by Chris Harnick, posted May 13th 2011 11:30AM
Oprah Winfrey is flexing her muscles in an odd way. The exiting queen of daytime talk shows has gotten an NBA game rescheduled. Why? Because she's filming one of her final shows at the United Center, the arena where the Chicago Bulls were supposed to play the Miami Heat.According to the Hollywood Reporter, the game was supposed to take place on Tuesday, but because of Winfrey's shoot it has been postponed until Sunday.
"We just got the e-mail saying we were supposed to start next Tuesday, but Oprah has it then," Charles Barkley said on ESPN Radio. "So they said, well let's do it Monday. Oprah is having one of her last shows, so she's got the United Center locked up.
"They're going to set up Monday and tape her show Tuesday. So they just sent out an e-mail and said prepare to go to Chicago and start Game 1 Sunday afternoon," he said. "They're going to move it up three days, for Oprah."
The game is the first of NBA's Eastern Conference Finals.
Winfrey reportedly wants to give Maria Shriver her own show. According to RadarOnline.com, Shriver is said to have been approached by Winfrey earlier this year, but now that Shriver has separated from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Winfrey is pursuing Shriver harder.

'The Chicago Code' Cast Previews the Show's Big Drama (VIDEO)
by Maggie Furlong, posted Jan 28th 2011 11:00AM
If you thought creator Shawn Ryan's last series, 'The Shield,' dove deep into a world of police and political corruption, just want until you see his new show, 'The Chicago Code' (premieres Monday, Feb. 7, 9PM ET on Fox).
The amazing cast includes Jennifer Beals playing the first female superintendent of Chicago, determined to change the city; Jason Clarke as her former partner turned go-to guy for help on the ground; and Delroy Lindo as one of the city's most powerful men, who isn't exactly an angel.

Add to that a sharp rookie, played by Matt Lauria, and Billy Lush as a cop so deep undercover he doesn't really know what's right anymore and you've got a beautifully layered drama that's the best new show of the year.
I caught up with the cast to hear more about the show, the shades of gray in all their characters and their newfound respect for the Chicago police department.

For season 4, which aired on DirecTV last fall and premieres tonight on NBC, 'Friday Night Lights' has introduced a new set of characters played by Michael B. Jordan, Jurnee Smollett and Matt Lauria. The three talked to TV Squad about joining the critically-acclaimed show.
