pull off simultaneously.

Danson was stirring contents in a bowl for a recipe while Stewart asked him about 'Bored to Death' and his busy schedule. Danson stopped stirring and declared it impossible to talk and cook. Stewart pointed out that Danson is an actor, and he said, "I pretend to cook" and pantomimed stirring while talking. He may use the occasional interjection while cooking at home.

From that point, Danson was just an assistant, helping Stewart finish the recipe. What else does Danson not know how to do? Can he not mix drinks like Sam? Can he not set a splint like Becker? Can he not raise a child awkwardly yet hilariously with two other men? Sorry you had to find out this way, Danson fans.

Martha Stewart and Jimmy Fallon Make a 'Late Night Snack' Ice Cream Cake (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 28th 2011 5:10PM
Jimmy Fallon and Martha Stewart on 'The Martha Stewart Show'Jimmy Fallon has been pushing his new Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor, Late Night Snack, fairly heavily on the tube recently. So, it was only natural for him to turn up on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, 10AM ET on Hallmark) Monday, using his ice cream in a cake recipe.

Ice cream cake is a food close to Fallon's heart. He said his parents used to get him a Carvel ice cream cake every year for his birthday, and he showed a photo to prove it. The cake he and Stewart made used scoops of "Snack" with a layer of waffle cone topped off with potato chips.

Stewart chastised Fallon for taking a bite of one of the cone pieces and made him replace it. Fallon then chastised Stewart for using the term "spatch." "How much time are you saving by not saying 'tula'?" he asked.

Stewart responded with a big "whatever," and Fallon asked why she didn't say "whatevs." Final helpful tip: Take the cake out of the pan before cutting it. Or, even better, take the "ca" out of the "p."

The 16 Most Accomplished 'Real' Women on TV Right Now

by Joel Keller, posted Mar 16th 2011 1:30PM
Oprah WinfreyA couple of weeks ago, we gave you the list of the 100 most memorable female characters in TV history. There was lots of talk and conjecture among the readers about who we missed and who shouldn't have been there, which is why we do these lists to begin with.

But there were a fair number of people who asked us "Where's Ellen DeGeneres?" or "Where's Oprah?" among others. Well, since we were talking about TV characters and not real people, those folks had to be left off the list (And, yes, we know Ellen played a pretty important TV character ... more on this later.)

Fear not, loyal TV watchers. We've got a list for those of you who want to celebrate women who put themselves out there, have created a brand, or have made significant contributions to the current TV landscape as themselves and not a fictional character.

The list isn't in any particular order; after the first few obvious names, the rest of the women on this list come so close, it's hard to rank them. So we'll just start with TV's most accomplished woman (hint: her name starts with an O ... and it ain't Omarosa) and go from there.

Martha Stewart Exchanges Saucy Banter with Craig Ferguson (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 16th 2011 5:00AM
Martha Stewart Gets Saucy on 'Late Late'Martha Stewart and Craig Ferguson had never met before she appeared on 'The Late Late Show' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). But that didn't stop the host from dishing out oodles of sexual innuendos. Stewart gamely played along.

"You smell exactly as I'd hoped," Ferguson said. Stewart replied, "You have a preconceived notion of what I smell like?" He joked, "I've thought about you a lot over the years..."

Stewart glanced at his snake mug, and he explained: "It's a Freudian thing. I've got a small penis." She said dryly, "I don't need all that information," and pushed the "creepy" mug away.

Terry Crews Gets Domestic on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 3rd 2011 5:45PM
Terry Crews on 'The Martha Stewart Show'Terry Crews is know for playing tough, disciplinarian types in everything from 'Everybody Hates Chris' to 'The Expendables.' Today on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, 10AM on Hallmark), he showed his softer, domestic side, whipping up a batch of dough with Stewart.

The former NFL linebacker delicately dipped his finger into warm milk to test its temperature and listened patiently to instructions on how to make yeast. Apparently, he doesn't have the touch for it, though. When Stewart told him the yeast should be alive, he said, "Was that what was wrong with mine? It was dead?" He then smelled the batch of yeast Stewart had made, and was impressed enough he said he might drink it.

He then got all Barry White kneading the dough, moaning a little to himself. "I'm having an experience here," he said.

Kevin Nealon Tells Martha Stewart About His Disastrous First Kiss (VIDEO)

Kevin Nealon, Martha Stewart, first kissKevin Nealon discussed his awkward first kiss today on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (Weekdays, 10AM on Hallmark). Nealon entered wearing the same giant red wax lips many in the audience were sporting before sitting on Martha's lip-shaped couch.

"How much collagen is in here?" asked the 'Weeds' star. "Somewhere Angelina Jolie is going, 'Where's my lips?'"

Stewart then asked Nealon to tell the story of his first kiss. It happened on a hayride, and Nealon admitted he was very nervous. The ride was almost over, he explained, and it was now or never. He leaned in and closed his eyes, and thought the kiss felt pretty good, but maybe a little weird.

"I didn't realize I was kissing her eye," he said. "I thought she had a moustache, it was her eyebrow. I thought, I didn't see this moustache before. I was so embarrassed afterwards."
